Chapter Fifty Four.

"In gambling houses most people don't talk about such things but you can find a specific people withholding such information but you need to pay them unlike restaurants where people gossip freely,"Feng Yi reasons.

The three lurk around the market exploring different restaurants and inns while gathering information. Someone might think they are rating the restaurants. They don't eat that much,they order light foods and don't end up finishing them. They finally decide to have their dinner at the most popular restaurant. Feng Yi and Duan Xinyue sit across from Lei Qiang as they settle down in Mingyun Restaurant. Duan Xinyue has been licking his lips consecutively and when his eyes meet Lei Qiang's eyes he bites his lower lip and looks away.

"Bro Duan you have been licking your lips a lot today. Are you sick?"Feng Yi asks placing the back of his palm against Duan Xinyue's forehead to feel his temperature.

"I'm fine. It's just that my lips feel a little dry. Maybe it's because of the sunny weather so my lips are a little dehydrated,"Duan Xinyue clarifies hoping Feng Yi won't ask any further questions.

"Oh,"Feng Yi replies bluntly.

As they exit the restaurant,they enter the carriage right away. General Fei is well and so is his carriage since it bears his name. A middle aged lady comes wailing and crying out for help while calling out General Fei's name. Seeing Feng Yi around, she's sure General Fei is in the carriage.

"General Fei I know you're in there please help me."

Feng Yi calms her down and agrees to help her. Her husband has been trapped in Black Garden Pavilion,a famous prostitute house. The three men head there right away. With their status ,they are able to enter Black Garden as they like.The lady's husband has been captured and they want to kill him. He has been dining and dashing for days and he also he slept with one of the prostitutes there and he hasn't paid yet. The three men pay up for his expenses and he's freed.

"This despicable man cheated but his wife is ready to save him,"Duan Xinyue snorts.

After dropping the lady and her husband at their home they go back to the military camp feeling a little exhausted.

"Now that Du Yichen left you should move in to my tent so the vacant one may be used for other purposes,"Lei Qiang tells Duan Xinyue as Feng Yi leaves the two together.

"There are many vacant tents why should I move out?"Duan Xinyue argues back .

"To make it convenient to discuss the investigation at night or in morning hours."

"That makes sense. But why should I be the one moving out and not you?"

'Because you're my wife and wives should be submissive to their husbands,'this is probably the correct answer in Lei Qiang's heart but he can't say it out loud. Seeing Lei Qiang isn't able to answer his question Duan Xinyue finally submits to him and they head towards Lei Qiang's tent.

As they enter the tent, Duan Xinyue probably didn't expect to be pinned against the bed the moment he sets his feet inside the tent. It seems like an invisible trap and he walked right into it and now he's trapped.

"Lei-xiong what are you doing? Where did you pick up these weird behaviours from?"

"From you,"Lei Qiang replies smiling mischievously.

"I fear when you usually smile like that."

"Says the one who has been licking his lips all day,"Lei Qiang says teasingly.

"So you intentionally wore red today because I said it's my favourite colour?"

"Yeah and you didn't even compliment me."

"Lei-xiong get up so we can talk properly."

"Why? Your mouth isn't covered. Can't you talk like this?"

"You're too close.If you continue being close like this I might not be able to hold it in any longer and I might end up losing my chastity"Duan Xinyue admits.

"Hold in what? Am I that attractive that you can't hold in your desires?"Lei Qiang teases

"I think so."

"So that's why you've been licking your lips all day?"

"Lei-xiong you're always like this. You take advantage of me whenever you feel like and you never take the responsibility."

There is silence between them for a moment before Lei Qiang speaks up again,"What did you whisper to Yuan Ye about?"

"He seems to be interested in me so I agreed to spend one night with him in exchange for him to help us with information about the investigation."

"Really? You would sleep with a stranger just for that?"

"He's not a stranger. He's more of an acquaintance."

"So you prefer your so called acquaintance than me?"

"Sect Master Lei,has anyone seen this side of you?"Duan Xinyue asks in a sultry voice.

"Of course not. Why do you address me as Sect Master Lei at this time?Even a sect Master like me has desires you know,"Lei Qiang speaks drifting away a bit. Duan Xinyue who has been holding his breath exhales with relief.

Duan Xinyue suddenly pulls the 'Ziran Zhuzai' sword from Lei Qiang's waist.

"You're a dangerous beauty."

"Why?"

"No matter how beautiful you dress up you always use this sword as your belt. You're always ready slice up those who go against you. It frightens me sometimes,"Duan Xinyue speaks in a rather frail nature.

"My sword is always at the waist to slice up enemies but my waist is for you to touch."

"What's wrong with you today? Did you drop in a pool of aphrodisiac?"

Suddenly Duan Xinyue notices several droplets of sweat on Lei Qiang's forehead.Lei Qiang claims he's feeling hot. Duan Xinyue joins the dots and finally figures out they might have been poisoned when they entered Black Garden Pavilion. Since Duan Xinyue has made all types of aphrodisiac before,with him poisoning himself and curing himself , he's probably immune to any kind of aphrodisiac.

'Oh no! Feng Yi must be experiencing the same symptoms!'

Duan Xinyue throws Lei Qiang to the side and he falls on his back like a sack.
