The Web Snaps

Sky knew at that moment that what she needed most however, wasn't for him to placate her and tell her everything was alright. Skadi's self-confidence in herself and her belief that she would never hurt her Sky was greatly shaken and the only remedy to that would be time. Struggling to not interfere, she watched as Skadi's eyes leaked tears, before he started feeling drowsy, passing into the world of dreams once more. There, he seemed to have seen something… or someone vaguely…

With fiery red hair, glowing orange eyes, and outfitted in a tight tank top that truly emphasized her massive assets and a pair of baggy camouflage pants, fastened by a belt that contained all sorts of weapons and knives, she truly looked… wild.

Slashing and stabbing her way through multiple shadow figures, bathed in their blood, Sky watched horrified, as she downed the men one after the other with surgical precision. Then, it was as if he was noticed.

Her eyes widened maniacally and her lips cracked into an unnerving smile before she cackled, her shoulders heaving up and down, causing her assets to do the same, but it was no time to admire the view. Sky scrambled backwards, only to bump into… a wall? Turning around, he saw her again. Staring at him. Then, she spoke, one hand resting on her smooth cheek, the other squeezing Sky's face, forcing him to look at her and her disturbingly glowing orange eyes. "We'll meet again soon… Darling~."

Gasping, Sky woke up, his body covered in sweat. 'Why… Why did she sound so similar… to Mia? It couldn't be! She… She's gone…' Turning his head, he saw Skadi sleeping right next to him, tears staining her beautiful face.

Smiling, he forgot all about his ominous dream, and with some effort, carefully tucked her disheveled hair behind her ear. Skadi smiled slightly and she inched closer, seemingly feeling Sky's love for her even in the world of dreams.

The door suddenly burst open, startling Sky and interrupting the peaceful moment that was just occurring. "Ara~. It seems I've interrupted something… How careless of me…~ Should I… come back later?" Ahrana appeared, peeking her head in the doorway, seemingly ashamed that she interrupted the serene moment.

Sky looked up, before giving her a weak smile. "No no, it's ok. Come in!" He gestured her over with one hand. "Just… Can you be as quiet as possible? Skadi's still sleeping and I don't really want to disturb her." Sky caressed Skadi's blue-ish white hair, smiling happily.

'Tch. Honey should only look at me like that! Not that… not that harlot!' Ahrana growled inwardly, yet externally, she only nodded smilingly. Now that he took a second glance, Ahrana was dressed quite smartly; her hair was tied up into a bun, a pair of square-ish glasses emphasizing her glittering black eyes.

A white collared long-sleeve shirt buttoned up half way, with a pair of… melons protruding outwards, with a pair of smooth, black stockings tightly clinging to her legs and plump thighs that ended with shiny black high heels, clacking on the tiled floor. The epitome of a smart, educated beauty.

With Ahrana going to Sky's side, she pulled out a stack of textbooks. "Let's see… Why don't we start with math~?" She asked, to which Sky gave a nod of affirmation. Sky truly appreciated Ahrana's efforts in teaching him. She had a way of concisely and easily explaining difficult concepts, on top of making studying somewhat entertaining.

"So do you understand this concept?" Ahrana asked, pushing up her glasses slightly.

"Yes."

"What about this one?" She continued asking, pointing to another set of questions.

"Yup."

"And this one?" She inquired again, flipping the page.

"Uh huh."

"How about this one?" Ahrana pulled out a completely different book, pointing to it.

"Yeah." Sky repeated, honestly just going on autopilot.

"Ara~? I thought you already had a girlfriend~. You womanizer~!" Ahrana's eyes widened in mock surprise, one hand over her mouth. "How scandalous~!"

Sky, confused, took one look at the book, only to see a line of text from a book that he was reading in Language Arts. "Will you be my boyfriend?" He flushed. "I-I didn't mean that! I just zoned out! That's all!" He tried to defend himself.

"Y-you didn't? H-how could you… play with a woman's heart like this?!" Ahrana sobbed, tears welling up in her eyes.

"S-sorry! I really didn't mean to do that!" Sky panicked, seeing his friend and classmate on the verge of crying, waving his uninjured hand frantically, reaching out to her as if to comfort her.

"Got you~! You fall for it every time~." Ahrana said, the tears seemingly just disappearing, replaced with a teasing glint in her eyes, a playful smirk adorning her face.

Sky's face contorted into a pout. "I should've known! You always do this to me!" His eyebrows furrowed slightly. "You know what? I won't talk to you for the next week! Including in-game!"

Ahrana's eyes widened, as she quickly ran over to Sky's side, hugging him. "Noooo~! Won't you forgive me?" She said, teary-eyed as she looked up at him.

Sky suffered critical damage from Ahrana's actions and thus, could only nod his head slightly. "So~. We still playing that new game tonight~? I'll make sure to tend to your… every need~!" Ahrana said, breathing hot air into Sky's ear.

"Uhhh… Actually… I got a date with Skadi tonight. Maybe another time?" Sky replied apologetically.

Ahrana's eyes turned hollow, slightly startling Sky. That was the look that his Skadi would sometimes have. "You know Sky?" Ahrana muttered quietly, seemingly staring off into space, her ever present teasing tone nowhere to be found.

"W-what?" Sky replied, his body subconsciously growing tense, reminded of the times when Skadi had the same look.

"I tried to be patient… I really did. But now? This is the final straw. I was the one who knew you longest. I was the one who was your friend the longest. I am the one who loves YOU most!" Ahrana stared at Sky yet it seemed as if she wasn't really staring at Sky, but looking through him.

Suddenly, two extra pairs of glowing red eyes appeared above her normal pair of beautiful black ones, then, her legs disappeared, giving way to a massive spider's abdomen with eight legs. Sky's eyes widened. She… She… was a spider!?

"I have no choice. Honey has left me no choice. Those harlots have left me no choice. I didn't want it to come to this! I'LL HAVE TO TAKE YOU TO SOME PLACE WHERE THEY CAN'T TAKE YOU FROM ME!" Her 6 eyes glowed with a manic light, as she quickly shot silk at Sky, pulling him out of the bed and into her arms, where he was quickly bundled into a cocoon, leaving only his face visible.

She caressed his face with her hands tenderly, almost cooing into his ear. "Don't worry honey~. We'll be together soon. Just you and me~, like it was before~."
