1 Chapter 1: Creation

In a small section of the universe, there was darkness. The nothingness created the expression of an infinite expanse, yet the concept of space was nonexistent there. Not a thing was happening for what seemed an endless passage of time, however, this concept did not exist either. Suddenly, there was a disruption. Something formed in this nothingness: a small particle of light.

As this particle materialized into existence, space and time followed. Ever so slowly, this particle began to expand. As the light's reach grew, atoms began to form and eventually, stars began to form as well. Soon, a consciousness formed in the place where the first particle appeared. In that moment, the same emptiness that the light was expanding in, tried to reclaim the space. However temporary the time the transformation took, this spot siphoned some of the consciousness formed by the particle of light. So, when the consciousness formed, it birthed another. One was formed by the light. The other, formed by the darkness.

There was no time for the two newly formed beings to interact before the darkness was shunted outside the space of light. The being born of darkness began to absorb the essence of the void devoid of light around it to grow. The original of light started to assimilate with the space of light which it had been created from and slowly connected to everything that now was in this space. With the newly born consciousness of the void, the spread of the light began to halt, as the darkness refused to be overtaken even if it seemed to be infinite. During this battle, the rest of the universe was unaware of what transpired at its edge.

After an unknown amount of time, planets formed around a new star near the center of the light. This planet began to host life with the being of light as its overseer. The creatures of this peaceful world began to call their overseer the Goddess of Creation: Demis, and this world of theirs: Demura. However, the darkness slowly seeped through the light, and began to corrupt this newborn world. This corruption created death, mutations, and negative emotions among the creatures. Demura quickly became home to various fantastical types of beasts and races. The original creatures dubbed this corrupted influence Kantos, God of Destruction.

Eons later, civilizations formed, wars occurred, and the many intelligent races began to create stable lives. On the few continents, cities were formed and countries were founded. Various guilds were created by the Demi, the original races made by Demis, as the original inhabitants dubbed themselves, to protect their cities and eliminate the threat of beasts and the long estranged Kanti, the races created by the corruption of Kantos. The Kanti created similar countries and dominated an entire continent. These races both despised the beasts as they were unintelligent creatures who only knew how to kill.

Somewhere in an unknown cave on Demura, a particle of light formed once again after eons. However, when the particle of darkness formed with the particle of light, it was not shunted to the void. Instead, it began to combine with the particle of light creating a small grey egg about 10 centimeters in diameter. A few years passed as the egg passively began to absorb the life of the moss and small insects that happened to come in contact with it. A short time after the egg reached an average length of a meter, it began to hatch.

A small bronze colored hand broke through the shell, and slowly following it a small childlike body emerged. The figure had a bronze humanoid body with slightly pointed ears and a mess of curly black hair on top of its head. In between the creature's legs was a confirmation of its gender: male. In front of his golden colored eyes, there was the reflection of a misty bluish colored box with some form of writing on it. The small bronze skinned boy looked curiously at the misty box and another smaller box appeared in front of the other box.

This boy was surprised. He could suddenly understand what the wisp like box had written on its surface. After staring curiously at the smaller box for a period of time, he reached out with one of his hands and tried to grab the small box that had just appeared, and it vanished in a puff of smoke! Curiously, he looked at the first box that had appeared when he first opened his eyes and tried to read and understand the content.

The boy wasn't quite sure what all of this new information meant, but shortly after reading it all, he swept his hand through the blue misty box. Like before, this box slowly dispersed in smoke as well. Looking around and finding only solid stone, the boy began to turn and move in a random direction. After wandering for a short amount of time, light finally penetrated the darkness of the stone filled cavern and the young boy stepped out into a luscious and light filled forest.

This new surround brought a multitude of new and fresh smells to this newborn creature. The breeze ruffled the hair of the bronze skinned child and a strange crumbling sound reached his ears. He turned his golden eyes toward his feet and discovered a purple colored stone that was slowly breaking apart. The boy just watched the process until a slender purple colored creature about 20 centimeters in length emerged. It looked up at the boy with golden colored eyes with slit pupils and its pink colored forked tongue flicked in and out of its mouth.
