2 Scummy Elites

The crowded hall was filled with people, all dressed in expensive and fancy outfits, holding their heads up high, looking at me down from below was making me feel uncomfortable. I was wearing a long white dress, cut in a form-fitting style, showing off my curves and perfectly smooth legs, paired with elegant heels.

I started my shift at my second job.

I was there to please them, not sexually but with my company and personal knowledge. That's how I justify what I did.

"Hi, I'm Arabella, your hostess tonight," I said as I stood up straight and smiled.

This job wasn't my dream job, but at least they paid well, and that's all I needed to pay for my mother's hospital bills. 'Just a few more months,' I whispered to myself knowing damn well that was all the time left until she was discharged from there.

To entertain them, talk to these rich bastards who were there without their wives or mistresses. My job was to gossip about the newest fashion trends, movies and celebrities and tell them what they should wear next season. To make them laugh and leave with a smile on their faces.

"Welcome to XO BlurryHouse, tonight is special, we will have guests from all over Europe!" The owner announced. "Here, take a look around, and enjoy your evening."

I quickly went around the tables, greeting everyone. All of them wore expensive, branded suits, talking loudly into their phones, discussing business deals and the stock market that I had to study to understand even a little bit to carry on the conversation with them.

"Oh, hello! So sorry to interrupt you," I said as I stood behind a man wearing a black suit. He seemed to be busy, typing on his phone while he was speaking to someone. "Excuse me, I need to speak with Mr."

"Mr X?" The man turned around with a raised eyebrow, "oh yes, I remember." He walked towards me and smiled. "Hello, Miss Arabella. You're here early, aren't you?"

"Yes, I'm very excited, this is our first VIP event."

"Well, I hope you enjoy yourself. I believe you know many of my clients, right?"

"I do, Mr X." I nodded and smiled, "I'll make sure to introduce myself later if I can." I slowly tried to back away as this man was annoying. He was old, and most likely could be my dad's age.

I was only twenty-two.

"If that's your wish, Miss Arabella." He smiled and waved me goodbye.

My work was just beginning.

***

The owner of this place was a nice lady. I was thankful to her for letting me work here until I'm financially stable, but slowly with time, this place became my second home.

Everyone working here had their reasons to stay, and that was what made me love this place even more. I wasn't the only one with financial problems and were they, that's why we supported each other. A bunch of girls, some married, others single, living together in a house full of fun and laughter.

"Good morning ladies and gentlemen! I am happy to announce that we will be starting our first dance performance. Miss Lulu is going to perform a ballet piece, accompanied by music played by her pianist!" I spoke to a microphone as I pulled my lips away from it after finishing my announcement.

My heart was still beating like crazy and my voice kept stuttering. I hated public speeches but had to pull myself together for tonight.

I looked around the hall, seeing a lot of heads turning in my direction.

"Don't miss this opportunity to see her perform live, and support a local artist, she won't disappoint you!" I laughed loudly as I pushed my hair back behind my ear, "now, let's start!"

As soon as the music started, I gracefully walked off the stage and grabbed a tray full of champagne that even with my one-year salary I still couldn't afford it.

I poured the drinks into glasses and handed them out to different tables, smiling at them, complimenting them and telling them how good it feels to see such a beautiful show.

There was one more table that I needed to serve, it was a Vip people that the owner was talking about. I had to be on my best behaviour tonight, otherwise, I'll get fired, and I didn't want that. I was counting on this money.

The men next to that table were talking loudly, judging by how fancy they were dressed but with dark tattoos on their arms and necks, which they were somehow mafia related to. I wanted to avoid that type of person.

One of them was a dark-haired guy with a ponytail, looking like a model, with sharp eyes, watching me with interest.

"Miss Arabella, would you mind serving us tonight?" The man in the middle asked. I looked at him with my big brown eyes and gave him a shy smile.

"Of course, Mr X."

"Thank you, dear," He smiled and offered me his arm, I accepted it and walked over to their table. I felt how sweat forming under my armpits, and I cursed the dress I was wearing. It was too tight, and it was suffocating me, making it impossible to breathe.

"What can I get for you?" I forced a smile and leaned towards him. My head was spinning, as I kept walking and hearing their loud voices. The night was just starting and my social battery already felt drained.

"Ladies and gentlemen!" The owner spoke again, "we are honoured to have Miss Lulu performing tonight, please give her your warm applause!" Her kind-looking smile was the only reason why this night was great.

"Oh my God, this girl is amazing!" A man next to me whispered.

Their loud claps and whistles were giving me a headache. You could never tell that they were the same people outside of this place with their posh-looking suits buying stocks and properties.

Having beautiful wives at home who probably had no idea what the actual scums were their husbands. Most of them looked like they had kids as well, as some of them just wouldn't shut up while praising them.

I sighed, 'what a drag...' These people were here to impress themselves, one by one they kept showing off their net worths and money. The power each person held and the respect that none of us care about.

'Men...' I shook my head as I changed my tray from an empty one to a full one. The table in the corner still needed to be served.

"Woosh," I inhaled more air and fixed my bodycon dress as I walked towards the dark table with a tray in my hands. It was a large table, with six chairs around it.

I approached them and bowed my head, "good evening, I'm here to provide you with my service."

My face froze for a second, covering me with a cold sweat as I heard a low laugh coming from the man sitting on the end. His voice was deep and sexy, causing my heart to beat faster and the blood to rush to my cheeks.

I felt how my dry palms were slowly turning into a fountain of water. He stood up and slowly walked towards me, my shaking hands slipped and I dropped the tray on the ground when I saw the man's face,

"Ace!"
