1 Beginning

I never thought that the world will be filled with monsters and evil. I never thought how my simple life was changed in just one night.

That fateful night that turned my life upside down. Death was caused to all the pain I suffered. I lost my family and friends. I lost my village. I lost everything.

My name is Miya, the lone survivor from the village of Elvian. I am now in my journey to find justice for the death of my family and friends. I need to defeat the enemy.

I am currently walking right now going to the Land of Dawn. I heard about this land from many people I encountered since I started my journey. They said, the evil is lurking there. The responsible of my village's extermination.

"I heard the news, another village has been wiped out by the Lord." A lady with a basket was running towards another lady who's selling fruits.

"Oh my god, I'm afraid that they will be targeting our village next." The merchant lady cried in fear.

Anyone will understand why they are afraid. These monsters are merciless. They will not hesitate to kill.

"You should be leaving by now, save yourselves. These monsters will not hesitate to kill anyone in their path." I answered while I was holding a piece of apple.

They eyed me in fear and without any word, the merchant lady packed her goods and left. I may sound scaring her but I am just telling the best for her.

"Hey you! Go home! Don't loiter around!" I heard a man's voice from the behind.

I turned around to see who's shouting. I saw a man, wearing dark blue clothing and wielding a sword. His hair is blonde and clean cut. With one look, I can already tell that he's a warrior. I was eyeing him, and he noticed me.

"What do you looking at?" He asked me rudely.

I flinched because of his rudeness. I never met a man this rude before. I don't even understand why do he have to be so rude when everyone is eyeing him like he's some kind of odd.

"Then don't scare kids like that if you don't want to be looked." I answered even a bit of fear is crawling over me. He has this look that can kill anytime.

"What did you say?" He asked angrily and he step closer that made me step back from him.

"Gosh, you don't need to shout. You are scaring the people!" I shrieked. I know I am also scaring the people but this man screams danger but still, I don't feel evilness within him. I know he's dangerous, but not evil.

"You better be—"

"Kyaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhh!"

"Oh my god!"

I heard cried all over after an explosion from a distance happened. I tore my eyes from this savage man and seen the smoke not too far from here. The smoke is from the west.

"Ggggggrrrrrrooooooolllllll!"

The familiar monster's growl made me shiver. I never heard it after a year and this is the second time. Fear consume me. I haven't moved on from the massacre that fateful night. I can still hear the screams from the villagers.

"Hey, stop idling! You want to get killed?" It feels like I was awaken from a nightmare. The savage man was looking at me with a bit of worry in his eyes.

"What's your name?" I asked him. I am right. He's dangerous but not evil.

"My name is Alucard and you?" He asked.

"Miya from Elvian." I answered him without any hesitation.

"From a marksman village." He commented and eyed my bow and arrows. "Do you fight?" He asked.

I nodded. Is he going to ask me to fight the monster? Can I even do it? I never been in a fight before. I am carrying this bow and arrows because this is the only thing I have left and this is also for protection. I can fight but not that much. I still lack of experience.

"I can tell that you are a novice. But don't worry just back me up. We need to save this village before they turn this into a mere ash." He said and he started running towards the smoke.

I don't have any choice but to follow him. I readied my bow and arrow to support Alucard. Just the both of us, will fight the monster. Just the both of us, will fight Venom.
