Getting famous
"Please, Ethan. Please do that. If not for you do it for me", Haley said the whole time.
She recently told Cam and Mitchell about the song I sang for her and Cam recommended uploading it on YouTube. This way my love for her would be universal and she could hear it the whole time.
"Ok. Ok. But I will wear a mask and not reveal my identity or anything."
"Another important thing is that you won't tell anybody. OKAY!", I tell her in a raised voice at the end.
I knew it would be hard for her to keep her mouth shut but she could do it.
After that, I ordered a specialized tailor for masks to create a mask for me.
I wanted to get something similar to a ski mask with a black Ace Spades card on it.
I created an extra YouTube account where I called myself ACE.
After that, I needed to look for a studio. It wasn't that hard to find a studio in Los Angeles and I soon found one.
I rented it and started recording the song the next week.
After I finished recording it I took it back home.
Back at home I put on the mask and started playing the song. It wasn't just some random notes I played. It was the real song.
When I finished with that I took out my laptop and started editing the footage. My computer skills were okay. They weren't considered very good, but I was good enough for editing that simple and small footage.
After I finished everything I started to upload it on YouTube.
It wasn't surprising that I didn't get any views for the next few days. Even if my song was good it would still need to get picked up by the algorithm.
Today I went on a walk with Haley. Her parents weren't at home. They were at the middle school ball with Luke and Alex.
As many have probably already noticed, I loved walks.
I tried to infect Haley with that, but she didn't like it as much as me.
I didn't force it into her. Everyone has their differences. I was clear of that.
"I don't understand Ethan. Why does your song only have 200 views", Haley said pondering.
"It still needs to be picked up by YouTube. If YouTube judges it as good after a few days it will probably appear on the start page of some people. With these people also liking it, it will start to appear on more starting pages of more people. With that the momentum would keep growing", I told her holding her head and wandering around a mountain near the city.
We were the only ones there.
It was slowly getting dark.
Before Claire would have never allowed me to be alone with Haley this late. But now I seemed to have gained her trust.
When we first went wandering Haley was afraid of the mountain lions, but there was no need for that. It was a secured wandering path.
About half an hour later we were on top of the mountain. We were sitting on a bench looking at the city. It was already half-dark. Most city lights were already on and the sun was going down.
It formed a stunning contrast between the end of one life and the beginning of another one.
Some people were going to bed and for some, the day only really started now.
It was a rare time when you could see the nightlife of Los Angeles and the usual life combined. You may not notice it down there but on top of a mountain you could easily see it.
"A beautiful view, isn't it?", I asked Haley who was resting on my shoulders.
"Yes, but my feet hurt", she said aggrievedly.
"Ok. As compensation for dragging you with me, I will take you down with me on a piggyback", I told her with a smile.
"Yes! Let's do that", she jumped up with a smile.
"Come up here", I told her while she jumped up on the bench.
Haley wasn't heavy and with my physique, her weight wasn't too heavy to take down the road, especially since it wasn't that steep and long.
It only took about an hour back down as we were faster getting down.
After that, I took Haley home.
"My parents are still not at home. Come in. We can watch a movie together", Haley said after not seeing any lights on.
"Okay", I said and followed her into the house.
We went towards the couch. Haley started to sit down on it and picked up the remote.
"Here are some blankets", I said while giving her some.
"I don't need them", she told me putting them on the small sofa beside the couch.
"I could really sleep right now", I said while yawning.
"Why not sleep", she said with a smile patting her lap with her hands.
"Really?", I asked again wanting confirmation.
"Really"
After that I laid down resting my head on her lap. I soon started to sleep. I originally didn't even want to sleep but it was too comfortable.
When I started sleeping Haley put a blanket on me and turned the TV off.
She too started to close her eyes and was soon sleeping.
About half an hour later Claire, Phil, Alex and Luke came into the house.
"I wonder if Haley is already back at home", Claire said with concern while going toward the kitchen.
"WOW! Ethan and Haley are sleeping together", Luke said seeing me and Haley.
I didn't know about it. I was still in a deep sleep.
Soon Claire came into the living room rushing hearing Luke.
"Will I be an uncle now", Luke asked Claire excitedly.
"NO LUKE", Claire said angrily.
She originally wanted to trust them even if they were sleeping on one couch. Though in positions that aren't suspicious.
But after hearing what Luke said she still took out the UV flashlight and looked at the house.
Only after not seeing anything she started to feel relieved.
The next day I soon woke up.
I wanted to stand up and started by thrusting my head upwards.
Still half-sleeping I didn't see Haley's head being above me. Her head was a little knocked after sleeping.
"AHHhh", Haley and I both screamed after I accidentally hit her on the head.
"Everything okay guys", Phil said first running downstairs after hearing the screams.
Claire was close behind him.
"Everything good", I said with a laugh as it was pretty funny.
After that, Phil and Claire started to go to the kitchen to start the day.
Now I was completely laughing.
"Stop laughing you bastard", Haley said aggrievedly due to her head hurting, but she soon too started to laugh.
Soon after I started to drive home.
