1 Chapter 1
It was dim only a few rays of light was aloud in through the cracks of the room of the temple, it was covered in moss and vines around the poles that were holding it up making it look more beautiful that it did when it was first made when the goddess was alive.
At the back of the temple their is a golden yet unclean statue of the goddess that once ruled the island caring for her creatures saving them from harm with her powers and magic. But an accident accused when she wasn't able to save her them so in order for them to live she had to sacrifice herself in order to bring back peace onto the island keeping everyone safe once again until another god or goddess is chosen to take her role in the temple.
Today on the island of the fallen goddess a beautiful baby was born looking nothing like any of her parents giving everyone their suspicions of who she might be. The baby was as white as the beautiful goddess herself with her glimmering diamond blue eyes and huge fluffy white monkey tail nothing like an ordinary monkey or like their kind to have huge big fluffy tails. Theirs are normally normal monkey size tails but it could be coincidence that she was born like that or has a mutation.
The villagers wanted to see if she could be the chosen one to help protect their land from evil but she wasn't old enough to take the trail to find the goddess's staff so they would have to wait for her to grow to an old enough age to go a retrieve it to see if she was worthy.
15 years later the white little monkey has now come to the age allowable to go on a trail to find her worth and a possible future of immortality.
"Are you ready my little angel?" The mother asked the little white monkey with her hands on the child's cheeks worried hoping that nothing bad will happen to her baby.
"Yes mum, I will get the staff and help fight the big scary monsters!" The little white monkey replied with confidence but she was hiding her true feelings inside hoping that she doesn't really come across anything scary or could possibly kill her.
"Oh, Aurora how could I ever live without you?" Her mother said hugging her before seeing the glimpse of the trial monkeys heading towards their treehouse. Trial monkeys are the type of role and people in the village who are in control of the trial giving only one destination of where the staff is located and the monkey that chooses to go on that trial, must go on a tretarous journey to retrieve it but only and only the chosen one can lift the staff allowing them to bring it back home safely and protect the land from evil becoming the god or goddess of the temple.
"Don't worry mother I will try my best and come back safe and sound without a scratch!" Aurora exclaimed giving herself some determination and hoping to stop her mother from worrying too much.
Knocks were heard on the treehouse door as her mother answered as the trial monkeys stood waiting to take her cold away for the dangerous trail to find and wield the staff.
"Ma'am we are here for the child" one of them said as Aurora came to the door with her long fluffy money tail meeting them allowing them to take her to the where the trail will begin.
"This trail is very important young one, don't muck it up" one of them said again putting a little pressure on the white monkey.
"But, why?" She asked them while walking behind them as they wore long red elegant gowns Chinese styled walking professionally towards the ruins.
"What are they gonna do with her mother?" A young half monkey child asked his mother a quite good friend for Aurora's.
"She's going to take a very long and dangerous quest to retrieve the goddess's staff" she replied her sons question as the trial was close to beginning.
"Evil is closing I hope to see you alive young monkey" one of them said pushing aurora at the start of her journey. "On the blossom mountain their is where you will find the treasure, look up and see what you are truly meant to be" the trail monkey said pointing in the direction where she's supposed to head and continue to go with no turn.
Aurora began her tretarous journey leaving the island on a boat keep going north to find the blossom mountain they said in their riddle. Dangerous waves had be ridden the boat tipped a few times drenched the poor half monkey child as she traveled throughout the sea in search of the place she is distended to be but the trip took days, weeks or maybe months to get a glimpse of the blossom mountain as it was known for its beautiful pink, white trees and falling leaves.
"I found it" Aurora said to herself as excitement surged through her body glad that she finally found it after 5 months of surviving of fish and other things while travelling on the sea. As she got to the sandy shore and out of the boat touching the soft sand below the calm beautiful sight was seen as petals of pink and white were flying through the air distracting her from her surroundings.
"This place is amazing!" She said walking closer to the trees that were loosing their leaves that were slowly flying in the breeze. Suddenly a twig snapped stopping Aurora I'm her tracks catching her attention to we're the sound was coming from which was in the nearby forest I'm front of her that hide many things. As she took a few more steps forward a arrow was met as it bearly missed her face by an inch leaving a little scratch as more arrows came her way causing her to panic and rush out of the arrows aim running to find a safe place until she could find the hidden staff on-top of a mountain.
"Why wasn't I told about this! I could've died but they did say it was dangerous but a warning could be useful!" she exclaimed quietly to herself keeping more of a watch not to get distracted while hiding from the beings that were shooting arrows at her.
Aurora kept her distance and lost her track at where the trial monkeys pointed her to go meaning that she was to make the rest of the way by herself and try and find the staff and go back home where it would be the Safest place to be right now. Footsteps were heard scattering around looking for her as she kept herself hidden in the shadows despite her pure white coat of fur and hair which could cost her life not helping her in this death-like situation.
Another set of arrows founds their way to her almost hitting her long tail causing her to rush on all fours this time keeping herself low Before getting back onto two noticing a tunnel in her sight hoping to get out of those maniacs aim of fire. Still running Aurora was able to go into the tunnel that seemed to be dark and long leading somewhere but it couldn't be that easy for her to find the staff, after all they did say it was on top of a blossom mountain but what if it wasn't true, what if it wasn't on top maybe I could be them teasing her, testing her intelligence seeing if she'll become a stupid monkey goddess or they were just bluffing messing with her head lying about her being worthy of wielding the staff.
She went deeper into the tunnel following its steep tracks and twisty turns trying to confuse her as she grew closer and closer to the exit but a tunnel like this couldn't lead so something great that'll be too easy. Suddenly the tunnel began to get smaller and smaller she got to the light making her crawl the rest of the way before hearing a voice.
"Did you get them?" A Male spoke as she grew closer to the edge seeing the black furred monkey he seemed young like her too talking to other small normal looking monkeys with the same fur colour he has showing that he must be their guardian.
"No they're still roaming the island searching for something" the little spoke in monkey not among the Male very happy as he groaned before leaving the room giving Aurora a chance to climb inside and search the very cleaned and preserved place.
"I things can't get done right, do it yourself!" He yelled leaving the room with his little monkey friends as his footsteps were heard fading down the corridor as she noticed the staff held on a platform by a statue poking like the one in the accent temple on her island so she began to climb down landing near the staff seeing it as its seemed to attract her towards it like she was destined to wield it, so she got closer going on fours again rushing in front of the staff gently grabbing it lifting it like it was some stick.
"Hold it intruder! Get away form the staff!" The Male voice was heard yelling as Aurora turned to face him as he held it shadow spiked staff before noticing who she was as she was finally able to face him all the way.
"Sorry but I need this staff" Aurora said with kinda nervous laugh holding the staff in front of him as he looked at her shocked that their was finally someone able to hold the staff after over 10,000 years since the first goddess's death meaning that the legend is still continuing.
"Angel, it's an honour to finally meet you" he said lowering his weapon and bowing down as did his little monkey friends confusing Aurora.
"The names Aurora.... who are you?" She replied not knowing that monkey dude as he stayed down on one knee before looking up at her again.
"My apologies, the names macaque like i said before it's an honour" he answered showing his respect to her like she was his ruler a queen of some sort but Aurora needed to go back home as soon as possible to show her mother that she did it.
"I hope you wouldn't mind me leaving would you?" She asked as he stood back up on his feet with his weapon still lowered.
"Before you go allow me to give you a tour" he said offering Aurora a hand as he moved it away her direction but something seemed off about him something very dark and evil.
"Umm, sure" she replied suspiciously accepting his invitation for a tour around the island but as she got outside everything changed the atmosphere everything, the dark feeling began to grow incredibly uncomfortable for Aurora since she's mostly positive and kind not dark and evil. But this island looked so beautiful when she arrived so was all of this a lie is the staff one too but if it was then why would they send her here if it wasn't unless the staff was last and where the goddess died meaning that the stories she was told were fake. Aurora was so confused on what to think with all of this negative and evil atmosphere that so rounded her positive circle.
"You seem uncomfortable, is the dark power too much for you? For course it is you are made of positivity and the last goddess died here sooo... you're gonna die here too" he said stopping Aurora with hands behind his back looking at her with a evil look before bursting into laughter placing his hands on his hips like it was some sick joke.
"What's so funny?" Aurora asked not getting it even though he did say he wanted to kill her just not why he was laughing so historically about it.
"I'm just joking! Someone as beautiful as you don't deserve to die yet, you don't even know how to work your staff or activate your powers! It wouldn't be fair if I just killed you like my father would've done years ago before he was killed" macaque said with a smile as Aurora wasn't finding this funny at all but he can't say anything he can't sue his powers good as well he seemed new to this stuff anyway.
"You're an idiot right?" She said crossing her arms made as he made eye contact with her before seeing a glimmer of gold flash through wiping his smile away.
"Sorry, uh, I love to make dark jokes" he said rubbing the back of his head nervously before cringing for embarrassment.
Aurora wanted to leave this island immediately with the staff that supposedly was ment to be on-top of a blossom mountain making her quite mad for being lied to by her own people.
"I need to go home, my mother needs me" Aurora said causing macaque to pause again knowing something. "What?" She asked confused actually talking to this dude but he knew more that she did and the island.
"Your home would already be destroyed by shadow demons by now" he said owning something but isn't in control to some of the shadows just yet it'll take a while for him to be strong enough to use their power as his own.
"You're lying!" She yelled at him as a little urge of electricity went around her shocking him as her eyes flashed golden for a second realising who he is actually going against than a mear amateur.
"Fine, go its your fault for not being there I'm time" he said before vanishing into the darkness as Aurora quickly rushed in the opposite direction where she came from in the first place, the shore.
She was able to get there without any trouble but as she stopped in her tracks seeing that her boat was broken, smashed no wonder why he wanted to take her on a tour skeins his creepy ass island. She randomly aimed her staff on the floor pressing it against the sand resting against his with her hand wanting to go home wanting to see that he was wrong or if she could at least do something.
Suddenly the staff grew long bringing her with it shooting her high in the sucky as she clanged onto it for her life seeing how high she was above the sea and past the clouds not wanting to plummet into the deep endless sea below. While still shooting through the air she could see her familia island but something seemed off a huge shadows monster was seen destroying the village with every hit it made colliding with the ground, her heart began to beat faster and faster with the thought of losing everything she ever had on the island her family, friends, everything.
Aurora closed her eyes thinking of what she could do but she wouldn't be able to make it or is already too late. Suddenly the feeling off a gently breeze was felt brushing against her skin before opening her eyes again seeing that she flying with her staff in hand but this wasn't right, so she looked up to see some weird gold glowing wings on her back causing her to glide above the clouds making his day a bit more better than it was before so she quickly dived down into her direction towards the shadow monster before quickly colliding with the beast as it weirdly vanished as some waves in water went everywhere due to the collision. Aurora stood up onto her feet again with her staff still in her hand before looking to see everything destroyed failing her purpose as a goddess but nothing is truly lost right?
The young goddess quickly began to rush towards the direction of her treehouse home before seeing it destroyed. Aurora thought of the worse of what could've happened to her mother seeing how smashed up the whole village was but they could've evacuated the island or be kidnapped by the beast but everything was uncertain.
"Maybe I should clean things up" she thought I herself wanting to get rid of this mess and lean it up and fix her treehouse home too.
She looked up at the treehouse that was in terrible condition giving the new goddess no hope of restoring her village again.
"Come on sis, dad raised you better than that" Aurora's brothers vice was heard behind her as she quickly turned to see him there actually I'm first of her. "Don't worry everyone have evacuated to another Island waiting for you" he said but if they did why would he be here making her think of who this monkey actually is.
"Why are you here then?" She asked him as his belly tumbled as he gave her a cheeky laugh.
"I wanted to see my sis. oh you got the staff! I knew you could do it" he said noticing her staff but if there was one rule it was for a goddess to not leave the island without check for any danger or threat that could possible still be on it.
"Sorry but I must decline, I have a feeling that I need to check this whole island for bad, evil creatures before going anywhere" she replied as his eyes went all dark and evil as Aurora knew that she has already found the evil demon.
"Like me?" He said in a demonic evil way letting her know that her family aren't actually evacuated they're more and definitely dead.
"You!" She yelled as she glowed golden as yellow static came of her blue as her eyes went pure golden finally activating her powers. "You'll lay for hurting my village and my family, friends everything!" She yelled before rushing at the demon at super speed getting rid of it with one punch banishing it as the boys of her brothers turned to pure shadow as it flies away form the island.
Aurora went to the abandoned temple going inside seeing all the ruins and ancient drawing and writings of the legacy of angel the goddess who's power is based of the sun and moons lights positivity giving her the beautiful white coat and the glow when she activates her power.
"I might as well be called 'angel the goddess of failure'" she said to herself as she walked down the hallway before entering the main room where the goddess would sleep on her comfy bed that is held by the golden statue of the first ever monkey goddess. "Can I just sleep for a couple centres if I could" she said to herself before climbing up the statue before getting onto the bed that seemed to be very clean and had the suns light on it making it the perfect place to gain energy and sleep at the same time. So she did as that as tried to sleep for as long as a couple of centuries have passed by hoping that something good will happen in her island when she wakes up.
