4 Chapter 3 - Rules

The place was full of various colored flowers that were neatly planted and surrounded a medium-sized wooden house. The flowers of the same color were lined up and separated by a narrow pathway from other types and colors of flowers. This whole place actually had flowers planted everywhere and had creeping plants on walls. The design of the area was exceptionally fascinating.

We used the path for walking to reach the resthouse, and my head was not getting tired from looking around at this place.

"Make sure to prioritize number three instruction. Ms. Hyacinth, the owner's daughter, loves this place very much and values cleanliness," said manang Tonet. At the same time, I was still busy admiring this place.

I looked up, and there was no roof here, so the sunlight could reach the plants. It really looked like a dome when viewed from the outside.

"Of course. You will always watch the weather news so that when there is a storm and a hefty rain that hits here, you can use the controller to close the roof of the Dome. The flowers will be destroyed by the rain, so you must always be prompt at its closing. The switch, it's on the side of the door of this Dome here inside. I didn't show it to you, but it's easy to find."

I looked at her in disbelief.

A controller to the Dome's roof?!

Too dope!

"The owner of this Dome is a CEO of an advance electronic company; that's why this place is possible to build," she mentioned when she saw how overwhelmed I was.

I continued reading the instructions in my mind.

4. Pets are not allowed.

5. Bringing any outsider is not allowed, especially a man.

I wanted to face-palm after reading number 5.

We finally reached the resthouse, and I looked at the big tree next to it with small pink flowers. It was obviously old and had an iron swing tied to one of its branches. It was a 2 seater swing.

"And above all!" manang Tonet loudly emphasized, so I was a bit startled. "Be careful of Ms. Hyacinth when she visits here. She doesn't like to chat too much, so I hired you right away because you're mute. Actually, young. Miss is a rebel to her father. She used to be an obedient and loving daughter. She's rich, top notcher, and lined up by lots of suitors, but since her mother died and her Dad got re-married right away, that's when she changed. Well, undoubtedly, those events were too painful for her that she is trying to find a way to cope up."

We entered the resthouse, and the place was obviously taken care of well.

"Honestly, I feel sorry for the Hyacinth. I'm sure she just wants her Dad to understand how she was really hurt by the marriage he made right away. After all, his wife had just passed away. And one more thing, Hyacinth's Dad is known to be really strict. Everything he wants her daughter to do should be followed. That's also another sure reason for that girl to continue to rebel. That's why—" She stopped talking when she saw me just staring at her.

"Ahahaha! I'm sorry, Terry. I've been carried away by my chatter. At least, you know something about Ms. Hyacinth. She only stayed here last month, so maybe she won't come back here for a few months, so don't worry. You can solo this place."

A smile automatically lit my face with joy. What great timing!

I didn't have to worry about that Hyacinth from visiting this place. If luck hits me too, I will not meet that woman until I graduate and resign as the caretaker of this place. My ears were almost clapping with joy.

I would earn a lot here and even experience living in such a beautiful house inside a high-tech dome! Am I dreaming?

"It's good, and you liked this place," Manang Tonet said with a wide smile. It was evident in my sparkling eyes that I was really excited to live here.

I smiled sheepishly and only now did I notice that she was already holding a black suitcase. When did she get that?

"Since I think I already explained everything to you, I now can go. My children already have jobs, so I don't need to work anymore to support them; that's why I want to go back to the province. I am now passing this resthouse to you. Please take care of this place as if this is your own home." She handed me some keys for the doors here in the house.

I took it, and she looked at her wristwatch. "I'll be late for my trip. It's a good thing that Gabriella sent you here. I can feel that you're a trustworthy child right away, so I won't have to worry about this place when I get home."

I wanted to smirk instead of smile. You're just gullible.

I was supposed to walk her outside, but she refused and said I didn't have to, so I just nodded, and she left the Dome.

I secretly followed her outside. She had already taken a taxi and left.

I grinned. "Okay! I'm really the only one here." I talked to myself. I entered the Dome again, and the door automatically locks when you enter or exit. I immediately ran into the house and then closed the door then scanned the place.

Negative. No one's really here.

"Cool!" I said excitedly and then carefully took off my troublesome wig and placed it on the sofa. I didn't want to damage it since Gab will definitely strangle me.

I also erased the lipstick on my lips made by my sane cousin, and I hurriedly took off my turtleneck long sleeve blouse and the bra I wore with rolled socks inside.

Cloud 9. I can now breathe. I also scratched my neck that I really wanted to scratch earlier.

I was not afraid to remove my disguise because there was no CCTV installed here inside the Dome when I scanned this place. I know where to install those because I've worked as a CCTV installer before.

I saw one outside the Dome's door but not a problem. I could cover myself with a jacket, so it was not evident that I'm a man even though I don't wear a wig.

I brought my suitcase inside my room to arrange my things, and when I opened it, it made me sigh deeply.

Gab stuffed this with a variety of women's clothing. There was a long pink duster, pink jacket, pink bra, and endless pink. There were also women's t-shirts and some scarves since I was supposed to wear them so no one could see my adam's apple.

* * *"These scarfs are my collection that I will wear when I travel cold countries in the future, but I will lend them to you first. Take care of it, okay?"

"I don't need this since I'm the only one here. There are no houses next to this Dome, so that cut the hassle to me."

But at least, she didn't forget to include three sets of my school uniform here and two of my oversized shirts.

A smile was painted on my lips while I was arranging my belongings.

For the rest of my life, only now can I really live in such a beautiful house. I whistled with excitement.

But I really hoped that Hyacinth wouldn't visit here while I am still working at this resthouse. I still didn't like getting close to a woman. Even with Manang Tonet, I felt uncomfortable earlier.

But I'm not gay, seriously. Some women just made my life miserable before and did not treat me as a person except for Gabriella.

Starting from my mother, who abandoned me in an orphanage when I was so young.

Tsk. I suddenly lost my mood due to that bullshit memory.

To be continued...
