We're Back Because He Told Us To

Beijing International Airport

The airplane that had ventured the sea of clouds from Paris to China, has finally arrived.

A beautiful woman dressed in a long skirted dress with a dress coat, carrying her handbag along with a backpack, and was accompanied by a little handsome boy carrying his own little backpack, came down from the first-class cabin of the plane.

After stepping on the ground, the woman breathed a sigh of relief, finally she was released from the hellish feeling of being on air. Finally! She has returned to her homeland after two long years. She planned on staying abroad for one more year, but alas some things just don't go as planned, well in fact some things you don't expect but anticipated to happen just occur.

"Ming Shi, let's go. Hold mommy's hand and don't let go, unless you are to, okay?"

"Yes, mommy!"

Together with her son, Ming Shi, Yang Lan proceeded to picking up their baggage. After picking up two big suitcases along with another two handbags, Ming Shi let go of his mother's hand and held one of the suitcase's handle while following his mother. Yang Lan searched for the person that was supposed to pick them up.

And as she expected her husband Ming Lu has sent his assistant accompanied with two bodyguards to pick them up. She thought that as her husband he would personally pick them up. Sigh.

"Please follow us, Madam, Young Master,"

The two bodyguards grabbed the suitcase and two handbags she was holding. The other bodyguard wanted to take her backpack, but she refused, since her bag had Ming Shi's things.

The assistant guided them to the Rolls Royće that was parked at the airport's parking space. As they were walking, Ming Shi could not help but be curious, "Mommy, who is this uncle? Where is he taking us?" he asked his mother. "Xiao Shi, this is Assistant Gu. He is your father's assistant, and he will be taking us to our home," she answered.

"Our home? But mommy our home is in Paris, while we are in Beijing. And father? Mommy are we really finally gonna meat my father!?"

"Silly, Ming Shi our real home is here, and our home is where your father is. And yes baby, you are finally gonna meet you daddy."

They halted when they arrived at where the car was parked. Yang Lan proceeded to open the second row seats door, and carried Ming Shi inside, then took a seat herself.

After taking a seat Yang Lan fell deep in to her thoughts, not even realizing her son had went to the co-pilot seat where a man had told him to sit on his lap, and the car began to move towards the city's center. Meanwhile, the other car went to Ming Mansion, after the body guards put their luggage inside the second vehicle.

To be honest, after 3 years, she thought that he would finally escape from her husband. She thought they were divorced long ago! But her partner actually never submitted their divorce papers. And the reason was because, the day she left the country and the day before he was supposed to submit the papers, Ming Lu found out the reason she left.

Yang Lan's and Ming Lu's marriage was an arranged one, it was only natural since they both came from the upper class, but Yang Lan actually had feelings for Ming Lu that's why she agreed to marry him at the early age of 19. At 20 was when she got pregnant and 22 when the so called divorce was suppose to happen.

She let out another sigh.

The reason why they were suppose to divorce was because of a scandal, it's not that she does not have faith nor believe in her husband, it was simply because he loved him too much that she would let him go if he found someone he loved, and she thought he loved the woman he had a scandal with, after all he was clean person before this one and only scandal he had, also because she did not want Ming Shi, her 2 year old baby, to find out that his parents did not love each other and only conceived him because it was their duty as wife and husband.

So she made the excuse that Ming Shi's father was always busy and could not stay with them.

Since her baby was with her she thought everything was gonna be okay that's why she chose to divorce him. But after their divorce and after she left the country, the pain of losing Ming Lu came rushing to her heart almost breaking her to pieces, she suffered a shallow depression when she was taking care of the 2 year old Ming Shi. But eventually, she moved on and thinking of positive things helped her get rid of her depression.

Even though their divorce, Yang Lan wondered why she was receiving 100,000 dollars every month, when he asked him once, he told her it was to money for Ming Shi. But isn't 100,000 dollars too much every month?

And when she suggested divorce Ming Lu just accepted it without rebelling, and that was before he knew she was only divorcing him because of that scandal, and because she loved him that she was willing to let go.

Ming Lu explained to Ming Ran, Yang Lan's best friend and his sister that the woman in the scandal was someone who just suddenly hugged him out of nowhere after a lunch meeting at a restaurant. Since it was a private restaurant he didn't take precautions, giving the reporter who made the scandal a chance. He already investigated it and solved the scandal, the woman was actually sentenced for a few years in prison, and was made to pay a huge amount of money due to harassment and privacy issues.

[A/N: Sorry I don't study law. Somebody tell me which law can get you in prison for hugging someone out of nowhere I'll try to edit this.]

After hearing her husband's explanation, Yang Lan regretted leaving him without hearing his point of view regarding the scandal, and only paid attention to the article's made up words.

He didn't chase her for 2 years because he thought she needed space and would eventually come back, he knew she suffered overseas but refrained from being in touch with her, except asking about Ming Shi's health and sending money to them.

Ming Lu had enough wait and decided to just ask her to come back, and if she didn't want to? He'll bring her back by force.

Surprisingly, when he informed her she even cried at the other end after hearing his explanation and told him that she will come back. The two finally reconciled.

There's also another fact which is that Yang Lan discovered Ming Lu's reason 2 months after she left, Ming Ran told her about it and that's when her depression lightened and vanished, so she waited. She waited for the day that maybe Ming Lu will tell her to come back, hence she waited for 2 years, and finally. Well if he hadn't told her to come back after 2 years of waiting, she thought she might as well be the one to approach him after another year.

Thus the situation today.

Meanwhile, she was so lost in thoughts that she did not realize that the man who had been occupying her mind was currently the one sitting at the shotgun seat, and her son was currently sitting in that same man's lap talking to him. Even the fact that they were not heading to Ming Lu's mansion, she did not notice.
