40 Escaping Her Wedding

Her breathing became heavy as she turned her head slowly to look at the unwanted person who was stopping her from leaving.

She sighed when she saw that it was just one of the maids, at least she would be able to shake this one off.

For a moment there, she thought it was her sister or worse father who had stopped her from leaving.

"Do you need anything, Miss?" The maid asked looking at her. Her eyes were yet to see the bag in Genevieve's hand.

"Em….nothing. I only want to take some fresh air outside…in the garden." She tried her best not to stutter or act like she was scared.

"Oh, that…but doesn't your room have a balcony? I believe you will be able to get fresh air from up there." Eve scowled at the maid.

"Are you trying to tell me what to do?" She asked trying to act mad.
