Episode 8 The Hourglass and the Man of Sandals

Korrow dropped an empty bag in front of the crew. "You guys live under my house and under my rules, and under my rules, I say you have to do some labor, help pitch in." Korrow said. Korrow pulled out a map and handed it to Charlie. "You all are in charge to find spare electronics, valuables, and the fun part the all-healing ruby and the cursed sapphire stone." Korrow said. "Those don't sound real." Charlie responded. "What spare electronics, I know they are hard to come by." Korrow responded. "No the cursed ruby and the all-healing sapphire." Charlie said. "The all-healing ruby and the cursed sapphire, and that's the point we need to see if they are real or not." Korrow said. "And why can't you do it?" Killer asked. "Someone has to plan." Korrow responded. "Oh, also before you go, I gave y'all a surprise." Korrow said. Charlie just looked at Korrow. "Alright let's go gang." Charlie said. "Who made you leader, some would say I'm leader." Killer responded. "Well let's let Korrow decide." Charlie said, then turned towards Korrow. "Well, I'm leader." Korrow said with a smirk. "Well, go on shoo, bye, have fun." Korrow said. Luna, Charlie, and the gang walked out the door. "Have a safe trip." Wa Wa said happily. "So thwis is da way?" Monstrid asked on Luna's shoulder. "Yes, Monstrid." Luna responded. "She's new." Luna said, she looked over to see Maria watering flowers and Luke sitting on a chair just looking. "I have a bad feeling about all this." Charlie said. "You have a bad feeling about everything." Killer said. The crew then got into a forest. "Watch your heads." Charlie said for safety. "Keep your eyes peeled guys." Killer said. "Satan's demons can be anywhere." Killer said. Nile was holding onto Crescent, she tapped on his shoulders. "Hm?" Crescent responded. Nile saw a red wolf clawing at a tree, sniffing, then clawing at the ground then sniffing once more. Crescent whispered at Luna. "Psst Luna." Crescent motioned his head towards the demon wolf. Killer grabbed his pistol, it had a note on it.He closed one eye and aimed at the demon dog, he blasted at the dog but the blast was more than he expected and hit the ground in front of the demon dog. The demon dog growled in response. Luna quickly panicked an shot again and hit the tree, there was a metal ting. "What the fuck-" Charlie yelled. Luna shot again and hit the dog, sitting it back a little bit. The dog growled and ran away. "Ok, we have to go after-" Charlie said before getting interrupted. "Ok, we have to go after the demon dog." Luna said. "Exactly." Charlie said. "Right." Crescent agreed. "But, that's what I said." Charlie said. "Stay here Nile, you too Monstrid." Crescent insisted. Crescent and the crew then ran after the demon dog. Nile got up and started to walk. "Hew where are you gowing?" Monstrid asked. Nile pointed at the now dented tree. "Huh?" Monstrid questioned. Nile walked over to it. Nile knocked on the tree, again it had a metal ting. "Huh, a metal tree?" Monstrid questioned. Nile started to try to rip off the metal bark. "Open it." Nile asked. Monstrid then ripped off the metal bark. Inside the tree was a switch, she pulled the switch. "So are we not gonna question that Korrow sent Monstrid and Nile with us?" Charlie questioned. "Well the mission was exploration mission, Charlie." Luna responded. Luna put her hand behind the crew. "What?" Charlie asked. "Over there." Pheno responded. The demon dog was clawing at trees and the ground as well and sniffing the ground, searching. As the crew was looking further the demon dog had demon horns curling up and the fur wasn't all one color. "I got this." Phoeno said. Phoeno wrapped her chain around the demon dog. The demon dog let out a growl. "I got them!" Charlie yelled. "I got them!" Luna yelled. Charlie and Luna both ran towards the demon dog but clSmokeed into one another. Crescent then sighed and then shot the dog with a tranquilizing dart but it failed. The demon dog let out a howl, a pile of rocks started to crack some of them falling. Nile and Monstrid looked at each other and then walked towards the rock pile. Monstrid then pulled back some of the rocks and then they saw a window. Monstrid put his hand through the glass. "It's a house." Monstrid said. One of the rocks fell and hit another tree, the tree tinged again, the rock rolling backwards. Monstrid and Nile looked at each other once more. Monstrid ran towards the metal tree with Nile running not far behind. Monstrid ripped off the bark and the inside was hollow. Monstrid quickly then jumped into the tree, starling Nile, she quickly followed behind. Monstrid and Nile then started to slide down the tree like a water park ride. Monstrid and Nile finally hit the bottom of the tree. There was a whole room at the bottom with technology and books. Monstrid and Nile was looking around, Nile found something that caught her eye, a book. a book with a skull and swords on it. Nile picked up the book, a cobweb being attached to it dust all over it, Nile blew off the dust. "Hew Niles, there is stwairs ovwer here." Monstrid said excitedly. What they didn't notice was a camera. Monstrid and Nile went over towards the stairs and they walked up them, to a hatch. Monstrid pried open the hatch. They were in a hallway now, the hallway led to a fireplace, due to the building being old the fire died down a while ago. On the other side was an old-timey room fit with a table with chairs, cabinets, an ice bucket, and 2 doors. Before they were able to explore more, they heard a blood-curling roar. Monstrid and Nile ran out the door making all the boulders fall making trees fall as well in the process. Monstrid and Nile found the rest of the crew with Phoeno having the demon dog tied up in her chains, the rest of the crew having their weapons trained on the demon dog. "What are you doing to the dog?" Monstrid asked. "This dog needs to be put down." Luna said, trying to put it lightly. "It's in pain." Nile added. "Yeah," Luna said. "Wait what?" Luna said, confused. "Let me talk to it." Nile said. Nile slowly approached the demon dog, "Hey." Nile said in a soft voice. "It's gonna be okay." Nile said and got ready to pet the demon dog before it rustled. Nile started petting the demon dog, its fur firm and stiff. "Shhh, it'll be over soon." Nile said. "Please." Nile heard the demon dog say please. "Did you guys hear that?" Nile asked, pondering if it was only her who heard the demon dog talk. "What?" Phoeno asked. "The howl?" Luna also asked. Nile just looked back at the demon dog. "Guess not." Nile said. "Shhh, it's going to be over soon." Nile said to calm the demon dog. "You ready, Nil?" Phoeno asked. "Just get it over with." Nile said getting up and turning around and walking away but stopping by Phoeno. "Just be gentle." Nile said. Phoeno went over and all Nile hurt was a gunshot, she then turned around to see a red orb with claw marks on it. "What do we do with the orb?" Crescent asked. "We can't just leave it here." Charlie added. "I'll carry it." Nile answered. Nile grabbed the orb. The crew then eventually went into town and began to dumpster dive. Then there was a rustle, the thing inside bit Killer. "Ow!" He drew his gun, a cat exposed itself from the rubbage. As Well as a dog made up of trash. "It's a trash dog." Nile said. "Huh." Luna said. "And a cat." Nile picked up the cat. "I wanna take it home." Luna picked up the trash dog. "I'll name him Terasha." Luna stated. "I'll name the cat, Tako." "Well we've seen we've gotten all we can, let's bounce." Killer said. "What about that cave?" Carscod said. "Korrow said not to go there." Charlie said. "Korrow said to get parts and the odds of there being parts is low but not impossible, I say we shall go." Carscod stated. "Agreed." Luna backed up. The Crew began to walk towards the cave, Killer already walking back home. "Guys?" "Guys!" Killer said then turned around. "Wait for me." Killer said quietly. "There isn't going to be anything there." Killer said, annoyed. "You wanna bet on that?" Crescent said, challenging Killer. "That's a bet I'm willing to take." Killer said. "Bet seven bucks." Crescent said. That walked through the cave and hit a dead end. Killer smirked and looked at Crescent, Crescent then handed Killer 7 bucks. "Alright let's go." Killer said the crew began to turn around. "Wait, I want to take a souvenir!" Luna said. Luna went over to a spike jetting from the wall, she tried to snap a piece off, but there was a click, the dead end lowered down. Killer and the rest of the crew turned back around and started to walk towards the entrance. It was a white castle, with blue parts and a flag with 2 golden swords on it. "I believe you owe me my seven dollars and your seven dollars." Crescent said. They went inside the castle, it had bookshelves everywhere, a ladder slid over, with a man on it with sandals on, blue robe with yellow stars, a long white beard, with a staff. "Why hello there I am Sandálias, the man of sandals." the wizard said. "Oh my god, it's a wizard!" Charlie said happy. "Wizards do not dress like that." Carscod said. "Well I am a special wizard." He began to walk down the stairs and then walk on the air. "What brings you here?" Sandálias asked. "Um, we need parts to make stuff." Luna stated. "Ho ho ho, I can help with that, please leave your shoes at the doormat." The Wizard said he went into the back and gave them a bag of parts. "I threw in a little secret." The Wizard said.

The crew then got back home. "Hah, where did you guys get all this?" Korrow asked. "Um sandal man." Crescent said. "No, you cannot trust a man with sandals on." Korrow said. "He seemed nice to me." Crescent said. "I believe he wasn't even a wizard." Carscod stated. "Well I don't trust it, so away it goes." Korrow tossed the bag outside. "Welp, go do whatever it is you guys do, be back by curfew." Korrow said. The crew then dispersed, eventually Luna went outside and rummaged through the bag. Crescent then opened the window above her. "What you looking for?" Crescent asked. "Well, if Korrow doesn't like him I want to find out why." Luna responded. The rest of the crew poked their heads out. "The parts he gave us, has the same insignia that Korrow brands his stuff with, this is Korrow's old gear." Carscod stated. "Wait, look!" Charlie stated. Inside the bag was a drawing and some writing. Luna emptied the bag and turned the bag inside out. The bag was a map. The map read, "To find the all-healing ruby and the cursing sapphire, turn the hourglass at the center" Luna looked up at the crew. "Looks like we got another adventure. The rest of the crew then rushed outside. "Have a safe trip." Wa Wa said.

The Crew started walking through the forest. "Oh look, there is that dungeon that Korrow was talking about." Charlie said. "As Korrow said, that is another adventure." Luna responded. "So where is the center of the island at?" Charlie asked. "The center of the island is at coordinates 25.0070° N, 71.0065° W." Carscod responded. "It's a well." Carscod said, "How do you have so much knowledge?" Killer asked. "I do not know, I just know." Carscod said. "Hey you're like a machine." Killer hit Carscod's shoulder then walking away. "Thanks." Pheno said to Carscod. The Crew then walked to the coordinates. Luna then moved a vine in front of her, to see an old cracked stone well with a wooden roof on it. Moss surrounding it, so many vines. The Crew then walked over to the well. "Why is it cracked?" Carscod asked, confused. "So where is the hourglass?" Charlie asked. Luna looked down the well. She tried to hoist the bucket up but the rope would not move. "Shit, it won't budge." Luna said. "Step aside, let me try." Killer said cocky. Killer tried to move the rope and grunted and then let go, letting out a heavy breath. "Yeah, it's not budging." Killer said. "I got it." Monstrid said, he then tugged the rope raising the bucket up. "It's empty!" Charlie said. "What if it isn't a literal hourglass?" Carscod wondered. Luna went over to the bucket and turned it upside down. The rope then hoisted the bucket back down, then it rose back up, a yellow glow coming out from it. Luna looked inside the bucket, inside was the hourglass. Luna grabbed the hourglass and tipped it upside down and laid it onto the bucket, a clock began to tick. Then a wind blew in, and an evil cackle came. The hourglass fell back into the well. "No!" Luna screamed. Tentacles came out of holes of the cave, Sandálias appeared from the hole his hands being tentacles. His hands went back to normal and dropped back down. "Sandálias." Monstrid said. "Why hello, there, thank you for helping me find the healing ruby and cursing sapphire, allow me to thank you!" Sandálias then extended his tentacle arm at Carscod and pushed him against the wall and then at the roof. "Carscod!" Crescent yelled. He pulled out his sword and cut the tentacle off, black blood coming out of it. Sandálias letting out an inhuman noise. "I got him." Pheno said, grabbing Carscod. Pheno pulled out her gun and shot at Sandálias. Sandálias putting up a star shield. He then started to spin the star like a saw and then sent it flying at the crew then duking out of the way. "You are not worthy of your own powers." Sandálias said, letting out an evil laugh. Pheno shot Sandálias with a fireball, he just bounced back like a ragdoll. He then summoned a fireball, sending it at Pheno hitting her against the wall. Charlie went up and punched Sandálias with his gauntlets, Sandálias just moving like a bobblehead. Sandálias then summoned his own gauntlets and tried to hit Charlie, dodging the attack. "Stay still, you maggot." Sandálias yelled. Crescent came up with his sword and jumped onto Sandálias stabbing him in the neck, Sandálias letting out another shriek, it being so loud, everyone had to hold their ears except for Crescent due to his suit and for some reason Carscod. Sandálias punched Charlie in the face, sending him flying. Carscod pulled out a metal staff. "Where did you get that from?" Pheno asked. "It's my upgrade." Sandálias grabbed Crescent with his tentacle arm and then held him. "Hm, what to do with you?" "Let him go!" Carscod yelled. His staff then having a spike on the end, he threw it cutting Sandálias' tentacle. Sandálias used his other arm to grab Crescent by the leg and threw him at Carscod. Carscod simply grabbed Crescent. Luna was just watching everything. Guero jumped at Sandálias, he then started to breathe fire. Sandálias started to pull Guero towards the fire. Pheno pulled out a feathery chain and grabbed Guero. Sandálias touched the ground making it ice, Carscod was still holding Crescent he then slipped and fell. "If only you knew how to use your powers." "Hahaha, now it's only you." Sandálias then went towards Luna. Luna looked around panicking, everyone hurt. "No!" Luna said angrily, her putting her hands in front of her in fear, a tiny star came out of her hand with glitter. Luna looked at her hands. Luna jumped up, almost being at the ceiling. Sandálias breathed fire on her, a star shield appeared in front of her. Her bashing into Sandálias and then flipping off of him. She sent the star at him, slicing him in half. "No!." Sandálias said, still alive crawling away grunting. "Now it's time to finish you." Luna said badassly. She put her hand out. "Huh nothing happened." Then suddenly a meteor came crashing down and hit Sandálias. The meteor then cracked and broke and fell over. Sandálias still grunted, barely still being able to crawl. "Huh, I gotta give him credit, where credit is due, he's still alive." Luna said. Afterwards a staff hit Sandálias' head. "Korrow!" Luna yelled. She then ran towards Korrow, hugging him. Pheno then got up. "Korrow?" she alarmed. She then got up, along with everyone else getting up and hugging Korrow. "So what about the ruby and the sapphire?" Luna pondered. Korrow went over to the well and rubbed his hands against the stones. "There was supposed to be an hourglass here." Korrow stated. "Yeah it fell down into the well." Carscod said. Korrow then looked down into the well, and saw two shines. "They're real." Korrow whispered. "What's real?" Monstrid asked. "The ruby and sapphire." Korrow said. "How do you know?" Luna asked. "I see them." "Where?" Carscod asked. "In the well." "How can you see down that far?" Luna asked. "Eagle eyed vision." Korrow said, winking. Korrow then pulled out a telescope and gave it to Luna. "Look for yourself then pass it around. Everyone then all looked at the stones. "Wow." "That's so cool!" Monstrid said. "Alright then let's go get it." Carscod said. Luna then got up and began to put her feet on the well ready to drop down. Korrow then grabbed her. "Hey, what are you doing?!" "Let go of me!" Luna said. Korrow put Luna down. "What was that for?" Luna asked calmly. "This well is over 1,802 miles down, this was the middle of back when the world was called Pangea." Korrow said. "No one has ever survived the fall, even people with ropes, tech, or even flying powers." Korrow said. "But our mission wasn't to get the ruby and sapphire but to know if it exists!" Korrow said happily. "So mission achieved, bravo, well done!" Korrow said happily then wrapping his arms around the crew. "We should celebrate The Equalizers first ever mission!" Korrow said. "How about some cake?" The crew all let out a laugh.
