The entire afternoon of that day passed by with Kana doing nothing but fool around, getting into fights and wasting some money, all in bombastic fashion.

This continued up until the sun started to set.

"Asamiya, Take out your damned shoes when you enter for god's sake!!" Was the tremendous welcoming that she got when she arrived to the "Red Dot" barber shop owned by her childhood friend Yasu.

"I know I know, geez I get it man…", she responded while taking her shoes off and putting them in a box. While doing that she took a peak at who else was in the barber shop today.

There was more people there than she expected (since Yasu was not particularly good at his job in Kanas opinion): a group of about four or five students of varying ages sitting in the waiting room, all of them looking quite beat up in some way.

"What's with the brats Yasu?"

"I've told you to not call me by my name while in the shop!!"

"Oh geez I'm sorry…I meant to say "What is the matter with those dear children Mister Sakaguchi", the sarcasm in her voice was as palpable as hard rock.

"Ugh….forget it…"

She liked to tease him quite a bit and he was very much aware of it.

"Sorry man" she said in apology.

After this playful exchange of friends he proceeded to tell kana what the whole deal with the students was.

Apparently the entire group belonged to one of the many street gangs that were roaming the city as of late. All of them were beat up by members of the gang that, for about 6 months, had become the new king of the streets and destroyed many of the old gangs in the city.

They went by the name "Sasakibara", derived from the last name of their leader Rui Sasakibara. Her reputation as the new queen of the street gangs was becoming more and more prevalent.

"Geez…sound rough. Things are getting dangerous these days" Kana said while rummaging through Yasus food supplies.

"Quite so…" He ended with a sigh.

As the minutes passed each of the students left the shop, each with caution, and disappeared.

All but one of them.

A small and frail girl with short hair.

"What's her deal?"

"No idea. She seemed quite distant to the others in her group too"

"Well , we can't just let a weak little one like that go home alone at night, I'm gonna ask if she wants us to escort her" and after saying that Kana jumped up from her seat, made some stretching and went to talk to the girl.

After calming her down for a moment, the girl quickly agreed for Yasu and Kana to at least accompany her half the way to her house.

They waited for Yasu to close shop and they went on their way.

It was already dark.
