CH-2 I'm a Monke!?

'What the fuck'

That was the only thing I could say right now. I definitely got reincarnated but when and where are important questions. The most important one is concerning what abilities I have, which basically decides my future plans.

For now, I should have them stand up. I don't have a god complex so it's weird seeing hundreds of monkeys kneeling around me.

*cough*

As he made a coughing sound, the monkeys raised their heads, looking at him with reverence in their eyes. While both the baby and the monkeys looked at each other without making a sound, a few minutes passed.

The baby sat atop the flower with a large banana leaf covering his body underneath the torso and the monkeys made a circle, sitting around him, still with the same look in their eyes.

'Okay. This is getting annoying but I don't think I can send them away or go away myself when they have this look on them. They even offered me food.'

"H-Hello. Ohhh nice I can speak. Looking at the size of my hands, I should be around 2 years old. So basic functions are normal." He nodded his head, folding his baby hands in a thinking position.

"Now onto you guys. Can you understand me?" The baby asked as he looked at the monkeys standing straight ahead of him. The group all nodded yes hurriedly like they were following an order.

The baby had a wide smile on his face and clapped his hands once. "This is interesting. Can you please take me to a pond?"

The group again nodded yes and the monkeys cleared a path for him to walk through with 3 of them standing at the end to show him the way. "Excellent! Let's go then." With this, a baby with banana leaf pants started following the three monkeys and all the other monkeys started following him.

At the Lake

The baby sat near the edge of the lake, with his small feet touching the water, staring at his own reflection with a solemn expression and complexity in his eyes.

'I am a MONKE!!!'

'Wait- Demon Monkey? Or God Monke? I mean I am Baby Mori Jin, so basically the OP Monkey King but still in his childhood or should I say infancy. Doesn't matter. This opens a lot of prospects as Mori Jin was pretty strong, to the point of controlling reality in his universe. Though a really long training arc is required to get there.'

All the monkeys stood behind him as he stared at himself in the water.

'I haven't checked one more important thing though.' "System? Are you there?"

'Hmm. No response. There are still quite a few words left.' "Status." As he said the word, a light blue screen popped into his vision.

Age - 2 years(24 years mentally)

Race - Demon/God

Title - 'Son of Gaia', 'The Monkey King', 'Reincarnater'

'Well Well, I do have a system, it only shows status for now. Let's hope it is more than what it seems in the future.' He touched the surface with a single finger, sending light ripples which distorted his reflection. '*sigh*System, set my name to Aemos please.'

[Name - ???->Aemos]

'At least I don't have to manually write or anything.' "Hey system, you are semi-sentient right?"

[User is correct]

The status displayed on the blue screen disappeared as some words took their place. Aemos frowned as he was expecting some mechanical voice instead of simple text.

"I thought you would have a voice function, but you seem even simpler than I imagined."

[The System needs a certain amount of energy required to activate the remaining functions as the backup was also used to preserve the User's soul.]

"Okay, that seems reasonable. Let's explore you later, I need to get back for now." Aemos stood up from his position, turning towards the monkeys with a smile on his face. "We are going back fellow monkeys." The monkeys waited until he walked to the front and slowly returned to the place they had been staying earlier.

While the reincarnated baby was deciding what exactly to do in the future, his appearance came like a rock thrown into the water in this universe, sending ripples throughout history and the timeline. The beings that could see the future, all of them were just seeing a white light now. Few laughed, a few got nervous, and a few panicked but all of them were curious about the cause of all this.

(A/N) - And we're back! Sorry for the late chapter, I just completed a k-drama called Guardian or famously known as Goblin. Loved it! The show gave me some good ideas for romance between our Monke and the female lead. Will try and update tomorrow as well! (I'll post the power levels in the aux chapters soon...)
