Lady Lilith

In the midst of a dark room, light was nonexistent, except for the burning candles which dimly lit up the pitch-black interior.

No human could see a thing unless they focused hard enough… considering this place wasn't made for the humanoid race of any kind. This room was created for one specific individual, who kept away from the sunlight, bathing in the dark shadows for all eternity.

She sat atop a throne, quite small in her appearance. Her feet didn't touch the ground—she appeared to be some child—but she was far from it. Her crimson-red eyes were the only thing that gave color in this unlighted room.

She was gently brushing her hand against something… one stroke after the next as if she were petting some animal.

"I see…" She muttered, "So we're stuck inside the game. Is that why my emotions dwindled so effortlessly?" Asked the small girl, "…That is quite troublesome." Her accent was British, and her purpose was that of an aristocratic heiress.

"Yes, Lady Lilith… the admins in North Continent exposed themselves to be the holy Trinity, creators of Magic itself! They gave light to our situation. Our souls are trapped inside the game, and our bodies in the real world have already perished. For all we know, most of us are already being buried as we speak." A player who was dressed in black spiky armor was kneeling before this small woman, bowing his head, "What shall we do?" He asked.

"Hmm. What shall we do indeed, General Tocka? Perhaps panicking will help our situation. That's what the humanoid race, such as yourself loves to do after all; panic whenever things don't go their way."

"L-Lady Lilith… I don't think we should be joking about this matter."

"Why not? There is nothing we can do. Should we wallow in sorrow and curse the gods for everything, or should we accept that this is our new life, and adjust to it accordingly? With the matter at hand, my personal opinion is to adjust to this new life. I see no other option."

"Th-This is something hard for me to accept…" Exclaimed General Tocka.

"It's something hard for all of us to accept. It may not seem like it, but I'm quite displeased with the circumstances at hand. Considering our souls have been trapped inside our Game Avatars, we also take the traits of our avatars, such as personality, desires, and goals in life."

"I-Is that really the case? But for me… I feel the same." Exclaimed Tocka.

"It's because your Game Avatar, known as Tocka, was made to be the same as your real-life personality. Quite bland if you ask me."

"…Oh, I see, I suppose that makes sense."

Lilith slowly rested her hand on top of an individual kneeling beside her. Said individual appeared to be human. A girl with a long black dress, white hair in two pigtails, and high heels.

"You may be excused, Aristella."

"Nnn. Already? Just a little bit longer master… please?"

"Do you enjoy my head pats?"

"M-More than anything in this world!" Exclaimed Aristella.

"Very well." Lilith would continue to Pat the woman's head, humming a nostalgic tune.

"May I ask you something, Lady Lilith?" Questioned Tocka.

"Go ahead." Responded Lilith.

"In your personal opinion, how do you think all of this happened? Our souls being trapped in the game, to even the NPCs gaining their own souls, and functioning morality."

"Oh? Good question… good question indeed, General Tocka. That's a lot to answer."

"Unn. Can the conversation be over already? His voice is annoying…"

"Now now, Aristella, you can enjoy my singing in a moment. But for now, just enjoy the head pats I give you."

"…Yes Lady Lilith."

"Now, to answer your question, Tocka, it is quite simple. In our real world, Isekai World Online appeared from thin air, in the year 2030. The company that created this game has never been heard of or seen before, but it didn't stop people from playing it. The Virtual Reality headsets would sell for thousands, and the game sold at the same price. People from all over the world bought it when the Beta was released… such as me, which is why I'm one of the Four Great Kings, because I dedicated every day to playing this game and completing the missions in the beta, to obtain Arcane Magic." Lilith closed her eyes, "I believe that the Virtual Reality headsets act as a transportation device…"

"Transportation device?" Mumbled Tocka.

"Yes, a Transportation Device. It usually transports our consciousness into the game, so we can have a "realer" experience when playing… but its true purpose was to one day transport our souls into the game, separating them from our real bodies, and putting them in our Game Avatars."

"I see. So you believed this was planned from the start?"

"Yes. Planned by the creator of this game. As far as we know, this world is vast in lore, backstory, and development. It has far too much story in it, just to be considered a game. Even Dungeons and Dragons pale in comparison when it comes to the creatures, backstory, lore, and World Background of Isekai World Online."

"E-Even more than Dungeons and Dragons? I severely doubt that…"

"Oh? But it is true. You may not know it, considering you spend time in the East Continent rather than exploring the others."

"…I suppose you have a point, I apologize."

"Do not apologize, I may be your superior, and ruler, but we're still players at heart, Tocka."

"You're far too kind my lady…" he lifted his head, "So… the purpose of this game, what do you think it was created for?"

Lilith closed her eyes, gathering her thoughts together for a brief moment.

"In the backstory for Isekai World Online, it stated that on the day of Genesis, the creator felt lonely and bored. He had nothing to keep himself entertained and always existed before the void. He preceded all of existence and nonexistence, as he was a being that defied those terms and concepts. He existed as himself before the concept of 'nonexistence' and 'void' came into being. The Creator had nothing to keep himself entertained, joyous, and pleased, thus, he created the world."

Tocka looked displeased in his face, "So all of this, it's because he's bored? He wants his own entertainment, so he decided to trap all of us inside the game… is that what you're saying?"

"Yes, it's clear as day if I say so myself… even though I never saw the daylight once in my life."

"May I stand, Lady Lilith?" Asked Tocka.

"You may."

Tocka stood up from his kneeling position, resting his hand upon the hilt of his sword.

"I believe we should have an assembly with the other Great Kings. Emperor, King of the North Continent, Angelica, King of the West Continent, and Lucifer, King of the South Continent. Together, we can discuss this matter, and set aside hatred for one another. With the circumstances at hand, hating one another will get us nowhere."

"Kneel."

Tocka would suddenly drop to the ground in a kneeling position.

"Ghhh… Lady Lilith's authority…?" Muttered Tocka.

Her ability, known as The Authority, gives her authority over people, objects, and abilities. She can give commands to any one of them, and create any outcome she desires. By turning a stone into a blade, changing a humanoid race into an abnormal race, to simply wishing one out of existence with one word. Such was the power of a Great King.

"Do not cross the line, Tocka. You know that such a thing is impossible. Wishing for the Great Kings to have a get-together. Have you gone mad?" Lilith would stand up from the throne, resting Aristella's head in her seat. The small woman approached Tocka, as her elegant Mary Jane shoes echoed across the interior of the room, "Lucifer is a man who despises Angelica, and Emperor is a man who I despise. He's rash, impudent, tyrannical, and shows no mercy for those who defy him. Tyrannical leaders who rule with power is someone I wouldn't put my faith in, and yet he has a large following." She stopped in front of Tocka with her slitted crimson eyes slanting closer into his face, "The day we get along, is the day we abnormal races are accepted in society."

"…But if we continue to hate each other… we cannot strive together in this world… it'll just be like our other world, where we kill each other over disagreements. Starting wars with one another for pointless grudges! Especially over the personality of another player…"

"Pointless?" She would stand back up straight, "They're far from pointless. Emperor is the leader of the Humanoid race, so they call him. He will do anything to benefit the humanoid kind, even if it means wiping out the abnormal race, such as us. There's a reason I hate him, and it's from that possibility alone, not just from personality. I cannot trust a man who leads a chaotic race of people, and neither can you."

"I apologize… Lady Lilith, I stepped out of line. I should be cautious of what I say from now on."

"Do not apologize, Tocka, be better. Now then, I'm off to have some tea, do you care to join me? Perhaps even you, Aristella."

"Y-Yes my lady." Muttered Tocka.

"I would love some tea!" Cried Aristella as she stood back up, jogging towards them.

"Good, let us be off, and have the servants prepare us some delicacy."
