The Message 2
After Service Mo saw some very familiar faces, some her Clients with their families. She saw her friend Naomi who was rushing out of the church but could not see Mo because of where she was standing she had a clear view of the church vicinity and lots of members were troopi g out already so Naomi couldn't have seen her.
Mo called out to her "Naomi!!! Naomi paused and looked back at the sound of a familiar voice.
Mo came out of where she was, as Naomi spotted her she gave her a hug with a big radiant smile on her face.
Naomi said" hey Mo what's up happy Sunday good to see you". Mo rolled her eyes while smiling and said to Naomi "I should be telling you this I hardly see you in church these days where we're you rushing to just now"?
"Babe I am going to see my soon to be mother in law ooo you know how I told you she is this modern tasty woman who wants everything at our wedding to be classy and all. I was rushing because I am already late for the meeting"
"I promised myself that I will not miss today's service that was why I came".
"Mo love I have to go now". No problems Babe would call you".
As Naomi was talking they kept moving towards the car park Naomi promised to call Mo and gist her about her wedding plans and how she can assist her. She waved Mo goodbye and sped off.
Mo remembered that she has an appointment with her Parents this evening which she must not miss or else she will have an ear full.
As Mo was walking to her Service point, Someone started calling out to her Morenike! Morenike!! Morenike!!! She heard the call on the third call and looked back curious as to who will call her name in full as she usually introduces herself to people as Mo.
She recognised the face as a friend from her secondary school days. She was surprised to see her 'Keji' She wondered what Keji was doing here in Lagos, the last she heard from her she was married and based in Ibadan.
She and Keji were rivals in Secondary school they were never close friends. So Mo smiled as she approaches. "Hi Keji what's up what are you doing here do you attend Morden Christian CHURCH (MCC)" Mo asked?
"Yes I and my Family just recently relocated to Lagos from Ibadan. My Husband was transfered to the head office of his company here in Lagos" said Keji.
"How did you know about our Church, asked Mo"?
I listen to Pastor Adeleke's message on YouTube he is loaded just like today's message on diligence look at how he broke it down to the applicability in our lives and even in our business, our relations with people.
My Husband was so happy that we get to attend services live here at MCC". "The message drove through my heart, the church Ambience is amazing".
"Yeah true our Pastor's message is always original you could literally feel its freshness from heaven said Mo".
"How are you Mo? How is your husband and Children doing"?
Mo responded with her smile faltering a bit.
"Am not married yet ooo, am still single and searching"
"Really Keji responded with surprise look on her face. Your still single? Wow! I came with my husband and son tho"
"Mo said in her mind who asked her all this now" while keeping the smile on her face intact.
Keji kept talking without noticing any difference about Mo's attitude.
"We could hookup sometime soon when you have the time. I could introduce you to one or two single friends of my husband who is also searching like you".
Mo politely declined "No thanks, I will meet my man I appreciate your concern"
The conversation was getting too long and it was almost time for her departmental meeting. Just as she bade Keji farewell Keji insisted they exchanged contact which they did and Mo rushed off to her meeting.
Mo got to her creative department they meeting was centered around the upcoming event, the team leader encouraged everyone to drop ideas on the WhatsApp group, they scheduled a physical meeting for Saturday evening shared responsibilities on who will research, collate point and then present them on Saturday.
After the meeting Mo took off to her Parents place.
