CHAPTER 6::'DATE'

In the morning she went to work looking more refreshed she stopped at that one cubicle and hugged Susan like there was no tomorrow.

"Where were you?" There was time so Axelle explained everything to Susan without a miss even the text and the condom nothing was left out after all they are besties.

"Wow" Susan was surprised not because of the condom but her friends relationship with the CEO so when he dismissed her yesterday he went to visit Axelle Susan smiled ear to ear.

" Don't smile I have a boyfriend." Axelle pouted she knew her friend disliked Jeru but Jeru is her lover after all.

"Sorry sorry let's get to work or he will seize our break no your break and you two will end up having a hospital date" Susan said teasingly pretending she was working.

"Shut up Susan" Axelle rolled her eyes and headed for her cubicle which was opposite Devin's office and therefore Susan's cubicle was opposite hers.

She stared at the door of Devin's office,with less disgust at least he had a heart she thought.

It was lunch time she peeked at his office wasn't he sort of hungry.

She walked into his office after her knock.

"Mr CEO why not go out for lunch I doubt you even had breakfast."

"You care because?" He said not giving her a glance at all.

"I..." She stopped she doesn't even know why she cares all of a sudden.

"Brew coffee and fetch vegetarian burger for me."

With that she left hurriedly and ran to the cafeteria where Susan was waiting for her.

She walked to Susan's table and said in rush all at once"I will be locked up in the CEOs office today enjoy lunch" 'a date again' Susan thought with a grin , Axelle quickly ran and ordered the burgers and ran to his office she placed them on the table and then went to brew the coffee the cup tipped over she was about to bend to pick it up when Devin halted her.

He picked it up and handed it to her and walked unhurriedly to his office chair.

She figured he hated sugar and brewed black coffee it wasn't as bitter as it ought to be.

He took a sip of the coffee and munched on the burgers so neatly if it was her the wraps would be on the edge of the office and the leaf will grow wings and fly but get stuck in her teeth but he ate it effortlessly and neat.

He caught her gaze and she shyly looked away "eat don't stare."

He was a man of few words but the words were followed by a domineery and dictative aura.

She looked at the burger she hated vegetables she frowned and shifted the burgers "I don't really like vegetables you can have it."

He walked out of his office and headed to the cafeteria he bought chocolate chip cakes and cola.

He took the pack oblivious to the gossip spreading emperor CEO doesn't like sweets and he bought sweets was it for someone and there happened to be one person who wasn't present Miss Axelle she wasn't present yesterday too.

Devin walked into the office and handed her the paper bag and sat finally to eat his burger.

"Thank you but how did you know I liked cola?"

"Lucky guess" he grinned.

She ate the cakes and gulped the cola in one go.

She was really a foodie. He thought

After eating she took a servette and cleaned the edge of her lips then trashed the wraps.

She walked out but before leaving she said "thank you " with a smile that made her dimple look deeper.

She walked out happily.. good food makes her really happy Devin thought and kept that as a reminder.

Susan was staring through the transparent walls of her cubicle only Devin's office was sound proof and not see through .

"Spill it " she got tired of waiting for her dumb best friend to talk.

"Nothing special we just ate and..", "Did CEO Devin come to the café to buy you food" Susan asked anxiously

Axelle only nodded not seeing where it was going to she has a boyfriend..

"Work Suz ,work!." Axelle said and pretended to be lost in work.

Susan gave Axelle a knowing look and she continued working.

Just then the intercom rang Susan got up and picked it.

"Miss Susan inform the CEO that there is a woman waiting for him should I let her in?"

"Her name and does she have an appointment with the CEO."

"Uhm... Miss Zoey west,I doubt she does."

"Direct the call to the CEO." Susan said shortly and glanced at Devin's office.

"What's it about?" Axelle asked as soon as Susan ended the call with the receptionist.
