3 Days Later

3 days later.

Blake was sitting down on his bed staring at the window with a smile on his face.

It had been three days since Blake experienced his first ever life and death match against the level thirty Super Acid Rat in the mutant forest.

After Blake killed the beast, he laid down there completely exhausted and didn't move for five hours. During those five hours, Fury protected Blake as it was obvious he couldn't protect himself.

Fury kept praising Blake as what Blake did was a feat probably no one in the universe had achieved at Blake's stage which included him and Blake was feeling proud of himself.

After killing the beast, the system let him know that he had levelled up five times which boosted him straight to level fifteen. He also got a skill scroll from the beast which he inspected.

[Body Takeover (Active) (Level 4):You can control the body of a single person and control them to do whatever you want. The target will still be in control of their mind but you will be in complete control of their body. This can only work on beings at least one stage below you. Can only work on humans. Cost: 100 mana points. Time limit: 30 minutes. Cooldown: 2 hours. You have to become atleast Commander 1 to use this skill]

This was probably the skill the beast used to control the other rats. It should probably be able to only work on those of the same race as the user. Although the requirement stated that he had to first become Commander 1 to use this skill, Blake still learnt it nonetheless.

He also received another notification.

[You have completed the requirement to upgrade Passive skill Reptile Scales to the next level]

That was when Blake remembered that the skill that actually saved him the most was undoubtedly the Reptile Scales skill. If Blake didn't have this skill, when the tail of the rat hit him the first time, forget about a few broken bones, he would have been cut in half.

Blake asked Fury how to find out the requirement of a skill and Fury told him to think of the skill and the information would flow right into his head which Blake did.

Kill 15 enemies. 15/15 killed]

"Yes" said Blake.

Blake realised that he had also completed the requirement for it to level up again.

As of now, all of Blake's stats had crossed off into the three digit stage.

When Blake looked at the description, it was still the same except the fact that it now granted more defence.

The duo chatted amongst themselves in the cave until Blake's wounds had healed.

Blake and Fury decided to sleep there for the night, they started a fire and found some water

Blake and Fury hunted some beast's and Fury persuaded Blake to try beast meat which Blake reluctantly agreed to.

After washing it and making all the necessary preparations, Blake decided to roast and eat it.

It turns out that beast meat was actually delicious, even more delicious than normal beast meat.

The next day, they continued hunting and cleared some more paths of the forest bit they knew that it would take a long time before they could completely clear the forest.

While hunting on the first day, Blake noticed that although they had killed a lot of monsters, he hadn't levelled up once.

Fury explained that all these beasts were too low for him and that he needed stronger beast's to level but no way was Blake going to risk his life just to level up so they stopped for the day.

Blake and Fury returned to Lexville and broke into an abandoned military warehouse and found a bed, some couches and other things you might need in a home and started living there.

The next day, he and Fury went back into the forest to hunt and finally he levelled up but just once and also gained a treasure. An accessory. A ring.

[Repel Ring (epic grade treasure): Once activated, it can stop all attacks made by the non-elemental attacks made by the enemy and send them back to the attacker. After use, you will have to wait 12 hours before you can use it again]

Blake put the ring on of the fingers of his right hand and continued hunting.

When nightfall came, Blake and Fury returned to their new home and fell asleep.

And today, Blake was going to skip hunting and take a walk around the city.
