Monarch's Transformation
Yet one day, with Skadi lying down, her head on Sky's lap, while enjoying Sky's warm caresses to her increasing blue hair, she suddenly looked up at him. Slightly startled, Sky gazed at her inquisitively.
"What's wrong?" He asked.
"Sky… I think… I think it's time you know the truth."
"Hm?" Sky said, tilting his head slightly.
"The… the truth is… I don't really have a condition that makes me appalled by men or that made me drift apart from you… Well… it… it can't be called a condition exactly."
Sky at this point was extremely confused. What was she talking about?! A condition that is not really a condition? Huh?!
"I think it would be best… if I were to just show you…" Skadi said, standing up. Sky's eyes widened, taking in the sight before him. A cascade of beautiful snow fell upon Skadi from out of nowhere. 'Last time I checked the roof didn't have a gaping hole in it and the weather was sunny…' Sky frowned. Climate change really did crazy things… Getting up himself to check if Skadi was alright, the snow finally cleared, revealing… Skadi?
Sky's outstretched arm immediately retracted at the sight. A mature woman stood before him, a crown of pure ice adorning her pale blue hair that fell all the way to the ground, pooling at her feet. Her regal eyes that seemed to hold contempt for the world around her, with shining silver irises, glinting with majesty and pride. With a dress encrusted with crystal-clear gems that refracted rainbow light, light blue skin, and a pair of buxom breasts, not to mention her curvy behind, Sky stood there, mesmerized.
"Has this queen shocked you so much by her beauty that your thoughts froze~?" She spoke, her luscious lips moving, her eyes glinting teasingly, snapping Sky out of his trance. He pointed his finger at her, yelling "What did you do to Skadi?! Who are you?!" He would be damned if he let Skadi get kidnapped again, even if it was by arguably the most beautiful woman he had ever seen.
"It truly seems that your brain has frozen, not even recognizing your girlfriend anymore~." Skadi teased.
"Is that… Is that actually you? What… are you?" Sky said, stuttering from the shock.
"I'm Skadi Everwinter, your childhood friend turned girlfriend, and a yuki onna, probably the Queen of them too…" Skadi said, bowing slightly in a teasing manner, "At your service, Sky~." She smiled amusedly, clearly enjoying Sky's flabbergasted expression, his jaw dropping to the floor.
Hesitatingly, Sky said "Then tell me something that only Skadi would know."
"Of course~. Well, there's that time when you accidentally peed the bed when we were 5, and then there was the time when you accide-" Skadi started, listing things off while making a thinking pose, before she was interrupted, her mouth covered by Sky's hand.
"Ok, Ok! I get it, I get it! You're Skadi! No need for more 'proof'!" Sky interjected, his face flushed red.
Skadi stopped, much to Sky's relief. He felt as if he was going to die of embarrassment! As they started the walk to school, Skadi suddenly spoke.
"You know, I used to be so scared, all by myself. An innocent, poor, helpless maiden who couldn't protect themself~."
"But it's okay now~! After all, I have you to protect me~, isn't that right?" Skadi continued reminiscing about everything that happened.
Sky sweatdropped "You're a yuki onna, I'm just a human. Can't you just… I dunno… protect yourself?"
Skadi pouted "Hmph! This is why you have no friends! It's because you're so insensitive!"
"Well, at least I have the world's most beautiful girl as my girlfriend, isn't that right snowflake~" Sky replied, holding her hand as they departed for school.
"You sweet talker!" Skadi blushed, turning away quickly.
Eventually they reached school, where they were met with Alana at the classroom door.
"Sky, Skadi, this is utterly unacceptable! Not only have you guys showed up late multiple times, but you two have also turned in your homework on time for the past week! I have been given permission by the school to tutor you guys one-on-one.
See you at the library at 4pm. Every day, no excuses." Alana said sternly. Even she didn't understand why she felt so uncomfortable with the notion of Sky and Skadi walking hand in hand to school like boyfriend and girlfriend.
It wasn't like they were the only couple in school and it was not even as if she could siphon Sky's mana anyway! Skadi's eyes dulled immediately. 'She wants to… separate me and Sky? This… bitch… wants to go back on our deal?'
She muttered quietly, emitting a frosty aura, to the point that the ground was starting to freeze over with a thin layer of ice, to which Sky immediately started patting her head, pulling her into a hug, causing her to snap out of her dangerous thoughts and to blush heavily. 'This queen isn't a child!' She wanted to tell him, yet she couldn't. Skadi felt as if she was going to melt in his embrace…
"Skadi, it's okay… I won't leave you for someone else I promise. Don't you have at least that much faith in me?" Sky whispered into her ear, to which Skadi nodded meekly. But before Skadi could retort, someone else spoke.
"Ara~, Class Rep, don't you think you're being too harsh on Sky~? He's merely been pulled along by Skadi this entire time~. He's completely innocent and our class can vouch for that right~?" Ahrana stood up, ending with a wink that immediately garnered the support of most if not all of the male students.
"How about this~, you can tutor Skadi 1 on 1, while I… I… go teach Sky many new things… in private…" Ahrana said, licking her lips slightly, approaching Sky and Skadi, earning her a bone-chilling glare from the latter.
The boys in the classroom glared at Sky. He already has Skadi and now he's going to take the beautiful onee-san?! Not a chance!
"He's good." Skadi cut her off, not even allowing Sky a chance to speak. "As his girlfriend, I've decided that me and him both will get tutored together by the class rep. I appreciate the thought though." She continued with a smile that really wasn't a smile at all.
