152 Picture Perfect

Lunchtime at the Valois mansion had an extra twist today with Rose and Annabella as the guests. Sophia and Alonso were both missing from the lunch table probably tied up with a meeting at the Holding which wasn't unusual. But what caught Natalie's attention was Gabriella's request to dine in her room, it was completely out of the ordinary.

"Want some more rice? It goes great with the roasted beef and charred veggies, our chef's specialty," Natalie offered politely from across the table.

"I'd love some, thanks," Rose replied, lifting her plate so Juan could scoop another spoonful of rice onto it.

Maybe it was because Rose hadn't been born into a privileged family and had made it on her own that Natalie felt completely at ease around the doctor, despite her guarded demeanor and words, when Rose smiled, it was always genuine.
