1 Awkward Encounter

"A total of 120.00 miss''

"Huh?"was Janice Madrigal first reaction.

She emerge in her chats when she heard the cashier about her bill.

"How come? I only bought one dessert cone and a bottled water." She asked

"Is this not yours?" The cashier ask while holding one of the canned soda.

"No" "that's mine" said the guy at the same time. Putting away his phone after he hung up a call.

"Are you not together ?" The cashier ask again.

"No" "No" they said flatly in unison while looking at each others' eyes.

"Look, it is too troublesome if I punch it again" said the cashier while pointing at the long line ahead.

"Just collect him the money miss" the cashier said with a smirk. 'These two look like a couple'

As Janice was about to pay the guy already put a 200 bill, pack his goods and turn to leave without bothering his change. He walk fast as if he is chasing something.

Janice on the other hand was flabbergast for a while and chase the man.

"Hey! Hey! Hey Mr. SODA MAN" Janice shouted as she run after him. 'Why was he walking so fast? does he didn't know that he has a long legs' she thought to herself as she quicken her phase

Janice was not consider short with a height of 165 cm long but compared to the man walking ahead of her has a height of 183 cm. She doesn't have match, is she?

"Hey! Mr. Soda Man can I have a word?" She said as she jog to keep her phase with him.

"No." He rejected her directly.

"Just a minute I will not take long"

"I'm in a hurry miss" he said coldly and he quicken his steps when he almost reach the elevator lift so Janice could only watch the man disappear like that. She look at the money supposedly the payment of her goods and also his change. "Maybe I could keep it for now…"

How could she return this money to him. She is not the kind of person who will take advantage thou. She cannot accept the fact that the complete strange guy pay her goods. No way, it crash her pride.

As Janice was about to leave she look at the building "COLLEGE OF LAW". It is said that in A City the best medicine school and law school could be found here in Gucheng University. Even she herself travel from City C just to attend school here. 'is he from this college department? hmmm not bad' she thought.

And she remember the handsome face of the guy, 'he look exquisite at any angle yet brusque. No matter how handsome you are when you are rude…sign' I should eat my dessert cone before it melts.' she indulge herself in the dessert to alleviate her stressed. Janice has a lovely personality so no matter what situation she was in she handle it graciously. She really stand the meaning of her name as Gracious. Although she felt embarrass earlier the sweet taste of the ice cream removed all her embarrassment just like that. She is really a woman who can be please and get along easily.

The man reach his classroom on time. A little sweat formation could be seen on his handsome face. 'The weather is too hot and I walk fast now.' He thought as he wipe his face with his handkerchief.

The professor is giving them their case study assignment.

"Alvin Lu you are just in time, here this is your assignment"as he signal him to come closer on his table

"Breaching of Contract" he read

"Hmmm" his professor hum as he nod his head. "Each of you has different assignment"

"Okay, when will be the deadline?" Alvin asked

"Submit it to me tomorrow. " the professor stated for everybody

"Okay" was his only response as he walk to his seat.

Alvins' personality was cold on the surface but he is a warm friend. He just don't give his trust easily. He was raise that way. His father Alfonso Lu a prestige lawyer who fought like a lion king in the court room and his mother Amira Lu a compassion accountant in her generation. His parents was the founder and owner of A&A Law and Accounting Firm, the most famous firm not only in F City but also in other City nearby including A City. Although his parents were wealthy Alvin himself join stock-market business as he finish his baccalaureate degree. He never wanted to depend on his ancestors wealth. At the age of 24, though he is in his 4th year in law school, he was categorize as one of crazy rich bachelor.

" Alvin can I have a can of soda? I am so thirsty.." Marco Called. he is Alvin's classmate in law school and a friend of him for more than 10 years now.

Alvin reached one of the soda canned to him "thanks, oh it's still cold" he wink at him as he carefully open the led and drink it "it is so refreshing at time like this. You are such a blessing as a friend"

"It's not for free. You should pay 50.00 for it and my service charge as well" he tease his friend as he himself sip his.
