9 Night workout
That evening the Lance family went on a business dinner. Julian went out with his friends for a party. So, I was alone in the house today.
What a beautiful day.
First, I arrived at school faster than I thought. Then, I got a chance to smash Jonathan's nasal bone. Now, Dursley's gone.
Honestly, now are you trying to figure out who these Dursleys are? Man... Have you ever watched Harry Potter?
If not, never mind. At least, Mr. and Mrs. Lance didn't give me a room under the staircase. Hmm. Enough distractions. I gotta do something before I forget it again.
"Amy, open my stats window." Dude, it feels nice to talk aloud. I feel like I'm the boss of this house. No fear about someone hearing me or anything like that.
The familiar blue-green window displayed in front of my eyes.

"There are no special quests at this moment. And even there was, I don't think you can handle it now." Amy replied.
True. I nearly died completing a level one quest. I shouldn't be too greedy.
BUT, REWARDS ARE YUMMY.
I checked the other windows as well. I wanted to see what changes occurred after the special quest. But, nothing changed much. I was disheartened.
"Sigh. Dear slow brain. Do you think you can have changes in other windows, without accepting gifts?" Amy sounded defeated. I could literally imagine, she was looking at me with a Why-this-man-is-this-dumb look.
Jeez, the embarrassment. I quietly opened the GIFTS tab. Five notifications were staring back at me. I chose the 'Open All' option.
Who is going to check everything one by one? Not me. Don't underestimate my laziness.

I gave the commandment "Yes," before rushing to check other windows. There were new items as gifts. I'm so excited. So I visited the SHOP first.

Wow. This is incredible. Well, except for the common items. I mean, I can understand the importance of the hook and rope. Alright, I'll forget about the water bottles too. But, why a flag and flagpole?
"You can use the flag pole as a weapon strengthening item in the future. The metal variety of the pole will add 5 strengthening points to the weapon. And, the flag, I don't know. You can wipe sweat I guess."
Trust Amy for sarcastic replies.
"Amy, What's this water emblem. and why does it say Green?"
"Water emblems are agility enhancers. After absorbing them into your body, you get bonus agility points depending on their quality. The qualities are divided into five categories. From low to high; White, Green, Blue, Purple, Red."
"Wow. So how much bonus might it add?"
"It depends on your current level. If you are at a low level, the effect is high. At high levels, the effect is low."
Hmm, seems like I have to wait and see.
"Then, Amy, What's this secret item?"
"You can find them by completing special quests. By collecting every piece, you will get a purple or red quality weapon."
Wow. This is epic. I felt excited about future quests. So many gifts. I was impatient to have a new weapon for myself. Woo Hoo.
I checked the LEVEL screen.

HP 490/500. Probably because of the beating-ups I received today. Hmm, Skip 0/300, Push-ups 0/120, Sit-ups 0/120 and...
HUH? 4km/6km?
Ooo...It seemed like my running here and there paid me off. Wow. I should walk to school every day. It makes my life easier.
However, I have to complete the remaining tasks. Guess, I should go out for a while. Maybe, I should complete Push-ups and sit-ups here and go out. Yeah. It's a good idea. So, I leap up from the sofa and proceed to complete the exercises.
297, 298, 299, 300. Phew. I finished both my tasks. I let myself fall to the ground like a potato sack. How comforting. I laid there for nearly 20 minutes.
Then I remembered that I have two more tasks to do. I walked into my room, changed into a tracksuit, Put on my Hoodie and shoes. Yeah, I put on a hoodie. It was almost 6.30 p.m. I don't want to freeze to death if I happen to be late.
And, I can always send it to my inventory, unlike you sad people. (Stuck out tongue.*)
Then I took my skipping rope, key and sent them into the inventory. Then, I stepped out to complete the rest of my tasks.
The wind was so cold. The goosebumps raised from my body parts that weren't covered by my clothes. However, The cold wind felt refreshing to me as the hotness didn't leave my body completely, even after my brief rest before.
It took me an hour to complete the tasks. I was so happy to see all the tasks were completed. I decided to walk around a bit before going back home. I knew from experience that the Lance family won't be back until midnight. And for Julian, he won't be back today at all... Tomorrow is a holiday so, he'll probably get wasted tonight. Not my business.
Sierra was always a beautiful city but. this beauty increases by many folds at night. City lights reflected on the Sierra lake, making an illusion of a thousand colors of glitter floating on the lake surface. I sat on a bench near the lake. I summoned my hoodie from the inventory while not many people were around me. I tried to relax.
Suddenly, Amy started to act weirdly inside my head.
"Hey, Move now. Stand up and move to somewhere else quickly."
Huh, what?
"Amy, what's goi-"
"A person with high combat ability is approaching you. And, I sense that he has a knife in his hand. You should move right now. You have 2 minutes before he approaches you.
MOVE NOW."
