The Healer's Hero
What does it truly mean to be a hero? Is it to be the one who protects the weak, who fights for good without considering personal consequences, who annihilates evil and ensures that good triumphs? Well, for me, the definition of a hero is with in a single name: Cassius Anwir Valerius. He is my hero and the hero of everyone in the kingdom of Mendacium. He is the reason I have strived so hard to one day be able to fight by his side.
Although I may not be extraordinarily strong, I will finally have the opportunity to contribute and participate in battles by his side. This has always been my wish since the day he saved me from the brutality of bullies in the orphanage and took me under his wing. Since that day, my life's goal has been to always be by Cassius's side and help him with everything I have. To me he represents the closest embodiment of perfection that a human being could ever achieve – kind, strong, skilled, powerful, and, above all, with an unwavering sense of justice. He is loved by all, and everyone aspires to be like him.
My name is Oliver, and I am the hero's healer, and this is the story of how, in the end, evil is defeated... no matter the cost.
