1 Debt...

Da ding' the doors to the gas station automatically open and a Tall and skinny man walks in. The man's name is Ark. He is tall and very skinny due to malnutrition because of his father. When his father passed away, Ark's father's debt was all handed down to him to pay off. Ark walks to the back of the store and grabs a pack of ramen that is labeled "$1.49 NaruChan soup, Ramen Noodle chicken flavor 4 pack." Ark also grabs a bottle of water for around one dollar. As Ark walks up to the cashier to pay a faint angelic voice in the back of his head whispers to him, "𝘨𝘳𝘢𝘣 𝘢 𝘭𝘰𝘵𝘵𝘦𝘳𝘺 𝘵𝘪𝘤𝘬𝘦𝘵." 𝘸𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘩𝘦𝘭𝘭 𝘸𝘢𝘴 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵? 𝘸𝘩𝘺 𝘸𝘰𝘶𝘭𝘥 𝘐 𝘣𝘶𝘺 𝘢 𝘭𝘰𝘵𝘵𝘦𝘳𝘺 𝘵𝘪𝘤𝘬𝘦𝘵 𝘐'𝘮 𝘣𝘳𝘰𝘬𝘦 𝘢𝘭𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘥𝘺.. Ark proceeds to grab a lottery ticket and place it along with the rest of his items on the counter where the cashier is. "Okay sir, your total will be 2.64 and yes that does include tax" Ark reaches for his back pocket and grabs his wallet. He grabs two one-dollar bills along with 2 quarters, a dime, and four pennies, "here.." Ark says while placing the money down on the counter. "Will that be all for you today?" the cashier asks. "No this will be all, have a good day" ark repeats while grabbing his items and leaving.

As Ark walks out of the store he grabs a penny and begins to scratch off the lottery ticket. "Jackpot: $3,765,630… numbers needed to win, 12, 17, 36, and 94" as Ark scratches the ticket the first number is revealed…. 36. Ark begins to frantically scratch the next numbers…. 94....17…...12. Ark begins to check the lottery ticket again with a huge grin on his face he finally confirms that he won the jackpot. Ark then falls to his knees sobbing tears of joy. He looks at the lottery ticket again and it says "If you won have any prize of 1 thousand or more please contact your state's "lottery of public relations office at xxx-xxx-xxxx" Ark then reaches for his pocket and grabs his phone the date on his phone says July 10th, 2021. "Hey kid I hope you haven't forgotten about that debt that your scrawny little shit of a father handed down to you" Ark suddenly turns around only to find 3 huge buff men holding baseball bats and are riddled with tattoos behind him. "N-no sir I haven't I was going to give you guys my money I collected this week but I had to spend it to help pay for my grandma's hospital bill…" the men then proceed to walk up to Ark… once they got around 2 feet from ark one of the men swing the bat at ark.. 𝘧𝘸𝘰𝘰𝘴𝘩' the bat hits Ark right in the rib 𝘊𝘳𝘢𝘤𝘬' the sound of Ark's ribs breaking echo through the streets. Ark falls to the floor in agony, he begins to cough up blood. Ark's phone has dropped to the floor and shattered. The voice of an office worker from the lottery ticket company can barely be heard from the speaker of the phone.

One of the men spit on Ark and continues to kick and hit Ark with a bat. "Yeah you little bitch when we kill you make sure to say hello to your old pops for us in hell and be sure to tell him that you paid the debt because when we kill you we will be sure to sell your body parts for a hefty price on the black market" the men continue to kick and hit Ark. "p-please s-sto" as Ark tries to blurt out that one sentence but he coughs blood everywhere and passes out. " hey this little shit passed out! Wait….. what the hell is that? " the man points to the ground where the lottery ticket is. "This little shit just paid off his debt! He won the jackpot!" the man grabs the ticket and shows it to the other two men who were beating Ark." hell yeah! Let's take that ticket and get the fuck out of here" before leaving one of the men leave a sticky note in his pocket.

Ark slowly opens his eyes only to find himself inside of this room. His room has a bed and a desk with a laptop on it. Ark reaches for his phone that is laying on his bed plugged into a charger. But when he reaches for his phone his entire body aches with pain from head to toe. Ark eventually grabs his phone and notices it is cracked. "Dammit, I can't afford a new phone, I will just have to stick with this one." Ark turns his phone on only to find one new message from his little sister that was sent a few hours ago that says " by the time you are reading this I'm probably at school. You have been knocked out cold on sleeping pills from the hospital and have been asleep for a few days. The doctors say you should wake up today, oh and by the way I heard about that vrmmo game you are always telling me about called what was it?... oh yeah "God's Gate" I heard that the headsets are only 200 dollars now because of a summer deal that they are doing! Ark writes a short message back to his sister about how he is awake and much better and he is going to see if he has enough money to order a headset to be able to play. Ark then goes to the official God's gate website on his phone and checks the price of the headsets 𝘖𝘯𝘭𝘺 269 𝘥𝘰𝘭𝘭𝘢𝘳𝘴! 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵'𝘴 𝘤𝘳𝘢𝘻𝘺! He then presses the home screen on his phone and goes to his banking app and checks his balance…. "721 dollars" 𝘞𝘩𝘦𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘩𝘦𝘭𝘭 𝘥𝘪𝘥 𝘐 𝘨𝘦𝘵 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘮𝘶𝘤𝘩 𝘮𝘰𝘯𝘦𝘺 𝘧𝘳𝘰𝘮? Ark then has a flashback to when he was visiting his grandmother and she said that she was going to give him some money because he needed it. Ark then goes back to the God's gate website and orders 2 headsets. 𝘛𝘩𝘢𝘯𝘬𝘴, 𝘨𝘳𝘢𝘯𝘥𝘮𝘢 𝘐 𝘭𝘰𝘷𝘦 𝘺𝘰𝘶!

Several days later~ DaTing' a notification suddenly popped up on Ark's phone that says, "God's gate VRMMO head x2 has arrived" 𝘏𝘦𝘭𝘭 𝘺𝘦𝘢𝘩! 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘺 𝘧𝘪𝘯𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘺 𝘢𝘳𝘳𝘪𝘷𝘦𝘥! Ark rushes to the front door and swings the door open! As soon as ark opens the door right next to his feet are 2 packages. Ark then sets one package in his sister's room and unboxes his then he heads back to his room. 𝘏𝘦𝘭𝘭 𝘺𝘦𝘢𝘩! Ark then lays on his bed, puts the headset on, and blurts out "God's gate open!" A series of calibration checks happen first, The calibration checks ask simple questions like "language" and "date of birth" then once that is done Ark gets teleported to a Room With a huge mirror. Suddenly a menu pops up in front of ark saying "character customization" the menu then blurts out a series of questions "hair color?" 𝘞𝘢𝘪𝘵 𝘸𝘩𝘢𝘵? 𝘐𝘴 𝘪𝘵 𝘵𝘢𝘭𝘬𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘰 𝘮𝘦….? 𝘞𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘴𝘩𝘰𝘶𝘭𝘥 𝘮𝘺 𝘩𝘢𝘪𝘳 𝘤𝘰𝘭𝘰𝘳 𝘣𝘦? 𝘏𝘮𝘮𝘮…. 𝘏𝘰𝘸 𝘢𝘣𝘰𝘶𝘵….. 'Blackish grey…..." the character customization then goes on and asks more questions regarding Ark "can I just leave everything else like it is in real life?" The character customization then asks one simple question: "Username?" Ark then goes to answer Ark! "character customization completed now entering god's gate"
