Halloween and 2-time National Champions

(A/N: Sorry guys, for the late update, usually I write a chapter/s at night and upload them the next day, with some tweaking I think is suitable at that time, I don't have a schedule for the chapters, I'll try to post a chapter every day be it in the early morning or late at night depending on your region.

*Claire POV*

Today is my favorite holiday of the whole year and with me, Phil also shares this emotion for some reason, Nate likes this holiday as much as I do. Usually, he is a smart, sincere kid, but sometimes he shows "Pritchet competitiveness" in his behavior like in his basketball games and in the past couple of years with his help in Halloween decorations. I think it is something to do with our constant need to outdo our other peers and this shows in our house decorations as well.

Last year, we almost scared Dad to a heart attack or so he let us think, but he was just preparing us for his scary prank for Halloween and I thought for one moment that Nate will not be too happy about this holiday anymore because he got scared not because of dad's prank but what would he do, if that prank was reality. I have no shame in saying that he like his grandpa more than anyone in the family except me and Phil of course and it reciprocates with dad as well this is also another reason to bond with dad so that Nate does not have to choose between both of them whenever they both want to do something different and I am going off topic, back to Halloween, after last year scare, Nate is again preparing with me for this year's Halloween prank and I am happy to see that my baby is back in the groove.

As I was making breakfast, I hear Alex and Haley scream to the top of their lungs and shout that they might have seen a real ghost, so I ran upstairs and saw both of them on the ground still shouting and trembling and Nate was there laughing on the floor in his costume and I have to say looking at the costume, it was scary and in the right environment like the closet upstairs you can scare others like Haley and Alex are scared right now.

After that, Nate and I did what we always do on this holiday, scare Phil when he will come back from his street striding(God! I hate that thing), and let's just say that was the most satisfying scare we gave Phil in the past couple of years since Nate and I started doing this.

After that, as this is the last year Nate will be going to trick and treating because according to him he will be entering high school in a couple of years and he needs to act like a high schooler.

So, the whole family went as Alex and Luke are still kids and Haley's friend had a party, so I dropped her there and after that, we went Trick and Treat.

After dropping Alex and Luke at dad's, Nate, Phil, and I also went to Mitch and Cam's house to scare them as they were having their whole Halloween theme party, and the whole party was very scared we may have even scared some gays back into the closet(a/n: no offense, take it as a joke).

The whole day was fun and I was already excited for next year and with me, Nate was also excited as he and I were researching a whole lot of new ways to scare the kids coming to our home for trick and treating.

And with that thought, Nate and I once again scared Phil, as he was about to go to bed and the whole family laughed at him and Phil was very embarrassed and said that he will get back at us next year and then Nate said, "Yeah, like that is going to happen anytime soon" and we high-fived.

*MC POV*

After the whole Halloween scene, I was ready to get back to the basketball season that we are having this year.

This basketball season was not that different from the last time, we won the regional and state tournament with straight wins.

I averaged around 38 points compared to last year's 35 points and we were once again invited to the nationals by the organizing committee, this time the nationals will be in LA.

So, I don't have to travel anywhere and the whole family can come to watch the games if they are free.

The first 3 rounds were simple and we dominated our opponent. In the quarterfinals, that is the first time in my life, I got some sort of challenge, but it lasted about half a quarter and the opponent backed down as usual.

So, in the end, we won the nationals for 2nd time in a row and our team was getting the attention it deserved most of the attention was on the team's ace a.k.a "ME."

As I was presented with my M.V.P trophy, I ran to give it to my mom to safeguard it and after some celebration which included a kiss on the lips from Gigi, it was a blast and I won the nationals 2nd time.

After that, like every time I win a tournament, the whole family went out to eat and we talked about our day and what was going on with all of our lives.

Then we went home and I was not that tired, so I chatted with Gigi for some time and as I was laying on my soft bed, I didn't know when or how I went to sleep.
