Structural manipulation — for tier 4 beings, the ability to manipulate a small part of their environment was small. With the use of spiritual energy, manipulating certain objects was a simple thing.

Having reflected on his thoughts, Carter then nodded his head in agreement.

Pathways —

Defining pathways was a hard task that required Carter to scrape down every piece of information and rebuild it from scratch.

From the memories he had received, Carter's understanding of pathways wasn't deep. He found it to be complex yet a bit straightforward. It was a confusing process.

Pathways —

Millions of years ago, in a realm where monsters roamed freely and havoc was always present, three races coexisted: monsters, humans, and elves.

During those millions of years ago, these races would always be at war. The humans would stand at the bottom of this category. Greedy, they craved power that was not their own and betrayed their own regardless of the consequences it held.

During those millions of years ago, of the three races, the humans were the first to start an all-out war. Elves were kidnapped on a regular basis; the same applied to eggs that were soon to hatch. After raging an all-out war, the humans were the ones that suffered the most in the end. Hundreds, if not thousands, died that day; unfortunately, it didn't seem to faze the humans' resolve for power.

Not many wanted to die of old age; many craved the power of the beasts that could live for hundreds to thousands of years. Flags were raised, and blood was drawn. In the end, the humans were the ones that lost such a battle.

Years went by quickly until a day came where humans actually sought the power they needed.

Now, the question was: why explain all this? Having possessed the knowledge, there wasn't a need to explain all this, but Carter preferred if he did just that. It was his way of actually reminiscing on the information he received.

And now Carter could say he has a solid grasp on what pathways are.

"Pathways — abilities and skills that originate from beasts that used to roam in ancient times. Ascender's insight would be an example. It's clear that it's an ability from the beasts that roamed ancient times," Carter said aloud.

Having a firmer understanding of the information he possessed, Carter then turned to face the golden orb that was floating before him.

Having learned that this small orb was actually his soul was a bit shocking to him. Although it may have been shocking, it wasn't unbelievable.

Folding his arms, Carter frowned.

"Now the question is: how am I supposed to get out of here?" Carter said to himself.

It was unclear how long he had been in this state, and this made him worry a bit. Time passed, and it was unbeknownst to Carter how long he had spent in the soul realm. Having nothing to do at the moment, he decided to practice his Fight technique a bit. Shadow dance — it's a technique that places precise and timed strikes above all. After some thought, this made Carter ponder on how he could incorporate his Time manipulation ability with this technique.

But for now, at least, it was best to know himself a bit better than to randomly use his techniques.

"Let's start with the one that seems simple," he said to himself, his gaze, however, glued to the partial manipulation section.

"The benefits of a tier 4, huh."

Raising his hand outward, Carter allowed warm energy to flow through his hand. Truth be told, this was actually his first time using spiritual energy, and at the moment, he only had 300 points worth of it.

That familiar warm feeling coursed through his hands before eventually arriving at his fingertips.

Shhzzzzz!

Carter's eyes were wide open as if they were instilled with fear. Bringing his finger to his face, Carter inspected the deep cut that marked his fingertip. His blood stained the dark room in red. Seeing this, Carter frowned.

Spiritual energy was more chaotic than he actually thought it was.

Spiritual energy: 300 → 298

With just two points, his finger had a deep cut.

Sighing in distress, Carter brought his finger to his shirt and tightly wrapped it.

Hours later —

Currently at this moment Carter was in the midst of understanding what actually took place .

His finger tips presented evident indications of healing.

Resident ~

"Lily" a woman called,her tone held a spark of disappointment as hsw called for the woman named Lily.

Lily on the other hand at this moment was on her knees, her delicate face was stained with tears that revealed her worries..

"Is it because I found him! Or is this your way of keeping me away from him just like you once did?" Lily asked her tone was filled with sarcasm and a pang of rage .

Sera Tapped her throne as she stared at Lily indifferently.

"It seems all my efforts were futile in the face of your love" sera said as she frowned upon hearing Lily's words.

A sigh escaped Sera's lips as she used her throne as support so that she could rise to her Feet's .

Her movements were extremely quick, quick enough for Lily to not realize who was standing before her .

Sera then shifted her gaze to Lily who was still on her knees .

Her lips trembled as they parted slightly unfortunately her hesitation stopped her from uttering a single word .

"Your going to show me where that lover of yours live right?" Sera asked, but in truth it was actually a demand.

A demand Lily couldn't reject.

And so the two went along their short journey with Grace along the way who was secretly following them.

Finally after what seemed like eternity Carter could now leave .

Being inside his own soul taught him a life lesson but what could be more fun that actually enjoying life?.
