CHAPTER 3::SCENT.

Devin didn't know why but he felt Axelle's scent was familiar maybe he was imagining he hadn't slept in a while now.

But still he had wanted to call Ben to order the most expensive cocoa milk perfume he just loved the scent but that would be weird.

He looked for unattended work and started attending to them to distract him from this familiar scent.

While calling Susan and Axelle in and out to either help print documents or type or be insulted for doing something 'wrong and not perfect' typical of Devin the two inwardly sneered.

It was lunch time and no employee is meant to be in their work cubicles they are meant to be in the cafeteria located at the third floor.

All employees gathered there except Axelle,they ate and chatted in groups only Susan sat alone she hardly talked to other employees except Drey and Axelle.

Drey was both Axelle's and Susan's friend till he left the sy company to start his new comer gaming industry he has been progressing smoothly.

She ate in a corner while watching the others eat from afar.

*Devin's office.*

Devin's phone rang he leaned over to check the caller ID when he saw it was his grandfather.

"Devin,Zoey is back from overseas and will come and live with us in the sy villa."

As long as she isn't staying in his House then he felt alright with that.

"Hmm, when she comes call me and I will visit her." He said indifferently

Old man sy smiled he will have grandkids running to and fro soon enough he thought.

Zoey is from the reputable West family although her father was a politician and luted the country's treasure and all was taking from him they were able to send Zoey abroad.

Zoey is beautiful but she isn't curvy so she had gone under the knife just so she could be curvy,Devin doesn't really care about curves at least be a vibe and also of morals.

So right now instead of her being his childhood sweetheart she is more of a disgust and shame to the West family.

"Axelle."

Axelle walked shakingly she hadn't eaten and she was tired from walking in and out.

She slumped on the office chair with eyes closed she blacked out.

Devin looked at her nonchalantly and called Ben to take her to the hospital. Susan came from lunch and Axelle's cubicle was empty she turned to his office and just had to wait incase axelle was okay or not.
