Chapter 24: Stopped Pretending

"It's good that you understand." Su Tang patted Avery's shoulder, feeling overly satisfied with her display of authority. 

Avery secretly pinched her thigh to stop herself from flinching and swat the hand that was touching her. She shot a deep look at Su Tang's feet before stepping back and walked towards Director Lim. 

Seeing her being so obedient to her, Su Tang's mood became lighter. She was no longer upset after being embarrassed by Director Lim. 

Under the gazes of several people, the young actress returned to the center where the other actors and actresses were waiting. One did not know whether she knew they heard the commotion earlier, but no one tried to be harsh on Avery again. 

Instead, as soon as she got closer and closer, more and more people took notice of her and feel that Avery was not so bad.
