"Can't." Kurt sighs. "I have to get to the Lycan Council, for that meeting. I'm the only one missing and I know I'm holding up proceedings. Actually...I'd better leave now."

"Then talk to Dante." I suggest. "Start off with him-- no matter what has happened, he will help you. I promise you."

"I'll talk to them when we're all back in our packs." He counteracts. "It will help if I talk to him and your father at the same time. Maybe your friend, too. Gomez."

"Is that all for now?" I get up hastily, as Kieran knocks on the locked door. "I'm afraid so, Aly." Kurt searches for his car keys, before throwing the rest of the documents in the roaring flames and watching them disintegrate. "I don't know how any of the Alphas will react to my sudden need for help, given my reputation."

"Tell them what you told me." "Thanks for everything, Aly. You're giving me the strength I never knew I had." ----
