A dungeon core was considered a good material to create the orbs on the top of the sceptre as they possessed a high affinity to mana. Even the weakest dungeon had a dungeon core which was useful for making sceptres. Such weapons were a dream for most magicians.

Of course, Aurus wouldn't sell the dungeon core as he needed it back in the other world in order to create the dungeon.

Shaking his head at his question, Goran smiled bitterly and continued to give the rewards to Aurus.

"Hand me over your adventurer ID, I will immediately change it to C rank. I will bring your reward at the same time." Handing his ID, Aurus sat down on the chair next to him and waited for a few minutes until Goran came back with his adventurer ID.

Collecting the ID and the 500 gold coins from Goran, he brought Goran with him to the monster corpse collecting outlet. He hadn't handed over the corpses of the monsters previously as the adventurer's guild would most likely have counted them as tasks completed in the D rank. However, now that he was already C rank, he would have completed the tasks in the C rank which would bring him closer to the B rank.

When they arrived, Aurus explained that he had monsters to hand over for the tasks and Goran immediately understood his reasoning. With a slight smile, he asked: "So, how many monster corpses do you bring?"

Aurus with an embarrassed smile answered: "I actually don't know how many corpses I have, I only know that I have killed every monster in the dungeon and collected all of their corpses."

With a slight smile, he made the monster's corpses appear until it reached the limit and then he stopped. As Goran saw this, he said: "Luckily, there weren't any more corpses as there isn't enough room." Saying this, he laughed and when he made the gesture to start counting, Aurus interrupted him with a slight cough.

"Eum, this is only a small part of the corpses I brought back. I have at least ten times more. As I was saying, I killed every monster in the dungeon before coming back."

Goran, hearing those words, showed a bitter smile and went to gather more staff to help him count. If it was only a small number of corpses, he would do it himself. However, if there were a large number of dead creatures, he would have to spend too much time and getting help would be for the best.

As Goran and the others counted the bodies, Aurus waited on the side and looked at his completed task. Previously, he had received the task to rank up to C rank. The reward for this task was to increase the system space to bring back resources.

Seeing the system space, he grinned a little bit and he looked at the new task of ranking up to B rank which was exactly the same as the other rank up tasks.

Unbeknownst to him, as he was looking at the icon and was grinning, Goran turned around and saw him. Suddenly, Goran asked himself if Aurus had a mental problem. With such a thought, he went back to counting and threw this thought to the back of his head.

Over half an hour later, they finally finished counting all of the monster corpses and Aurus was pleasantly surprised by the result.

"There are the corpses of 347 goblins, 80 hobgoblins, 56 ogres and 54 ghouls. According to the tasks released by the guild, you have completed a total of 23 tasks for the goblin slaughter, eight tasks for the hobgoblin's subjugation, and five tasks for both the ogres and the ghouls for a total of 41 tasks. The goblins subjugation tasks can't be used to increase the task completion towards the B rank. As such, you have completed 18 rank C quests. With 32 more and you will have the right to ask for a combat promotion test. Moreover, completing all of these tasks gives you a total of 223 gold coins. If you leave us the bodies, we will give you 120 more gold coins. Normally, the reward of these tasks is not so high but because the monsters came out of the dungeon, the prices were increased. All in all, you made a great profit."

Goran smiled as he finished talking and Aurus nodded to approve to leave the monster's bodies.

"There is one last thing." As he said this, Aurus had a serious expression as he went in a separate room with Goran and carefully brought out the bodies of the three female adventurers he had met in the dungeon.

Upon bringing out the corpses, Aurus didn't say anything else and showing regret in his eyes, Goran understood that he was sad about not being able to bring them back alive. Of course, Aurus was sad at not being able to bring them back alive but he would certainly not tell him that he had killed the three girls at their request.

Having difficulty looking at them as he felt rage build up in him once again because of what the monsters did, he turned around and left the bodies to Goran. He knew the guild would take care of the corpses.

Having done everything that he needed to do, Aurus went to the second floor of the adventurer's guild.

Now that he was a rich man, he was planning on buying a few sword skills, magic skills and movement skills. After all, he had noticed that he didn't have enough diversity which stopped him from completely using his potential.

There were a few more adventurers on the second floor but Aurus didn't bother much about them. He had his own business to attend to and had to complete the employee system task.

Walking to the skills, he began to browse them. There were easily a thousand skills on the shelves of the second floor. Unfortunately, there were a lot of skills which were the same.

For over half an hour, he browsed the shelves and used his identification skill to gather more information. In the end, he decided to buy a total of seven different skills.

[Basic fire affinity: (Passive). F rank. This skill allows the user to have a greater affinity to the fire element. It allows the user of the skill to gather, condense and use the fire element in the air in an easier way.]

[Basic earth affinity: (Passive). F rank. This skill allows the user to have a greater affinity to the earth element. It allows the user of the skill to gather, condense and use the earth element in the air in an easier way.]

At the same time as he got those two elements, he also got the air and water element which had the same effect as the previous two basic affinities. While normally, it wouldn't be able to do much alone, Aurus was ready to train those four skills along with the mana manipulation skill which would allow him to be proficient with the elements. With a little bit of luck, he would be able to easily use the four elements without buying the magic skill itself.

After buying those four passive skills, he bought a movement skill named Wind ghost step.

[Wind ghost step: (Active). F rank. This skill allows the user to move like a ghost and to create an illusion of the user for a short amount of time.]

Obviously, this skill was pretty useful in tight fights as the illusion would help him surprise his opponent. Not only that, but the skill would also allow him to make no noise when walking as he used the skill and would speed up his speed.

As for the last two skills, he learned a sword skill named Phantom-cross slash. This sword move was an active skill and when he used it, he would create a second slash from the opposite direction. For example, if he slashed from the right shoulder to the left of the opponent's waist, a phantom slash would start from the left shoulder to the right of the opponent's waist.

This skill was quite pricey since it was a great skill to use once again in tough fights. However, there was a great demand for stamina. Aurus estimated that he could only use it up to five times before being completely exhausted.

Finally, the last skill he bought was telekinesis. He had already started learning this skill using mana manipulation. However, with the skill, it would be a lot easier.

Finally, all of those seven skills cost him up to 76 gold coins. With a total of 767 gold coins, he felt like a nouveau riche. However, he knew that it was only temporary as he had to buy the 'slaves' and buy more resources to furnish his shop.

The shop had quite a number of resources. But in reality, he only had about a dozen of each element in resources. Knowing there were around a hundred spaces for each resource in the shop, he knew he should get more resources.

Once he bought the skills from the old man, he left the adventurer's guild and left to the slave shop. Indeed, in this world, slave shops existed. Actually, Aurus didn't necessarily need to buy slaves to work for him. However, he knew that while a lot of slaves were 'broken' and didn't want to continue living, some also hoped to change their future. There were slaves who were captured and sold to slave merchants against their wills. Others simply were born into slavery and others who only had received bad luck and ended up a slave.

As for the slaves he wanted to have, he would offer them a choice to follow him and sign the contract willingly. If they weren't willing he wouldn't buy them and he would also obviously offer them a proper welfare when they became his employees. After all, he was still a man from Earth. Slavery was a thing of the past and he rejected the idea of slaves.

So, while he would buy slaves, he wouldn't treat them as slaves but as employees which he found acceptable. The reason he didn't just take some random passersby? It was because it would be less bothersome and complicated.
