Shape-shifting Problems
"Oh my goodness, Ru! You have some explaining to do. Where have you been? Why—"
"Later." Ru placed a slender finger against her lips, before grabbing Valentine's wrist. "For now we have to run."
Ru was fast and her grip was tight.
Too tight.
Valentina couldn't help but observe that.
As they continued to run, she tripped and fell. So Ru's hold on her slipped too.
"You can't just be falling around like that, we have to go!" Ru snapped and Valentina froze for a second, she blinked, suspicion consuming the corners of her heart.
She stood up before Ru would hold her and held her stomach instead to create an illusion of their unavailability.
Her breath came out in pants, her gaze fixed on Ru as she combed the environment with her eyes.
When Val laughed, her attention snapped to her and Ru held her wrist once again but instead of continuing their journey, Val placed her hands on opposite sides of her head.
