Shakhans

"I did it, boss."

Glitch gulped down at that smile. This entire scene reminded him of his experience in the trial.

There was no power, no technique, only pure brutality. Lark punched that stag with such familiarity that it was clear this was not the first time this guy had done this.

Glitch did not even know what to make of this situation. Never in his wild imagination did he think that this little guy would compete with him in brutality.

'Fck, me, my assistant, and my species; all of us are going to be the same.' Glitch smacked his forehead and covered his face, but behind his hand, he had this wide smile.

He wanted to have a careful, kind assistant, but now it looked like there was no hope for a good boy-bad boy trope here. Everyone was going to be savages in this space village.

Not thinking much, he gave a thumbs up to Lark: "Good work, dude. Now come up; it's time to meet our villagers."

Lark nodded in enthusiasm and, not caring about the mud all over his body, floated next to Glitch.

Glitch took a deep breath and pressed on the first slots of Shakhans.

Ding!

A notification popped up on his face.

[Do you want to call the base 100 members of your species? (Yes/no)]

Not wasting more time, he pressed yes.

As soon as he did that, white light engulfed the entire space village. It was so bright that even the dark black ground of Space Village disappeared.

Soon the light dimmed down, and he saw a gray portal opening right in the middle of the central region.

Soon, a big humanoid creature covered in minimal clothes made up of leaves walked out. It was around 7-8 feet in height, with a skinny build and dark grayish-rough skin.

Its sharp, angular face was almost like that of a human, except it had very thin, see-through bluish hair, making the scalp underneath visible as it walked.

The thing that attracted him was those large almond eyes with brownish pupils. Except for the thin scalp hair, it looked the same as humans.

But the moment he focused on his mouth, it was anything but human. Large, wide mouth with a set of sharp shark-like teeth shining in the front, giving it a close to a beast's appearance.

Glitch noticed two small, 3–4-inch-long tentacles attached to both sides of its neck, moving freely in the air. These were the stamps that showed the primordial lineage that this creature carried.

Beyond the superficial changes, he could sense a little pressure coming from the creature. It did not take him long to realize that it was because of the primal energy around this creature.

It was nothing big, just a slight difference from the usual.

He continued to look at this creature in fascination. The other fascinating thing he noticed was that the skin around the joint had hard cracks.

The moment he noticed these cracks, it hit him that this was Shakhan's with the Shredding primal trait.

All the shakhans looked different from one another, depending on their trait. The dark gray skin and skin cracks at the joint were the features of those with a shredding trait, one of the most common traits of shakhans in the game world.

Just after the first guys walked out, one after another, shakhans with similar traits followed behind the first creature. All of them were in a dazed state. It was the way the creature got teleported into the space village.

Soon, another row of Shakhans started walking out. This time they had smooth, light gray skin with extra-wide mouths that almost reached their ears.

These sets of Shakhans did not have any skin cracks. Instead, they had little dangling skins, kind of like fat dangling down their otherwise chiseled bodies.

Light gray skin was common among most of the Shakhans, but the extra-wide ears-to-ear mouth and fat dangling on the body told him that these were Shakhans with Devour primal traits. Another super common shakhan that most already knew about.

This was only the start, as one after another eight slightly different-looking rows of shakhans moved out of the portal.

He recognized four rows of Shakhans, each with known common traits, while others were still mysteries for him.

The dazed Shakhans just walked out and stood in the organized group just in front of the portal. Glitch knew that until the portal closed, these guys would remain in the same state.

After minutes, finally, the 100th Shakhan stepped out of the portal. As soon as the last Shakhan walked out of the portal, the portal suddenly collapsed with another bright light.

Ding!

[Registering all the Shakhans to the space village under Ruler Glitch.]

[The village meets the basic requirements and turns into a complete village.]

[Observer mode along with the observer's passive skills are added for ruler use.

(Note: Change to observe mode to access the special passive.)]

Glitch ignored all the notifications, as he already knew all the special powers.

These were temporary powers he could use to observe his space village without moving around everywhere.

One of the passive powers also allowed him to teleport anywhere inside this space village, saving him a lot of time.

There were a few more to help him develop the village, but all these powers were useless outside the space village.

Glitch just stared at Shakhan's group, waiting for them to regain their senses.

Lark also stared at them with interest. There were a lot of different Shakhans, but each group had 10 members with an equal number of males and females.

Now these were the cores that set the future of his species.

After a few minutes, it was like the breaking of an illusion, and all the Shakhans came to their senses at once.

Before he could react, he saw most of the subgroups jump back from the combined group. It was like a chain reaction where seven groups moved to the edges. They stared at the three groups still standing in the middle with eyes full of caution and fear.
