27 A chaotic scene

Lei Junmo urged Yu Xi, "Beat me up. Beat me as hard as possible. Anyway, I always get beaten up at home. Also, I have nobody to help me here. But you… You have your friends. So, beat me up."

Yu Xi was torn between anger and confusion on hearing Lei Junmo's request. He could not understand what was wrong with Lei Junmo's brain. On one side, he offends them and on the other side, he himself asks them to beat him up. 

'Is this person out of his mind?' Yu Xi thought as he hesitated for a while.

On the other hand, Lei Junshan and Lei Juncheng, astutely perceptive of their brother's character and tactics, exchanged knowing glances as Lei Junmo pleaded with Yu Xi to inflict harm upon him. They smiled at each other as they understood what Lei Junmo was trying to do. 

As Lei Junmo asked Yu Xi to beat him up, he felt the reassuring weight of two hands resting on his shoulders. Believing that Lei Junshan and Lei Juncheng had finally intervened to support him, Lei Junmo's confidence soared.

He gloated at Yu Xi, "Hah! Did you think that you could beat me up? Have you never taken a look in the mirror? I myself can teach a good lesson to all of you, but now even my brothers are with me. Now you will see what happens to you guys."

He then said, "Brothers, attack!"

As Lei Junmo confidently called on his brothers to confront Yu Xi and his friends, he expected their immediate intervention. However, when the anticipated attack failed to materialize, Lei Junmo turned, puzzled, to find two unfamiliar men standing behind him. The situation took an unexpected turn as Lei Junmo realized that the hands on his shoulders were not those of his brothers.

A sense of realization dawned on him, accompanied by a subtle unease. Lei Junshan and Lei Juncheng appeared seemingly unfazed by the brewing tension as they held glasses of wine and took seats in the plush chairs nearby. Their nonchalant demeanor suggested a detachment from the impending conflict, as if they were mere spectators in this unfolding drama. 

Lei Junmo panicked again as he realized that his brothers were not helping him. His attitude changed again as he smiled at Yu Xi, "Brother, just now…I was joking. Why are you getting serious? Fighting with each other is a very bad thing."

He then stepped forward and shook Yu Xi's hand, "It was nice meeting you guys. Now I am finally leaving, okay? Bye everybody."

Lei Junmo then turned around and tried to leave. However, before he could escape, the two unfamiliar men moved swiftly, catching up to Lei Junmo. The mood in the club shifted from tense anticipation to a chaotic flurry as the men took matters into their own hands, determined to deliver consequences for Lei Junmo's earlier provocations. 

The two men began to deliver a harsh reality check in the form of a beating, their actions more severe than Lei Junmo might have anticipated.

Meanwhile, Lei Junshan and Lei Juncheng, rather than intervening, watched the scene unfold with a surprising amusement. Their amusement seemed to stem from the fact that they wanted Lei Junmo to be taught a lesson. Lei Junmo always behaved childishly and before his immaturity could result in dire consequences, the two brothers wanted their youngest to learn a lesson. 

As Lei Junmo, now facing the consequences of his actions, pleaded for help while being beaten, Lei Junshan and Lei Juncheng maintained a façade of nonchalance. Their apparent indifference wasn't a reflection of cruelty but rather a deliberate decision to let Lei Junmo experience the repercussions of his behavior firsthand.

As the confrontation escalated, Yu Xi, fueled by frustration and anger, delivered a series of blows to Lei Junmo. Despite Lei Junmo's attempts to plea and negotiate the intensity of the beating, he found himself at the mercy of Yu Xi's wrath.

"Brother, you can hit me wherever you want, but please don't hit me on the face," Lei Junmo pleaded with Yu Xi. 

However, whether driven by a desire for revenge or an unwillingness to comply with Lei Junmo's request, Yu Xi's next blow was about to land squarely on Lei Junmo's face, a sudden intervention disrupted the rhythm of the altercation. Lei Juncheng, one of Lei Junmo's older brothers, stepped in, firmly grasping Yu Xi's hand before the hit could land.

With a stern expression and a commanding tone, Lei Juncheng warned Yu Xi once again, "Didn't you understand? He said not to hit his face."

As Yu Xi, undeterred by Lei Juncheng's warning, attempted to retaliate by targeting Lei Juncheng himself, the situation escalated further. Lei Juncheng, quick to defend himself and his younger brother, responded with a forceful counterattack. A clash of blows ensued between the two, intensifying the chaos in the nightclub.

Witnessing his brother embroiled in the physical struggle, Lei Junmo abandoned his passive role. Fueled by a mix of adrenaline and a desire to protect himself and his family, Lei Junmo joined the fray, launching a counteroffensive against the members of Yu Xi's group who were attacking him.

As the nightclub transformed into a chaotic battleground, Lei Junshan, the eldest of the Lei brothers, remained seated with an air of calm confidence. Observing the skirmish unfolding before him, he recognized that his brothers, Lei Juncheng and Lei Junmo, were more than capable of handling the situation. 

The sudden escalation reached a chilling climax as Yu Xi, in a brazen move, suddenly produced a gun and fired a shot.
