For the last 3 years, the eldest hasn't been taking his studies seriously. At first, the king thought that it might be because of his son's immature thinking, he's still a kid after all. But in the past years, the kid did not show any inkling interest in the matter.

"Hn. Like I said, father. Don't expect anything from that guy. Why not choose the best suited for the job? It's not like the succession was already set in stone." A kid with the same deep red but short messy hair, sitting next to Dyruz' left, said with confidence. He has sharp eyebrows, black eyes and wears glasses. He's the Second Prince, Darius Von Del Mahika. He adjusted his glasses and continued. "Compared to him, I'm a lot smarter and an excellent mage already. In just 10 years, I might even surpass you."

Although he sounded like an arrogant kid, his words were supported by his achievements. He's what you call a 'true genius' of his generation. He's 2 years younger than Dyruz but his accomplishments are unbelievable for his age. Usually, kids his age, at the age of 10, should only be starting to learn how to establish a connection with their Magista to be able to use Mana and cast Magic. This process usually takes at least 6 months or even years to accomplish. On the other hand, at the age of 5, he managed to do it instinctively.

Dyruz was given a high quality Magista from a man he doesn't even know of, named Duke Kleymen, who was invited on his 7th birthday. At first he thought that it was just some kind of toy made from expensive materials so he just used it to 'discipline' his little brother, such as hitting Darius' palm whenever he didn't listen to him or for being a naughty kid, of course with only a light force. He's not a bully after all.

One day, Darius got enough of it and asked a maid to buy him a Magista. Then, he challenged his older brother into a duel using their Magista as their sword and his bed as the ring. Whoever falls on the bed or surrenders wins and will be deemed as the older brother. Dyruz laughed at his cute little brother and proceeded to kick his ass. They didn't really have any training yet so the match was pretty obvious, the bigger kid won.

When Dyruz thought that the match was over, he heard his brother cry and suddenly he was met with a gust of wind and flung outside the ring (bed). His head hit the wall, knocking him unconscious. But before his eyes and consciousness fully shutted down, he caught a glimpse of crying Darius floating in the air with a glowing Magista in his hand. 'Damn, I thought I was just reincarnated in a medieval era or something. Looks like this life will be much more interesting.' He thought and fell unconscious.

A moment later, a Magic Knight rushed in and saw what happened. He thought someone dared to attack the innocent children of the king, he was very furious and ashamed of his incompetence as a guard. But when he saw Darius, he was met with confusion followed by realization. Even his king, the strongest mage, needed a week just to establish connection with Magista at the age of 10 which was already considered a monstrous talent. But the Second Prince just did it after holding one for a couple of minutes, almost instinctively. There was only one thing in his mind. 'A god just descended from the heavens.'

He immediately shunned any more thoughts and caught Darius mid air who fell unconscious. He brought the two of them to the Royal Doctors to get treated and then reported what happened to his Majesty.

–Present–

"Well, you heard him. It's not like I'm going to bring any good to the people of this kingdom." Dyruz said, without even retorting his brother's words. He lifted his arm, patted Darius' messy hair and said teasingly. "Right?".

Darius slapped his brother's hand away and said annoyingly, "Hey, don't treat me like a kid".

Although Darius has such monstrous talent when it comes to magic, after both of them learned how to use Mana, he never once won a single battle against Dyruz.

For humans, Magic is divided into 11 stages or ranks called circles and each consists of 5 stars. This ranking is based on how much Mana one can use and how much activation of Magista they are capable of. These two things are quantified and the mean determines one's rank. Therefore, even for someone who has a low amount of Mana but has talent in the activation of Magista and vice versa, he/she can attain high rank. As for other species capable of storing Mana in their bodies, there are more factors to consider in quantifying their Magical capabilities but the same concept still applies.

There are only two individuals in the world's history who have attained the rank of 11th circle. That is King Dyroth himself who is 3 stars and the Demon Lord Antares of the Kratos Kingdom, who is 2 stars. Currently, the kingdoms of Anthropolos and Kratos reigns at the top, both economically and in military power.

On the other hand, a requirement for a normal Knight is at least 3rd circle, a Royal Guard is at least 5th circle, Magic Knight is at least 7th circle and Grand Knight is at least 8th circle. As for the Mages, a normal Mage should be at least 4th circle, at least 6th circle for Tower Mage, and 8th circle for Grand Mage.

Before, those who received the title 'Grand' were considered the strongest. Only 5 percent of the world's population who can control Mana are capable of such a feat. But then, King Dyroth appeared. He surpassed everyone and forced the creation of a new rank, the 11th circle. And those who can wield such power are called Demigods.

As for Dyruz and Darius, at such a young age, they were already 2nd and 3rd circle respectively. This is the reason why everyone is quite puzzled at Dyruz. Despite him being lower in rank, his Magic output is much stronger than his brother's. For example, if they cast the same Magic like fire, his is way hotter and last much longer.

There hasn't been any case like this before, unless there are factors they need to reconsider in calculating and quantifying Magic power which can break the balance of Magic itself. In the case of humans, the amount of Mana is responsible for the scale and duration of Magic, while Magista activation is responsible for power and intensity. Because of this, they quickly abandoned the thought and just labeled him as abnormal. With all the talents and monstrous individuals appearing out of nowhere, abnormalities such as this are easily accepted to be within the scope of expectations.
