The Next Huge Step

TINA

“Don’t panic.” – Sir Jiego said as he went to the door and locked it.

Funny. Before he said that, I was actually calm. Or at least externally. I was trying to make sense of what is happening in a logical manner so that I can think well on how to handle this situation.

Sir Jiego held the door knob, as if stopping it from opening.

“What do you need me to do, sir?”

“He wasn’t supposed to be here. Once was enough. I don’t remember being so friendly last time that gave him the impression he’s welcome to visit anytime.”

“He’s on his way, sir. I don’t think telling him off would be effective. Might as well tolerate it.”

He sighed and let go of the knob. It was still locked. Why was he holding it in the first place? It’s not like it’s gonna burst open.

“You’re right.”

“So… how do I help, sir?”
