5 Chapter 5: Interlude.

"What should we do of him?" One girl asked from the back.

I glance at the few individuals standing beside me with an inscrutable expression.

"Do nothing," I murmur in a cool, chilly tone. In response they stare at me in confusion.

Perhaps they wonder why the leader of their faction refrains from taking action against the insolent man who dares to challenge her like they are on equal grounds.

However, I have no obligation or desire to explain each and every little details.

Just as a curious girl tries to voice her doubts, I flash her a knowing smirk, and she wisely opts to keep her lips sealed.

Returning my eyes back to where they were, I saw the back of a very interesting man.

Even his silhouette commanded attention, towering with an air of unwavering arrogance, as though confidence were etched into his muscles.

Broad shoulders squared with intent, each motion spoke of disciplined strength, honed through rigorous training.

His gaze swept the surrounding crowds with disdain with fluid precision, opting not to care the chattering.

As he turned to face me once more, a playful smirk toyed at the corners of his lips.

His eyes, oh so intense... they seemed to pierce right through me, sending a delicious shiver down my spine.

Keeping my cool was becoming quite the challenge as the heat steadily rose within me, sparked by his irresistible gaze.

I averted my eyes away from his, pretending to be fascinated by the ground.

"hu hu ha ha, what a nice dog, fufufu... That brazen attitude." I mumbled to myself, feeling a hint of excitement, like a kid in a candy store.

I couldn't eved let go of such a precious play thing.

I decided that it was best to ignore my siblings so as not to give them any undesirable attention.

There was of course a lot of gossips behind my back. It's evident that my actions unwittingly stirred animosity among the girls.

Surprisingly, I seem to have achieved my objective sooner than I anticipated, who would have thought it'd be so simple?

Now, I won't have to waste time on bullshits like tea party and such, although I'm afraid my social life would be a lot more difficult... But, oh well.

As I casually glanced around, checking for any potential hazards, I couldn't shake off the unfriendly stares directed my way.

Sensing a scrutinizing gaze from the back, almost reflexively, I returned a brief, inadvertent glance back.

There she stood, as still as a statue, perhaps struck dumb by the brilliance of the order she had never once received.

Deirdre, the one I'd been eagerly anticipating, seemed to glow with the promised splendor of her nobility.

Her appearance was remarkable, unlike the illustration I have seen in the novel; her hair was meticulously straight, exuding a certain finesse and elegance.

The idea of her on a leash involuntarily curve a mischievous grin to my face. Perhaps feeling unease by my grin, she shifted her gaze away.

"Shit." I uttered with a low sigh.

Without a second thought, I sauntered away from the there, fearing the erupt of an uncontrollable laughter.

As I walked with maximum awareness though, I noticed the prince and his entourage observing me from the second floor, while Angelica stood at the gate with a perplexed expression.

"Quite the entrance you've made, master," Luxion remarked sarcastically through the speaker on my left earlobe.

"I didn't asked you a speaker so that you can utilize it inappropriately, Luxion," I retorted dryly in a quite voice.

After a brief stroll, I arrive at the male dormitory and stride in, eager to swiftly resolve the bothersome matters at hand.

Finishing with all the dorm related issues, I promptly bid farewell to the counter and set off to locate my room.

"Ooh... It's larger than I'd expected." The size of the room caught me off guard.

Ignoring luxion in my bag to show my irritation, I meticulously inspected every corner, with a deliberate slowness.

As I concluded my inspection, Luxion's disgruntled voice broke the silence, "Let me out. How long do you plan on keeping me cooped up in your bag?"

"Heh heh... I forgot you were there... Sorry sorry."

As he flew out from my bag, he appeared noticeably more irritated, his voice dripping with sarcasm as he spoke, "Well, naturally, that's the extent of Master's capabilities."

As he scrutinized me and the dorm room with dissatisfaction, I approached my bed and flopped down on my back with a thud before issuing a command.

"Hey, I want you to keep a close eyes on a girl named clearice and Olivia... Notify me immediately if any troublesome matter takes place."

"Master, choosing to immediately stalk random women upon arriving at school to fulfill your desires is quite the bold move."

With only a shift of my eyes, I shot him a winning grin, holding his gaze steadily. "Please do so Immidiately."

"Yes master, I would however, not be sharing their sizes or preference."

As soon as he dropped the sarcastic remark, he seamlessly blended into the surroundings and disappeared.

With a wistful chuckle, I reminisce about the similar conversation the nameless man had with Luxion in the novel.

Quietly, I shielded my eyes with the back of my hand, as the expression on my face vanish.

The sensation of blood oozing from your chest and the warmth of blood that spread through your shirt... It was horrible.

"Heh, yeah... pretty hilarious... Who am I right... Ha ha?"

I surrendered to the quiet, letting my thoughts wander aimlessly until a soft rap on the door stirred me from my hazg mind.

After about thirty seconds or so, I gradually stood up while making all sorts of noise with my mouth, stretch and approach the door.

As I retrieve the suitcase delivered to my doorstep, I began organizing my room, placing them in their proper places.

"hmm... Guess I should buy some pots," I mused, setting down the ominous katana and its scabbard on the study table with care.

Once everything was settled, I retrieved the gray robes and white mask from my trunk, discreetly concealing them within a paper bag.

With a nonchalant stride, I casually strolled out of the campus grounds, ignoring the various eyes I apparently attracted.

Approaching the alleyway, I retrieved the attire and swiftly donned it, blending into the surrounding seamlessly.

Feeling a tad too conspicuous, I chuckled at the thought that in this fantasy world, there were likely folks even more ostentatious than myself.

So, "all seemed well." I gaslight myself.

As it turned out, my worries were rather trivial compared to what I had initially expected.

In the streets of the capital, there were lots of individuals with a weird cringey outfit who were immersed in an even more eccentric attire.

it remind me of those guys with '8th grade syndrome' from my previous life.

They wore clothes that would have elicited a frown from me previously.

As expected, the capital was way more developed and sophisticated than the country side I was familliar with.

There were lots of sweet stalls, cafe and cute things girls would enjoy...

"Yeah right... I forgot this world was originally an otome game."

While strolling through the streets, silently judging the people that elicitated a second hand emberassment from me, a metallic voice suddenly spoke to me.

"Master, the girl you told me to stalk is nearby."

"When did I ever told you...? haaa... anyway." I murmured under the blank mask.

"Where?" I asked. Slightly exasperated.

Luxion who had been blending with the surrounding materialized before me, still translucent enough that only the careful observer would notice.

After a minute of following him, I finally saw her...

She moved with an effortless grace, a picture of purely refined elegance.

She wore a white sundress, that was a subtly seductive, neither too conservative nor too revealing.

It had a pristine white fabric catching the sunlight in gentle folds.

Delicate flower patterns adorned the hem, adding a touch of femininity to the ensemble.

The dress hugged her slender frame, hinting at curves that drew the eye without being overt.

The dress traces down her collarbones with finesse, a cute small sandal as her choice of footwear in a soft, neutral tone.

Although she was nothing like what was described, the one similar aspacts I could immidiately spot out was her sharp eyes, with an aura that exuded a quiet confidence, a woman comfortable in her own skin.

Unlike how she was described in the light novel though, this clearice was very much more lady like and graceful.

Although equally beautiful, I would not have recognize her If I was alone.

She was followed by multiple girls and a mascular boy behind.

While I was contemplating whether I should stalked them for a bit or not, ultimately, concerned about attracting attention, I swiftly departed from there.

After meandering through the streets for a while, I found myself at an antique store in the southern part of the city.

Since nothing particularly caught my eye, I decided to ask Luxion for what I wanted instead.

I came to a sudden stop, exhaling a heavy sigh. Slowly gazing up at the blue sky in dissapointment.

"I'm so stupid... I could have just asked you from the start... I'm so disapointed at myself."

"Indeed you could master... But I am not disapointed."

"...Really?"

"Well, I didn't have any expectations to begin with. So, really, how could I ever be disappointed?"

"Ha ha ha... You little shit." I laugh and started to slowly walked again back to my dormitory.

NOTE: I'd try to upload properly from tommorrow onwords.
