System Update

"What!?", Jacob woke up out of his sleep sweating profusely. "Who the fuck was that, why did I have that dream, Is something wrong with me?" The dream made Jacob freak out, he was no sure what to do.

"I'll just forget it, a dreams a dream. I was probably a female in my past life" Jacob didn't waste any time and brought up the system. Sadly, it was a timer, but it didn't have much time left on the timer.

"23:43"

Jacob waited eagerly as he waited eagerly then it finished.

Then prompt came in front of his face.

Jacob read each of them carefully and he was elated. It even had an info tab every time you have something you need information on. The interface itself was different, now it was more like a screen, and you were able to select everything instead of YES / NO. There was information on every stat that was on the system.

He had no plans on looking at all of them, he just inspected whatever caught his eyes. He pressed on Cosmic energy and selected the info option.

'Cosmic energy is the strength and vitality required for sustained physical or mental activity.'. The information made him sad, "Still as vague as ever I see". He clicked on damage and read the information tab.

'Excessive damage will cause your body to shut down, your body will cease to function and shut down. The info tab is dark, "IS that it? You tell me my body will shut down? How the hell should I stop it? How far can it go without shutting down...what's the limit?"

Jacob had many questions but he had no answers.

"Nice, I unlocked Mentality so I should be able to do my forgings" he continued to look through the updates, "I guess this is expected, It's just the first update." Jacob felt a lot more familiar with the system, but he noticed something that he had always been curious about.

It was the '+' sign that was beside some of them. He read the information about it, "What can I forcefully level up myself? That's what it means….so why can't I use it on my lifespan". Lifespan wasn't so easy to simply add it so he never pondered it. He selected the option to upgrade himself but it wasn't working.

"What do I need to upgrade myself, Is it cosmic energy?" Jacob answered his own question but then it only brought about more questions. "Where the hell do I find cosmic energy, I never heard something like this before"

Jacob felt there was nothing to figure out. He was unsatisfied but content at the same time.

He packed up his things and went on his way down his previous path.

Behind him the termite larvae still followed, he was annoyed but he allowed it. He walked for some time before he came across his first ant. It was a rather small one, so he never felt afraid. The same couldn't be the same for the termite larvae. They were scared and angry, they couldn't pick one. "I said to leave, I don't care if you were afraid".

Jacob left them and followed them ant, following it was better than walking aimlessly. He followed the ant and soon he came upon more which made the termite larvae even more afraid.

"Hmph"

Jacob didn't care about them anymore. The scenery started to changes, there were ant holes all around them, like gunshot holes big and small. It looked like he was in their nest. "I feel like there should be more ants here", the place was empty.

He continued to follow behind the Ant. Soon after, he crawled through and opening the ant went through then he came out into a vast clearing. The ceiling was high and the cave had lighting all over. It looked like a city. There were even first structures made by the ants themselves. Their movements looked like they were hurrying, and slightly agitated.

"What the hell did I walk upon", From where he was there were things that he could not make out. The ants that were down there were all smaller ants, the largest should have been around in size so he made the decision t go and explore it. "I should be safe", you guys should leave now.

Jacob was referring to the termite larvae, but they couldn't understand. "Damn, You can stay on my back but I won't protect you in the least". He made them crawl on his bag then he slid down to ground level.

He was not noticed even though he was not hiding, in fact, he was obvious."Maybe It's something to do with the fight, that might explain why there are only weak ants down here", Jacob was sceptical but he continued on his way through the ants.

They were talented, they even seemed to have some sort of civilization, even small ants had their own houses they made. You could tell they were intelligent. He followed the main road all the way to the centre of the city.

Soon he came upon a large building, or rather a castle, "Is this where the queen lived?" Jacob wondered, there were ants in the yard picking up eggs and carrying them away. "I guess it's some ants job to take care of the Queen's eggs, I guess that would make sense.

*squeal*

One of the termite larvae squealed out of fright. The squeal garnered some unwanted attention from them all. He grabbed the perpetrator and looked him dead in the eyes "What the fuck are you doing do you want to die?"

The little larvae were still panicking, soon it started to spit something from his mouth. Jacob was started because he knew what the substance was, He flashed his hand and the termite larva was cast in the air.

While Mid Air the termite larva was squealing, Out of nowhere, he was snatched up between the pincers of an ant nearby. The larvae ants were crushed between their pincers. The Ant was about 2 metres and was guarding the castle, so it had to be strong.

Jacob was shocked, he did not expect it.
