Man Hunt

As Blake got to the underground base of the Fire Gang, all the members of his team had already gotten there.

And of course, Sanjay was also there.

"What's going on?" asked Blake to a random Soul Warrior.

"I don't know, they just said that we should all meet here" said the Soul Warrior.

They waited for some time before Damian and his crew showed up.

"Purple Raven team, we're sorry to have interrupted your supposed three day break but we have a mission from you all" said Damian.

"One of our members by the name of 'Malcolm Espinoza' has gone missing" said Damian.

Some of the Soul Warriors had a raised eyebrow.

"He was sent on a mission last night and had not returned till now.

Whether he has been found out by the law enforcement agencies is not known but your mission is to find him and bring him back" .

For some reason, Damian was staring at Blake when he said the first part and Blake was having a pretty good idea who this Malcolm was.

'Looks like our first mission is a man hunt' said Blake to himself.

Thwack!

Damian snapped his fingers and soon, some men came out with trays in hand and in those trays were what looked like watches.

"These watches will provide you with all the information needed about Malcolm and it's the closest we've been to establishing calls as you can also use them to contact your teammates but it only works if your teammates are within a twenty meter radius from you" said Xander.

All the Soul Warriors then put on the watches and all the info on Malcolm like his favourite joint, his best park and stuff like that appeared on the watches. They were scattered all over the city but most importantly, the area of where he was sent to last night and when Blake noticed that it was around his area, he was starting to believe his theory but would need to prove it.

"A leader would need to be selected for this mission but whoever you select will be the permanent leader" said Xander.

"Remember to be discreet about this mission and try to stay as hidden as possible" said Damian and dismissed everyone.

10 minutes later.

All the Soul Warriors were about start the mission when one of them asked a question.

"So who's going to be the leader" asked a random Soul Warrior.

"What of miss Scarlett?" suggested a male Soul Warrior.

"What of that guy" suggested another Soul Warrior who was referring to Blake.

Some minutes later, the Soul Warriors were still arguing over who should be the leader between Blake and Scarlett.

"Everyone shut up" said Blake and immediately everyone was quiet.

"Don't you think your noise will attract unwanted attention" said Blake and everyone began. to think about that fact.

"I don't even want to be team leader so you guys can give it to her" said Blake pointing towards Scarlett.

After admitting that he didn't want to be team leader, everyone accepted Scarlett as leader.

"So what now, leader" asked a Soul Warrior towards Scarlett who was staring at her watch the whole time.

Scarlett then assigned groups of ten to go each place that was marked.

"You're in my team" said Scarlett towards Blake.

"No" Blake immediately rejected Scarlett's order.

"You may control the team but you don't control me" said Blake.

"Since you're on my team, I do control you" said Scarlett.

"Then try to stop me" said Blake as he then jumped high into the sky.

Scarlett opened her palm and three feathers appeared in front of her.

Blake saw the incoming feathers and managed to dodge the first one but the remaining two made a cut in his right ankle.

Thud!

A thud was made as Blake dropped back on the ground with his two feet.

"What the heck?" asked Blake upset.

"You said I should try and stop you" said Scarlett.

"Stop trying to control me, woman" said Blake as he really hated when people tried to control him and what he does.

"I don't care what you do, I just want what is best for the team" said Scarlett with the same indifferent look she had been wearing all this while.

Blake was about to respond but he felt something different in Scarlett's voice in the way she said the last part. Eventually, Blake left them alone and went on his way.

Sanjay wanted to seize this opportunity to try and comfort Scarlett but when he got close enough, three feathers appeared and were pointed directly at his head so he had no choice but to back away.

"Was that really called for?" asked Fury in a concerned voice.

"I hate when someone tries to control me because only dad has the right to do that and just thinking about him makes me sad" said Blake and Fury could feel the sadness in his voice.

"Besides, I don't want someone invading my privacy" added Blake.

"You'll see" said Blake and continued moving towards one of the places on the watch. Specifically, his area.

After walking around for a while, Blake didn't find anything.

"That was close" said Blake in relief.

"What are you looking for?" asked Fury.

"I just thought that Malcolm was dead and you killed him, so that was the reason why he hadn't returned" revealed Blake.

"Do you really think of me like that?" asked Fury.

"I'm sorry. Let's just go catch up with the others" said Blake.

While on their way back, Blake caught sight of something and went to check it out.

"Fury, are you sure you didn't kill him?" asked Blake again.

"I swear that I didn't do that" said Fury.

In front of them was the severed body of Malcolm.
