Chapter 2

"Let me go, you brute. You... you insect!You cheesy fry that has been badly burnt! Leave me!" I yelled, squirming in Rex's tight grip as I did not leave my hold over the bag in my hand.

"No, give it to me! Stop biting me, pest and hand the bag over!" he shouted back, struggling to restrict me while pulling the bag from my hands as I bit his hand. Ew! It felt disgusting.

I groaned, smirking as an idea came to me. Using the Martial arts skills that I learnt in elementary school, I pulled us to the ground and twisted my body, so that I was straddling Rex. With a flick of my wrist, I pushed the bag away and held Rex in a choking position.

As he tried to catch his breath, I released him, using the moment to grab the bag and run.

One thing everyone knew I was bad in was running. I was always last in track which is why I was not allowed to be part of any sports group. Pitiful, I know.

That's why, it was no surprise that I was not even ten feet away when Rex caught me, bringing to the both of us tumbling to the ground.

Ripping the bag from my hold, he peered in, only to look at me in astonishment.

"I thought you were trying to steal bullets? What is this, then?" he said, looking bewildered as he peeked at the content of the bags again.

I grinned at him, shrugging my shoulders innocently.

"It's sweets. I kinda got hungry so I thought I could eat those sweets when I got home. Plus, who even keeps bullets in a paintball place? Use your tiny brain, Rex," I confessed, grabbing the bag and running away.

I turned back to see Rex scratch his head, looking adorably confused, before his eyes widened.

If I got away with his Pa's sweets, he would most probably get killed within seconds. They were his father's most prized possession, something that no one was even allowed to touch.

Cursing loudly, he ran after me, yelling, "Come back here, you minx! Come back right now! Ugh... I don't want to die! Give it to me now!"
