Stalk much

I woke up this morning with bruises all over. I didn't realize it but the kitchen was filled with smoke again. I swear one of these days we're all going to end up homeless due to mom burning the house down.

I walked down the stairs and to no surprise my mom was trying to put out the smoke. You're probably wondering why we never call the fire department. There's two reasons for that. One my mom dated one of the fire men and their relationship ended badly. (Basically he cheated on her). Reason two is that my mom burns stuff a lot that the fire department stopped taking our calls. I didn't even try to help her because I was late for school and still needed to catch breakfast.

I walked into a different diner because I was worried that I would see that weird guy again. Thankfully there was one close by to my school but the food didn't taste that great. I walked to school and of course I was late and I was even later when I had to go through the metal detector. I walked into my class and took my seat. The teacher then introduced a new student that just came into the school. I was so tired I didn't even pay attention. I had just put my head down on the table when the teacher said my name. She told the new student to sit in the chair next to me. The student sat down and I turned around and told him that I could show him around school if he wanted. He said sure.

I showed the new kid around and didn't even ask him his name. He said his name was Ethan. I introduced myself and I felt as if we had become friends. School was over and I stopped to get a soda and a pop tart. As I walked home I saw the same old van that I saw the other day. I walked faster and quickly took out my phone to act like I was talking to somebody. I turned around to see if the van was still following and thankfully it wasn't. As I turned back around there was the diner guy standing right in front of me. I totally got scared but thought to myself maybe he lives in the neighborhood so I shouldn't jump to any conclusions yet. I asked him what he was doing here and he said he was just visiting his grandma who lives in the area. Whew. He introduced himself so I thought I should do the same but of course I didn't tell him my real name. He said his name was Josh and I told him my name was Abby (but my real name is Clara) but he didn't need to know that.

I walked past him and continued to walk home. He started walking too so that he could catch up. He said he was going this way anyway so he would just walk with me. I told him that it was fine and that my mom would't like it if she saw me walking with some guy. He then said that he would just find a different route and he walked away. I finally reached near my house and gathered my keys. As I begun to open up the door I saw Josh walking past and he waved. He was starting to walk near me when I ran into the house. My mom saw me walking with him when she was coming home and begun to yell at me. She told me that boys were dangerous and that I should never talk to boys ever. I was so mad that she told me that I shouldn't be friends with boys because then that would mean avoiding Ethan and that would just be plain mean and I really liked him too. As a friend I mean. I was so mad that I told her that I wouldn't be as dumb as her to let some guy change my life and that I was smarter than her when it came to several things for example cooking. I told her that her cooking was so bad that the neighbors had to move far away just so that they didn't have to smell it and that she was terrible at cooking the fire department didn't take out calls anymore. She just stood there in shock and I could see tears forming inside her eyes. I felt bad by what I said but I didn't know how to respond that I just walked up to my room.

The next day I didn't even talk to my mom and she didn't even look at me. I walked out of the door and started thinking about how I saw Josh yesterday and I was so afraid that he was following me. So I took extra precautions to making sure no one was following me and I thought I was in the clear but then every where I went Josh was just there. He said it was by coincidence but then after a few days of seeing him at my dentist, my neighborhood, my grocery store and even my school I just thought that it wasn't coincidence but more like stalking. I decided to confront him about it. So I went into the diner where he worked but the manager said that the guy quit a few days ago. I asked if he knew where I would find him. He told me but warned me that it was a bad neighborhood.

I didn't bother to listen to him but when I got half way there I turned around and before I could do anything someone tapped me on the shoulder and put a cloth over my mouth. I tried to fight the person off but the thing in the cloth knocked me out. I shouldn't have never walked over here. No one even knows where I am. How will they find me and who is this mysterious person that kidnapped me? Is it josh and what would he possibly want with me? I just wish I could turn back time and change things? I didn't even get to apologize to my mom for making her mad and saying the things I said. I just want to go home.
