22 Tomb of the Dead (1)

Alex was caught off guard by the sudden appearance of the notification. While he was aware of the various professions available in the game, he hadn't unlocked the alchemist profession yet. The unexpected event led him to wonder if being a vampire altered some of the game's mechanics.

'Is it because I am a vampire? Maybe some of the game's mechanics are different,' he pondered.

The Blood Potion created was of low quality, restoring only 50 HP per usage with a cooldown of 1 minute. Although not the optimal choice, it served its purpose. Moreover, it replenished his hunger, thus restoring his Blood Points, essential for utilizing his vampire abilities. Alex considered the possibility of learning alchemy in the future to craft superior Blood Potions, recognizing their life-saving potential.

After extracting blood from the lady and producing 10 Blood Potions, Alex erased her memory and departed the dark alley. He remained vigilant, scanning every corner for any signs of distant observers, but the desolate place was empty.

With everything in place for his dungeon exploration, Alex exited the city and headed towards the graveyard outside. The Tomb of the Dead, the first dungeon, awaited him there.

As Alex made his way to the graveyard, FriedBaconInTheMorning and his party were actively exploring the city, capturing their adventure on screen for their viewers. However, curiosity and speculation arose among the audience about the absence of Shadowborn.

Jey345: Where's Shadowborn? Is he too scared to show up?

ElenaQueen: He is probably too busy securing his position as the first-ranked player. And you? Busy falling victim to the initial wolves? Noob!

Similar to previous instances, Shadowborn enjoyed a legendary status, backed by video clips showcasing his prowess in eliminating opponents near the starting village. His fanbase fiercely defended his reputation, ready to combat any criticism that came his way.

FriedBacon, acknowledging this sentiment, took a diplomatic approach by expressing a desire to speak with Shadowborn privately. This gesture of respect raised eyebrows among his followers, leading some to question whether he was being too lenient.

While the virtual world buzzed with discussions and drama, Alex remained unfazed by the online chatter. He was focused on a more productive pursuit—clearing the first dungeon. Standing before the entrance in the graveyard, he cautiously descended into the unknown depths, navigating the eerie stone walls and avoiding potential traps.

His slow progress led him to a tunnel at the end of the staircase, culminating in a stone door adorned with a peculiar symbol. A notification appeared before him.

[Do you wish to enter Tomb of the Dead with the current party?]

Though Alex was alone, he affirmed his decision with a 'yes.' The door swung open, enveloping him in darkness as it sealed shut behind him, signaling the beginning of his solitary journey into the dungeon.

In the dimly lit confines of the Tomb of the Dead, Alex stood still, taking in his surroundings before deciding on his next move. The darkness that enveloped the space seemed impenetrable to the average eye, but as a vampire, Alex's heightened senses came to his aid.

The inky blackness failed to hinder him; instead, his vision adapted effortlessly to the low light. Shadows danced along the cold, stone walls, revealing the intricate carvings and ancient symbols that adorned the tomb's interior. The air was thick with a musty scent, a testament to the centuries that the structure had stood undisturbed.

As a vampire, the debuffs that might plague others in such an environment were absent. Far from feeling hindered, Alex experienced a sense of well-being, his physical and mental attributes seemingly enhanced. The silence that hung in the air was only broken by the faint echoes of his own footsteps and the occasional scurrying of unseen creatures in the darkness.

With newfound clarity and comfort, Alex prepared to venture deeper into the Tomb of the Dead, his vampiric nature serving as both guide and shield in the enigmatic depths of the dungeon.

In preparation for the challenges ahead, Alex recognized the difficulty of the task at hand within the Tomb of the Dead. To bolster his chances, he wisely utilized his free points to enhance his attributes further, fully aware that the battles ahead would demand his best.

His title as Shadowborn granted him a bonus of five attributes, and additional bonuses from his armor set were not reflected in the status menu. Recognizing the importance of luck (LCK) and dexterity (DEX) for his character, Alex decided to allocate his points strategically, reserving some for vitality (VIG) in case he needed more Health Points during dungeon exploration.

"Let's use 20 points, 15 in LCK and 5 in DEX. As for the rest, I will see where I need them," Alex murmured.

After the distribution, his attributes were as follows:
