Bab 4. Hide And Seek

"Ho ... how do you know my name?"

"Of course I know! didn't I tell you that I am a devil? I am the great Leviathan, the demon lord of the seas!" he said stylishly, spreading his hands apart as if there were waves behind his body in the background.

Edelweiss was silent, frozen in place. Seeing a man in a strange robe who claims he is a devil. It feels very hard to accept common sense. Which crazy person still claims to be a super powerful creature in this modern age? if you want to confess, why not just be a superhero? Suparman or Batman? why the devil?

"Even though he knows my name, but he looks like he's just a hypnotist. Seeing his strange appearance, it seems like he's the newest type of conman to trick other people. He definitely wants to take my things while I'm busy arguing with him. Oh yes, my cellphone, maybe it is ..." being too paranoid, Edelweiss immediately checked her bag to make sure that her wallet and cellphone were still there.

Seeing her strange behavior, Leviathan frowned. He was a little unable to understand what humans usually do on land. But one thing he can confirm, this young woman named Edelweiss does not believe that he is a devil.

Realizing that she is trapped with a strange suspicious man, Edelweiss immediately takes a thousand steps to avoid the 'street magician' who claims to be a legendary devil.

"I have to get out of here! goodbye my beloved scarf! I'm sorry I couldn't save you from that weirdo!" she shouted to herself.

"Hoi, don't go! tch, damn it! I just found her, but she's already run away. Okay, young lady, wherever you go, I'll definitely find you!" Leviathan inhaled the scent of Edelweiss from his scarf. He smiled, not expecting that this game of hide and seek would be such a little fun.

Meanwhile, Edelweiss who managed to escape from a mysterious robed man is waiting for the train to depart for the next Aberdeen. She missed the train and now she has to wait two hours.

Edelweiss was forced to enter a nearby cafe, ordering a cup of coffee to calm her anxious self.

"Ah shit! how about this? why in two hours? Ryan must be angry!" she muttered irritably.

"What? missed the train? how come? what were you doing to miss the train?"

"He must say that! agh ... annoying! it's all because of that strange person. Why did he have to find my scarf? don't let me meet him again!"

"Meet who?" asked Leviathan who was sitting in front of her, grinning like a terrible wild wolf.

"Yo ... you? why are you here?" she shouted loudly, making the people who were inside the cafe immediately looked at her in confusion.

"Don't scream! you've annoyed other people! sluuurp ... ah ... ! what's this? it's delicious too!" he said, sipping a cup of coffee.

"Don't drink my coffee!" Edelweiss shouted again. Instead of being confused, people were whispering about her.

"I ... I'm sorry!"

"I told you not to scream!"

"This is all your fault! why are you here? you followed me, huh?"

"Of course!" he said casually as he devoured a piece of Edelweiss' chocolate cake that he had not touched at all.

"Don't eat my cake ...! excuse me!" she exclaimed, calling a cafe waitress to help her drive away the strange man who stole her coffee and chocolate cake.

"Yes? can I help you, Miss?"

"Please, send this guy away! he keeps bothering me! he also drinks coffee and finishes my cake!" she asked. Instead of responding to her request, the cafe waitress looked confused.

Not only the man, but everyone in this place was staring at her in a strange manner. Edelweiss froze, a bad feeling arose and made her body shiver.

"No ... no! don't look at me like that! I ... I beg you, don't do that ...!" she thought. She felt tight in her chest as if she had swallowed a very large rock.

"Sorry, Miss! but, I didn't see anyone sitting in front of you!"

"Re ... really? but ..." her eyes immediately glanced at the mysterious man who was sitting right in front of her, grinning and looking scary.

Edelweiss shuddered, this really scared her. Even though he is a magician or even a witch, how can he disappear and just appear? not even a single person can see him.

"I'm sorry! I'm really sorry!" she said with a bowed face. Still shaking, Edelweiss had a hard time fighting the bad feelings.

"Didn't I tell you? I am a devil. Do you still not believe it?"

"No! I can't possibly believe it! you're just a crazy witch with a mental illness!" Edelweiss got up from her place, paid for her coffee and cake to the cashier, then walked away from the shop.

"Huh ...! what happened? why could something like this happen to me?" she thought while taking a deep breath and exhaling slowly.

"Where are we going now?" asked Leviathan who was standing beside her smiling.

"Kyaaa ....!"

"Edel, are you okay? why is your face so pale?" asked Ryan, the good friend who faithfully waited for Edelweiss at the station for two hours.

"Ryan, I'm sorry! I'm really sorry!" she said softly with a pale face because she felt depressed along the way.

The strange man in the black robe who kept following her, even daring to sit beside her while on the carriage.

"It's been millions of years I've never been out of the sea, it turns out that the land is good too, huh? bla bla bla bla ..." the man kept on babbling like a boy who had set foot outside the house for the first time. The tens of minutes on the train seemed like days.

"What's the matter? why are you sorry? is there a bad person bothering you? tell me!"

"No! he's just a freak who drinks coffee and eats my chocolate cake!"

"What?"

"Can we go home now? I'm so tired!"

"All right! you look pale, want me to take you to the hospital?"

"Don't overdo it, Ryan! I'm just tired! I want to go home and sleep!"

"Alright ... alright, let's go home now!"

Seeing Edelweiss leave, Leviathan chuckled. He guessed that the reason Edelweiss didn't jump on the tracks was because she was worried about the man.

"Is that so? apparently there is worry like that in her heart. Well, I will help you get rid of your fear. That way, you can go to hell in peace!"
