Mission Going Haywire

VALENTINA

---

"Get out of my way, right not. I'm going to the club whether you like it or not."

"We can't let you, Miss Silvers. It will be harder to keep you safe in a crowded place."

"Safe? I think I am no longer in danger. It's been more than a week already! Why are you guys still here?"

That was it, I've had enough with this spoilt brat.

"Because your mum paid us to be." I groaned, popping another sweet in my mouth.

Delicious.

Truly, we should already be out of here by now, but pretty princess' parents over there, were still terrified that she could be in danger, so they paid us to stay for a month.

A month in a luxurious masion? I could definitely roll with that.

I chuckled internally at how crazy she might act when she finally realized this.

Let me guess? She would most likely break a vase, crash some things to the ground or even threaten to hurt herself. I had been with way too many of her kind to know just how they were. Also, I had just the thing to calm them down.

No, I didn't mean it like that.

I meant I had tranquilizers to put them to sleep it they started getting too troublesome.

This was one of the reasons why the people in our Unit were mostly female.

This was because, the people we were appointed to protect were always females. Also, no sexual activity was tolerated because the Unit wasn't ready to lose any of their rare female valued soldiers to the horror of pregnancy.

I scoffed internally again.

Till the Unit would let us go, my breasts and pússy were just to fill proportional parts in my uniform.

So the rules had implied, and for how 'law abiding' I was, that was no hassle.

"Val, I need you to get up here and help me." Ru snapped at me from where she was still standing by the door, trying to talk sense into Anastasia Silvers' thick skull.

I rolled my eyes, taking my legs off the table that I had them up on, before raising up to my feet. I was quick to grab my suitcase, looking for that injection already.

Her pesky voice was starting to really irritate me.

"Val, no." Ru groaned, while she struggled with Anastasia to keep her away from the door, as she tried to reach it like a desperate kitten.

I closed the suitcase with a click.

Sometimes, I wished Ru wasn't so diplomatic.

"Fine, fine," I dropped the suitcase, walking towards the door to block it off.

At that moment, she slipped out of Ru's grip, bumping right into me.

"Get out of my way, Hourglass." She hissed at me, taking a step back and pulling her fancy hang bag over her shoulder nervously, while she let out light pants.

I took a look at her dress and appreciated her great fashion taste. I would kill to be able to rock that sleeveless, blue dazzling mini gown she had on.

And goodness, those heels!

"I said get out of my way!"

My lips tugged up in a smirk and I said, "You forget to add the Hourglass this time."

Anastasia had been unbearable since we arrived. At first I tried to be understanding because it wasn't easy to be stuck in a particular place with strangers for days, take it from someone with experience, but as time went by, I realized she was just been mean, so I decided to give her back a taste of what she served.

Ever since then, it's been 'Mean Banquet' all the way.

"See we can do this the easy way or the hard way. I can put you to sleep or---"

"Val!" Ru snapped again.

Goodness, what did she want me to do again? I was been a sweet soul right not, couldn't she see that?

"Please, Miss Silvers, calm down."

Ru said from behind her, as she put her arms around her and lead her slowly to her bed, like she was a child that needed to be treated delicately, else she'd break.

"I just want to go out," she cried, messing up her make up.

Dang, not the make up! She had done it so well.

They started talking after that, it seemed like things were getting sorted out and finally she wasn't crying anymore.

Well, time to return to the sweets.

I settled back in the chair, swinging my legs up on the table once again, while I stared at the screen that was hung on the wall to my right.

'I killed your mother, but I am your Mother.'

I nodded. Good show.

I loved this place for many reasons. The first one was definitely the unending snacks.

The next was the fact that there was a TV, which had different channels on it and not just one with different fighting techniques like in the Unit.

The room was quiet and peaceful once again. Ru was on a side, at the door, her face straight as she went through a novel that Anastasia had given her.

I bet it was just like the novel in the Unit.

Her overly passive expression had given it away. Looking extra normal when she was reading books like that was one of the many skills she had mastered.

I wondered if she was going to steal this one too.

Anastasia was on her bed, scrolling through her phone.

Then she stood up and I arched a questioning eyebrow at her quickly.

"I'm not trying to run away," She snapped at me before smiling at Ru.

Great. I'm never anyone's favorite.

I couldn't blame her though. I kind of deserved it.

"So, where's are you going to?"

I stood up, ready to follow her or stop her.

Whichever one was needed.

"The bathroom."

She started walking away and I followed.

"To what, escape?"

She glared at me immediately. "Helloooo, privacy?"

"Val, give the girl a break. We are on the top floor. It's not like she is going to just fly out through the window."

I bit the inside of the mouth, nodding.

"Alright."

I sat down back in my chair.

Yeah, I had been on her neck too much. I should probably give her a break.

Anastasia smiled to Ru, before she carefully by passed me to the bathroom, like I was some forbidden thing not to be touched, even by accident.

I rolled my eyes.

She was stuck with us for two more weeks or so. She would just have to learn to cohabitate.

I was the first person to realize that Anastasia had spent way too long in the bathroom.

It was about 20 minutes already.

My brain started coming up with logical excuses for her but my instincts shut then down immediately.

Without saying a word to Ru, I picked up my gun and matched to the bathroom.

"Anastasia, are you in there?"

Silence.

Eerie silence.

Ru was now behind me, her face filled with worry, the novel she was reading long forgotten, her grip tight on her gun.

"Anastasia?" I called out again and more silence.

I jumped into actions immediately, pressing down the doorknob.

Locked.

With a few kicks, I got the door down and Ru bolted in but she came back to me just as quickly with that look on her face.

I rushed in immediately.

This had better not be what I think it was.

But it was.

There was no denying it.

The window was broken.

It looked like there had been a bit of a struggle in here, and Anastasia?

Well, she was gone.

Fun Fact : Anastasia Silvers can(not) fly.

Going somewhere without voting and/or leaving a comment? Dang! You just hurt my feelings.
