The Blame

My body feels heavy. My eyes open to a dark room, that's right. I'm in an abandoned building with Alex. "Alex!"

I sat up quickly, making myself dizzy.

I'm freezing.

"Alex where are you?" I look around in a panic. He is setting in the corner. I can see his red eyes clearly.

"Are you ok? Alex? did it work?"

Alex stood up and walked to me. His shirt was off and the stab wound was completely gone.

I touch his side. Amazed at how well he healed. His muscles are so toned.

"How are you worried about me, I almost Killed you!" Alex has tears in his eyes. I look at my body he has rapped all the bites with ripped up cloth that's what happened to his shirt.

I pull myself to my feet and hug him. He rapped my necklace around my waist. He knows how it works.

"You saved me from a very painful drug out death. You wonted me to do nothing, you told me what could happen." I'm not letting go of him. "I asked you to, begged you to, I wouldn't take no for an answer. I'm sorry I didn't respect your wishes. I couldn't watch you suffer. instead I made you watch me suffer. ... Please forgive me."

I held him tightly. I hear his heart, his breathing.

"oh and sorry about the kiss." I added.

he chuckled only for a second, and held me.

"well I'm not 100% sorry about the kiss." I added smiling.

He kissed the top of my head, " you are a foolish girl"

"maybe but your still here and so am I."

"your freezing" he changed the topic.

"Aren't you?" I say I'm not really that cold.

"I don't feel hot or cold."

"then how did you know I was cold?"

he smiled "your body told me"

I turn and quickly put my shirt and the hoodie he gave me on.

"so you don't really know anything about me, after today I think that needs to change."

he sat down and I sat in his lap resting my head on him.

"tell me all about you, Alex? "

I placed my hand on his chest.

"I am 17 I won't stop aging untill I'm 30"

"during the day I'm almost human. I'm weaker. The more direct sunlight the more human I am. I can maintain my human body with human food, but my power is from the moon and blood. Humans can turn in to vampires but they will stop aging right then. They will become crazy and uncomfortable if they don't regularly drink the blood of the one that changed them. only vampires born can turn people. Vampires can bleed, hurt and die. but most of the time our bodies are numb."

"Can you feel this?" I rubbed up to his neck.

"a little."

"Can you feel this?" I kiss his neck,

"your not still drunk on my bite are you?"

"no I am a little weak still, and really hungry. I just wanted to know if you felt everything while I was intoxicated by you." I just had a lapse of reason and gave in to pleasure.

he smiled a wonderful smile, taking a deep breath, "I don't have full control when I'm dieing, but I can feel everything when I'm feeding. I feel alive. I felt every kiss, and nibble, every part of my body that you touched."

"good" I smiled

"do you remember everything? most people don't realize what they are doing, or remember what they have done."

" I remember everything up to pulling your hair when I asked you to stop. the long kiss fallowing. the intoxicating bite made it easier to react but I was in control of my actions."

"you really are crazy" I feel his heart beating faster.

"why did you put my necklace on my wrist? did you not want me to read your mind."

"no I didn't, I still don't right now, can you leave it on please."

"of course you have the right to your own thoughts. Just don't lie to me." I'm getting really sleepy again. I close my eyes.

"How did those creeps get you alone away for town?"

"you both dissapered on me while I was in the store, I looked all over and came back, the one that stabbed you, he said he saw you and Aaron fighting. I saw some blood on the ground, he said that one of you was hurt and he saw which was you went. ...By the time I took off my necklace it.. was to late... I wanted to help...."

"Are you okay?"

"I'm tired weak and hungry."

"there is a restaurant in town let's go eat."

"I don't have my bag. or my money."

"well you got us in here can you get us out?"

"I don't know how I did it."

"that's ok, thanks to your persistence I'm more powerful now then I've ever been. I'll get us out." . He put his hoodie on dried blood all over it, and picked me up like a baby. Holding me against his chest, I felt safe in his arms. He kicked the window out wood boards and all.

Then he jumped out the window and landed on the ground like if he stepped down a stair. for a second I thought I saw someone on the roof top but when I blinked the dark figure was gone. He placed me on the ground there was still a lot of blood.

"they took off fast, by the time I gained control again they were gone. I don't know if they had time to rob you."

I gather my bags from shopping. under one was my purse, my money was still there. So was everything I bought. There was also a long black father I stuck in the bag.

I had got a large shirt for sleeping at one of the stores.

"here Alex put this on." I gave him the large shirt. I grabbed some baggie yoga pants and put them on over my ripped tights.

then I put my dirty skirt and his bloody hoodie in a bag. Good thing I did so much shopping.

"ok let's go eat." I smiled the thought of food keeping me going it's not late I'm just weak.

I took Alex's hand I'm not losing him again. I don't want to be alone out here.
