Convincing the mother in law

"Foolish girl, if it wasn't for your sake, I wouldn't have even thought about visiting such a place."

An hour eventually passed, and during that time span, Carter took the initiative to catch up with his wives a bit.

And by the time he had everything sorted out, Carter then went over to Lily, who seemingly had a look of distress.

After some time, Carter's movements finally came to a stop.

"Woman, why are you always so fierce?" He whispered in a soft tone.

Upon hearing this, like a wild cat, Sera bared her teeth.

"I'm a fierce, so what? Hurry and let me go; this lady has elsewhere to be."

Upon hearing this, Carter couldn't help but grin widely.

"Do you think I'd let you go after you've stepped onto my territory?"

"Little girl, open your eyes. Don't you see what the man that you've chosen has done to your mother?" Sera turned her head to face Lily, who was seemingly quite perplexed about the situation.

Lily's lips then parted slightly as the girl pinched her finger to ease the pang of hesitation that she felt. However, Lily found herself unable to say what she had initially wanted.

"Hmmphh, foolish girl. It seems that you weren't as brave as I thought you'd be," Sera said in a sarcastic tone as she rolled her eyes.

Crouching down to face Sera, with the use of his fingers, Carter cupped a portion of the woman's face.

"What do you think you're doing?"

Ignoring the beauty's fierce mood, Carter brought his face even closer to the woman's.

"Sera, there are two things that should have been explained from the start.

Number 1: the fact that anything that moves, crawls, talks, chirps, or even makes a single noise is mine as long as it's in my territory. Now tell me, Sera, who do you think is in my territory? Who do you think holds all the right to this place?"

Sera frowned upon hearing Carter's words. It was unclear what his motives were behind all this, but as time passed, she came to her own conclusion.

Due to her embarrassment, however, she decided to let the matter slide... for now at least.

Seeing that Sera had finally decided to listen, Carter then continued.

"Number 2: I'm a very straightforward person, Sera. If I like something and I'm able to have it, I'll gladly do so. Your motive for attacking me wasn't solely based on the sake of Lily. So tell me, Sera, what were your true motives?"

A smirk adorned Sera's face.

"Do you know how dangerous Lily's abilities are? As the only woman of the entire 'Avi' family, Lily is the first to have possessed the abilities of the bird that was once worshiped in mythology.

The divine race of love, otherwise known as Dove birds.

It was once believed that once a dove falls in love, her soul will forever bind to the person she had once and will forever cherish.

Boy, let me make this clear: I don't hate you, but I do resent you.

Do you know the consequences of you being around Lily?

The more her love grows, the deeper the connection between you two becomes. And as her mother, I don't think it'd be safe to have her daughter around a psychotic man that only knows how to seduce women.

But I ask you not as a stranger, but as Lily's mother.

"You don't have me, but you resent me. Isn't that basically the same thing?" Carter thought.

"But I don't get how this affects our relationship," Carter voiced his opinion.

Upon hearing the boy's words, Sera bitterly shook her head as she bit her lips.

"Her soul; Lily's soul may collapse due to her twin personality. When a dove falls in love, it initially expects to wholly have its partner all to itself.

So now think, boy, what do you think will happen when Lily can't wholly have you all to herself?

Do with time they develop a second personality that's very needy and extremely possessive.

Can you guarantee that you'll always be there to meet her needs? Can you guarantee that you'll always be there to always protect her?

Can you guarantee that death is not a part of your journey?"

"So to summarize the whole situation, Lily's soul would probably collapse in the near future, and the possibility of her dying is very likely to be true."

'No wonder this woman was so fierce.' Carter thought.

"As a father, I understand your concerns. If there'd come a day that I'd have to choose between my child's life or her lover, then the answer would most definitely be my child.

I understand your concerns, Sera. However, what you've just said is nothing more than validation for your own comfort.

Have you ever thought about how Lily felt? Have you ever discussed this matter with her? In the end, Sera, what you've done is seek validation of your own." Carter's words were direct and raw.

If Sera couldn't handle the truth, so be it, but what Carter needed wasn't the validation of a mother-in-law, but rather his soon-to-be wife.

"I'm not saying your concerns are wrong, but rather the way you have done things.

There's always more than one way to approach a situation, and you, Sera, have chosen a path that you seemingly approached base on a simple whim."

Upon hearing Carter's words Sera settled down herself.

His words somewhat revebrated with the mindset she used to possess before her olds age .

'Maybe he's right or maybe he's wrong ' Sera thought as she stole a glance at the handsome Youth.

'hmmphh don't think that I don't know your motive you degenerate man ' Sera thought as a light pink painted her fair face.

A week later ~

A week ahead passed since that faithful day and many things had taken place since then.

One being that Carter had successfully bribed his mother in law into living with him and his family.

Another being that Grace Joined his harem .

Anyways the wives and daughter were Happy and thats all that mattered .
