14 Unexpected Bonus Reward
Zoom took his time clearing the dungeon and didn't rush it too much, he conserved his mana potion to the minimum afraid of accidentally overloading himself since once you died you would spawn outside of the dungeon which meant his dungeon run was over.
Unlike the first two hordes, the next few opponents Zoom encountered would be in smaller groups but they were a lot deadlier, Zoom had to retreat after killing a portion of the mobs then coming back for a second round. This was the strategy that Zoom had implemented to compensate for his weakness in numbers.
After finally clearing the mobs inside the dungeon other than the boss Zoom took a break to accumulate his small mini army of skeleton warriors, before he ran over to the boss room he first summoned fifteen skeleton warriors to kill the first batch of five skeleton warriors that the skeleton mage would summon while his three golems would delay the skeleton horde.
After making his preparations Zoom entered the boss room causing the skeleton mage to focus on him. It summoned it's skeleton army which was a horde of skeleton soldiers and 5 skeleton warriors that were buffed by the wind blessing.
Clank! Clank! Clank!
15 versus 5 was an unfair fight but the blessing gave the skeleton warriors that were summoned by the mage have the capabilities to fight in a 3v1 fight. Zoom's skeleton warriors had a minimal amount of intelligence which meant they could fight as a team but the mage's skeleton warriors had skills of their own turning the fight into a stalemate.
Zoom rushed in to one of the skeleton warriors that were his enemy and surprised it with a smack on the head, he slammed the skull of his bone staff to the skeleton warrior's skull making it lose it's focus for a few seconds, in those few seconds that the skeleton warriors were in disarray, Zoom's skeleton warriors came in to grasp at the opportunity.
Clank!
Zoom's skeleton slashed it's sword which was blocked but the other two skeletons that accompanied it swung their swords at the vulnerable enemy.
Clank! Clank!
The skeleton was pushed back after two swords pierced the side of it's chest plate before three more swings caused it to fall and crumble to the ground.
Gah!
The skeleton mage flew towards his fallen warriors before it pointed it's staff towards Zoom, both their staffs were pointed at each other before they each shot their own skeleton skull.
Bam! Bam!
It was a battle of attrition where Zoom knew he would lose. Zoom signalled for his three skeleton warriors to attack the skeleton mage, they dashed to the skeleton mage who wasn't in the air and was standing on the ground.
Gah!
A sword pierced through it's thin robe and onto it's ribcage, the other two warriors leaped into the air where they were about to plunge their swords into the mage but the mage wasn't all that fragile.
It tapped it's staff onto the ground twice and a large shockwave threw Zoom and his three skeleton warriors away. The skeleton mage who now had a half of it's health left flew into the air as it looked down on everything below it.
Zoom commanded for his three skeleton warriors to provide assistance to his other warriors so they can be prepared to fight when another batch of skeleton warriors were to be summoned by the skeleton mage.
Bam! Bam! Bam!
Zoom and the mage were in a one versus one situation, the mage had a larger mana reserve used its advantage in terms of mana to overwhelm the teenager but Zoom only needed to dodge the skeleton skulls coming his way. Zoom's plan was to let the mage use up all of it's mana before he would counterattack and launch his own offensive.
Bam! Bam! Bam!
After shooting more than thirty skeleton skulls towards Zoom not a single one of them hit it's mark, now that it's mana was depleted Zoom pointed his staff and aimed at the skeleton mage before shooting a skeleton skull.
The mage dodged the skeleton skull aimed at it's direction and continued to dodge the next. Countless skulls were sent at it's direction but he dodged them almost effortlessly.
Seeing that the skeleton mage could dodge his attacks without even breaking a sweat Zoom realised something. "I'm screwed."
'How am I suppose to kill that thing if I can't hit it!' Zoom gritted his teeth while running away, 'Wait since that thing doesn't have wings does it mean that it uses mana to stay afloat? All have to do is wait!' Whether this speculation was true or not, Zoom was going to find out.
For the past 30 minutes Zoom continued to eradicate every skeleton warrior sent his way while also luring the skeleton soldiers away. 'How long?!' Zoom couldn't wait any longer and he planned to exit the dungeon in the next few minutes before the skeleton mage finally decided to descend.
Now that the mage had descended from the sky Zoom and his skeleton warriors surrounded the mage. The mage was vulnerable like a sheep in a wolf's den. The skeleton warriors pounced on the mage like there was no tomorrow s they slashed the mage apart, it's thin robes doing nothing in order to block the attacks.
