Way of progression

The collection of essences was the most important thing for rulers in the game world. The key to ruler survival in the game was essence. No matter how strong a ruler became, his account would get deleted if he could not submit the required essence.

There was no way for a player to earn any essence in the space village.

Even though Glitch did not get any messages, he knew the moment one game day passed, he would get two essences. Two essences were the passive income that each group ruler could get.

A group ruler must submit essence every 15 days in real life and every month in-game.

The first submission of 20 essences would not be a problem, as he would earn far more just from passive income.

But the key here was Essence Collector. This was a special storage that each ruler had to build in the game world. Other rulers could attack this storage and steal a massive chunk of essence from one another.

However, there was a restriction on the ruler level that stopped any higher-level rulers from attacking him, as long as he did not attack them directly.

This also provided a chance for essence feeders. Essence feeders were the players who failed to become kingdom rulers in 3 months, but they survived by accumulating essence for the last submission. Most of these essence feeders raid other new rulers for the essence.

They were the leach that all the players on the planets wanted to die.

There were three ways a ruler could progress in the game world.

First, they could create a stable base, like a village. They could protect their essence storage in the village and recruit talented NPCs to work for them. This was the most solid way, but it was too slow and only possible when a bunch of rulers came together to work.

Most of the big guilds use this method.

Second, rulers could work under some NPC organization, like a kingdom or adventure guild, and more.

To do this, players needed to leave their essence storage with the NPC organization. In this way, players did not have to worry about extra stuff and could just focus on their species' development.

This also gave them extra mobility and workforce, as they did not have to spend resources to protect their storage. But the downside was that they had to do lots of unwanted things for the NPC organization. This method was best for the start of the game and for those who were not part of any guild in the game.

The third was creature training. Here, players let their summoned creatures learn lifestyle skills so that they do not have to depend on others. This was a super slow method and only possible in the later phase of the game, where rulers had lots of summoned creatures.

This was one thing that set player rulers apart from NPC rulers. Most of the NPC rulers already had lots of connections in the game world. They sailed through the game world with little to no problem.

While most players used the hybrid method, which combined a little bit of each, Glitch had the same thing in mind. If he was successful in forming a connection with the information guild, he planned to place all his focus on learning a good subclass.

Now, with no support, there were limits on the number of creatures he could call out. He sighed and shook his head. There were multiple organizations present in the village, but he did not have much interest in them.

He knew he could only be a worker for them, with nothing to show them. He discarded his plan to form a connection and decided to do it after he made some progress.

He stopped thinking about the organization and walked around the market to get the basic supplies and gather information about his current position.

His first destination was the weapon shop, where he bought two copper-grade swords. Each with a sharpness buff spell that increases the critical chance of swords by 2%.

He easily got both swords for a silver coin. Along with the copper swords, he also purchased common iron-grade weapons in bulk.

The best-quality iron-grade weapons were only 2 bronzes each. He bought a batch of 20 weapons of different varieties, like 20 long swords, 20 war axes, 20 maces, and more. Overall, he spent 1 silver coin on these weapons.

Then he spent an extra 1 silver coin on healing potions, food, water, and a few sets of warm clothes. He decided not to invest in any armor and to save the last silver coin for now.

Glitch stood at the gate of the first village, wrapped in a thin black jacket with grey leather pants. He stared at the planet map in his hand.

Right now, he was in the Rown Kingdom. This was a human-based kingdom located in the northern part of the planet. The Rown Kingdom was a small, remote kingdom that was surrounded by enormous mountains from three sides that protected them from the invasion of others.

The map in his hand did not go into detail about the area outside the Rown kingdom. There was just a vague marking of four other small kingdoms around the Rown kingdom. Beasts ruled three out of four of these kingdoms.

Except for these 5 small kingdoms, 2 big kingdoms were present near the border of the northern and central areas. These two big kingdoms separate the northern region from the central region. His luck was great in terms of his first kingdom, but the problem was that all the meeting points shown by teacher Ron were in two old kingdoms.

Now the Rown kingdom was at the top, and he needed to cross two other small kingdoms just to reach the nearest meeting point. He frowned and rubbed his forehead. 'Shit, just traveling to that area will take around 1 month of game time. Damn it, I have to waste half of my time moving around.'

Glitch threw the map in his inventory in frustration. A wave of frustration washed over him as he realized the travel time.
