1 Chapter 1: Marty Dunphy

I come to this word 14 years ago. At first I didn't understand what is going on but soon I get used to this world.

I become Phil Dolphy's younger brother. I am also very good at study, you can expect that from a traveler. I am now at Caltech 2nd year majoring in computer science.

In my previous life I lived for 41 year, my life was successful, I worked as a freelance data analyst. I was able be in the top 1% people in the world.

My name was also Marty Dunphy so I didn't have psychological burden of new name. My parent past away when I was 20 years old. They passed away before I could even get chance to give them back for what they done for me.

Now I got call from Phil that he has very important news to share and ask me come to meet him.

In the quit coffee shop,

There was two people silently drinking coffee.

Man around 24 asked the girl who looked around late 23.

"Claire, how are you."

Claire glare at him.

"How do you think I am, Phil?"

Phil lower his head. And spoke.

"So what do you want to do?"

Claire looked at him, her face was helpless.

"What do you think I should do? You are always looking for fun and doing your magic stuff, how I am supposed to depend on you."

"I will change myself, for you and the baby. Believe me Claire."

Phil said with determined face. Reached out to touch her hand and said.

Claire has never seen this determination and seriousness on face. For a movement she was relieved that he was at least serious.

"After my father knew about this he was furious, he wants to talk to you."

Phil was startled hearing her say about her dad. He has always been scared of her dad.

"Why does he wants to talk to me?"

Claire laughed.

"Why else? He wants to talk to the man who knocked her daughter."

Phil said.

"Don't enjoy yourself too much"

"Why are always afraid of him. I will be there don't worry too much."

"Don't pretend that I don't know, he pretend to be desponded in you and you deliberately provoke him."

Claire looked embarrassed and changed the topic.

"Anyway you have to come to meet him. He expect to see you tomorrow."

"Then, I will bring Marty with me."

Phil said.

"Your brother?"

Claire asked.

"Yes. He has been smart from the childhood. He is in the second year of Caltech. He can handle the situation better than me"

Phil said with smile.

Claire: "I hope so."
