Friday Work

Omolara lives at a place called Mowe which really far from the office. Mo is always amazed at the time she wakes up to come to the office. Although, Mo never asked her about it once.

Mo although loved by her staffs cannot be messed with as they are always on their toes when it comes to delivering quality service.

The Staffs all know one thing that Mo cherishes professionalism above all things and they must not or cannot do anything short of excellence.

The office work begins.

Mo picked up a fabric Omolara just recently concluded, and was Impressed by the craftmanship put into the fabric. The fabric is usually called Ankara was finely and neatly designed with beads and stones such that it was sparkling as if it was laced with diamonds.

The {3}Ankara was a very expensive one, the client who owns it is one who complains alot so Mo was glad that Omolara was just able to finish it in time but did an amazing job at portraying exactly what the client wants.

Mo faced Omolara because all this while she was backing her, " Omolara you did a very good job keep it up, If you keep up at this rate of professionalism in no time you will open your own fashion house" .

Omolara was so happy to hear this from her Boss, she was grinning from ear to ear she felt like she was just given a gold medal for becoming a champion in the boxing ring, because her Boss seldom gives praises.

While Omolara was basking in her Boss's Praises the rest of the Staffs started trooping in one after the other.

Mo has a total of ten staffs altogether. Five of them are stylists, two men, three women while three of them are apprentices, she has a Personal Assistant (P.A.) and an Accountant who collects cash from clients or confirms transfers. The accountant also takes care of the office books for the purposes of tax remittance.

Mo being a lawyer as well as a Fashion designer hates to be on the wrong side of the law so she always does everything to avoid legal issues.

When the time struck 9:30am the whole staffs except Joan who is a perpetual late comer, gathered at the reception to have a morning prayer together. Mo being a Christian does not joke with prayers as she believes that only God can do all things. She also believes that Professionalism plus Prayers equals to Excellence.

After the Prayers everyone started their daily routine.

Joan being an apprentice briskly walked into the office with beads of sweat on her head, panting occasionally as if she had being running down.

Joan speaks to the accountant. "Lolu I saw Madam's car outside is she inside the office now?"

Lolu responds "She is not only inside, she has closed the register for today, and we have even prayed today, you did not try at all., look at the time you are just arriving at the office 10:40am" Lolu shakes her head walks to the water dispenser to get water to drink.

Joan stood still with panic written all over her face as she does not know what to do, she contemplated going to apologise to the Boss for her lateness or she pretends she has been around a while since the Boss is in her office discussing plans for the day with her Personal Assistant. She settled for the later option that she would pretend and when her Boss sees her she would say she does not want to interrupt their meeting.

The Stylist began their work for the day.

A woman looking expensive from head to toe with her calm nice perfume filling the whole reception area stepped into the reception to get her cloth.

The Accountant Lolu who also doubles as the receptionist because her office is at the reception area welcomes the Client. "Miss Pamela it's so good to see you this wonderful morning welcome ma" . "Kindly have your sit ma"

Lolu calls the P. A's Office to inform her of the arrival of Miss Pamela. "Hello Cassy kindly bring Miss Pamela's outfit she is here to get it"

Cassy came to the reception area with a very big smile on her face which automatically produced a reciprocal smile from Miss Pamela.

Cassy said " Miss Pamela you are welcome, you came rather early this is so surprising. Pamela responded with a smile on her face" I know right, I have an emergency meeting to catch up with and I don't have any one available to get my dress for me. Tomorrow is the dinner at the Governor's house and I can't afford to look different. You know now my dress must always be unique and outstanding, no Lady must look better than me tomorrow at that dinner". "Don't worry your outfit will certainly be outstanding but I don't know if no Lady will look better than you sha ooo" Cassy said while smiling.

Cassy escorted Miss Pamela to the fitting room while she fitted her outfit, she was satisfied with what she saw, changed back into her clothing gave the dress back to Cassy for proper packaging while she headed to to Accountant to pay and bill. Shortly after Cassy brought the well packaged outfit, handed it over to Miss Pamela who briefly asked for Mo, Cassy told her Mo was around but due to the urgent meeting Miss Pamela had she told Cassy to say hello to Mo for her and left.

Mrs Ayodeji came in shortly after Miss Pamela left. She was greeted by Lolu and as she called Cassy to attend to her. Mrs Ayodeji own the Cloth Omolara worked on. She is know to be a complainer but at Mo's Fashion they believe clients are always right so they treat all clients with respect and decorum. Cassy got Mrs Ayodeji's cloth she fitted it and was impressed by the design of the stones and beads. Thereafter she paid and left smiling for the first time.

Lolu with a shocked expression looked at Cassy and said "did you see what I just saw, wow no complains today, that's amazing. I hope everyday will be like today". Cassy responded that "everyday will be like today if that stylist John will learn a thing or two from Omolara. Was he not the one that made her dress the last time which gave us so much issues from her because of his impatience. I don't know where he is always rushing to". "Lolu responded that thank God, with the way today started on a very good note I trust we will have a smooth working day today.

True to Lolu's words the day ran smoothly without hitches. Clients came in and out to get their Owambe outfits and the day went smoothly.
