I shuddered in pain, my body shaking like I had just been crashed into by many different cars, racing at their fastest speed.
It was a pain to move but I pushed that aside, and tightened my grip around what I believed should be Ru's hand.
Air.
Empty air.
My eyes flew open and I gritted my teeth at the realization, strength taking me. I sprung up to my feet, charging at Rowan.
"You left her there! You left her there to die! You left her alone! How could do?!"
Someone grabbed me from behind, caging me with his arms and restraining my movement. Kyros. His lean arms, commanding strength, that I couldn't wrestle against in my weak state.
I flailed around, wanting to attack the Incubus by all means necessary. Even if my nails were to only claw his face, it would help to soothe the burning anger and growing grief inside me.
