Out shine the celebrant

The next day at work, Alicia reminded everyone about her birthday party that night and promised them how fun and epic it would be. 

She leaned on Marissa's desk, "You're coming, aren't you?" She asked with a small smile. Marissa wasn't sure whether to come or not. She had a feeling Justin would show up too and she didn't want to feel uncomfortable. 

"Um.. I am not so sure. I think I'll pass. Happy birthday once again though."replied Marissa as she turned her focus back to the dress she was trying to cut with a pair of scissors. 

"Please don't say no," she pleaded giving her best baby face. "I'd allow you leave from work early enough so you can attend on time."

With much reluctance, Marissa agreed to showing up. 

That evening she was dressed in a long body con peach dress she designed herself . She made sure to style her hair and put on some makeup. She looked beautiful, elegant.
